Hi. Good question. After 3 years, it still looks like it did at the end of the video. But I’ll note that it stays garaged when it’s not being used. I’m not sure if it would behave differently if it got constant sun. If it were outside a lot, I’d definitely use a sun shade in the windshield.
Now that it’s been a couple years, I’m curious how the repair is holding up? I’ve been considering a similar repair, but just with the filler, not the melted plastic.
So far so good. No changes in the dash at all since the day I finished it. No cracks, the texture still looks good. I’m pretty happy with the results. For full disclosure, the car is garaged, so it does not get exposed to much direct sunlight or temperature variation.
