That scene is actually a reference to a Middle Ages practice called “flyghting” (I think that’s how it’s spelled) which were essentially medieval rap battles.

Damned if I wasn't drooling due to discerning the deed of this documentary being designed.
D4 was great. A unique but bizarre concept, a lot of typical Japanese oddities, great music, and just fucking hilarious from time to time. The stamina meter is a bit of a nuisance but having them in action sequences can possibly make the game nigh-impossible. (The Zapatero action scene is pretty damn long) All in all neat concept and I wish for more

The speakers repeated alliteration of the heavy 'D' sound creates a patterned thudding to the listener, thus showing the stop-start nature of the game.

Funny, but I don't agree with Yahtzee, especially since SWERY and his team were shafted by Microsoft to just release everything that they had finished and then weren't given enough backing by Microsoft.

I really like your standpoint on many issues. Your personality coupled with good writing make a truly seamless review of games that I quite enjoy. Honestly I don't watch most of these reviews to get a sense of the games I haven't bought yet. I watch them because I chuckle and feel as if I have enjoyed myself by the end of the video. I'd be very interested how you would react to something like Payday 2. I quite enjoy the game, but I'm sure there are some flaws I have overlooked because I am too busy wasting all of my LMG rounds to try to take down a Bulldozer (yes that's what they are called) and praying my team mates don't go down as I inevitably get my ass handed to me to really take a second look at the game for it's pros and cons. Similar to the way I waste all my minutes gaming to see the pros and cons of an A in a college class. Maybe try giving it a look. Also the DLC is free if you look up how to do it. No pressure though, I'm fairly sure any game you review will make a good video simply by calculating statistics of how many good videos you have put out consistently. Thank you for sticking with this job, not that you have much of a choice at this point but effort is still being made on your part to make these videos enjoyable and I appreciate that.

What a daring display of distinct dialogue!
I'm surprised at how gentle Yahtzee was with this review. Not to say the review was bad, it did have it's funny moments (I.E., the Help Desk gag, the "Lost behind the fridge" metaphor, etc), and he pointed out the bad moments, but he didn't exactly tear the game to tiny little pieces either. To top that off, in this weeks Extra punctuation article, he said that D4 is a technical improvement over Deadly Premonition.

LOLed at some of the funny parts, such as Toffee Crisps bar depicting stamina, and David's Pac-Man mouth eating some treats, and also eating a female imp! The QTE imp using its Pac-Man mouth to chomp down the food is priceless! XD

I think everything is in David's mind. I think he is traumatized. Think about it. The surgeon is the guy who removed the bullet from his head. Forrest talks to Amanda saying "Don't look at me like that, I am giving him a reason to live" Which makes me think that Forrest is just playing along with his delusion or perhaps using the delusion to get information from events he doesnt remember.
A lot of time was also spent talking about Forrest's wife. In the Case notes David is suspicious that Forrest is withholding the real reason they are fighting. I believe this to be over David. If you think about it, Forrest seems like he is there often, Forrester makes it clear when completing his cases it is odd that David is asking for food which tells me he isnt eating. That also adds a dynamic to the reason for the stamina bar.
Look at the facts, everything David has done in "the past" he has directly impacted. The NPCs knew him in Episode 1 before he apparently went back in time further to the first time he actually meets them on the plane ride to get the "Rabbit". This points to it being his memories and not time travel.
Look at Amanda as well. Peggy's letters say she is a cat, and that explains why she is treated as a cat by Forrest in all scenarios. So you may ask yourself, why does he see a woman? In one of Peggy's letters she mentions that she is pregnant and in one of Deborah's cases she mentions a date which David coresponds to Peggys death which is approcimately 1 year after the pregnancy date. Now Peggy did not look pregnant in her death scene and there was no mention of a lost baby so that baby exists. Now Peggy's last words were "Find D" Is it not possible she meant "Find Dee" as in the nickname for Deandra? So whomever killed Peggy and shot David, took their baby.
The only things I havent been able to figure out is the connection to the opening scene, the resemblance of David and Dr. Oldmann and why they used the Demonic sounding voice for Dr. Oldmann.

I think Swery at least did a good job on the cliffhanger! He also improved on who he hires, the casting agent for this game wasn't someone who gives every role to talentless relatives! The sound designer doesn't seem to have been locked in a cage since birth and now knows that a woman walking around a store in heels won't sound like a man running around a store in steeled tow boots after running through mud. And if Swery's the sound director, then welcome to civilization, here sounds match up differently than you thought in the dark cave which was not an ally but that which you were born! Characters seem to react "appropriately" at least to the mood. The song writer seems to not be someone who's either tone deaf or with 3 fingers on his string plucking hand, nor do they take a vacation for over two thirds of the game's development, only rushing out a few songs! And the characters have more than 10 animations! I've been referring to Deadly Premonition where someone dies and all the protagonist "York" has to say about it is "Hmm, interesting" and points to his head whenever he thinks!

This is last week's episode; the one that came out today on the Escapist website is Hyrule Warriors.
So my guess is that Mordor will be up on the Escapist next week and Isolation the week after that.
Remember he's in Australia, so ant game that has more blood than a papercut will be put through the ringer before getting realeased.
