That music seemed very calming to the elk , I’ll have to try that next time in the woods……
Thanks for posting this. Helps me improve calling and be less critical of it. Lotta variety in the calls .
I love to hear this "chirping" sound! This was a great video to watch and listen to the interaction between Cows and Calves.
I like the low key ambient and obviously the herd chatter
Wow! I love this!! Pretty good size heard.
FANTASTIC VIDEO!
Just what I was looking for, thanks.
Love the video and sound
Thank you
👊👊👊 Thanks for watching!!
Great video, tells you, you don't have to have a perfect repeatable mew. All kinds of different sounding mews. Thank you for sharing!
I’m super curious to know how far behind the herd were the cougars?
It’s the mother load
where is this located?
Utah!!
@@StevenJamesLRO thank you
Do elk have a "scream" warning call like whitetail do?
Elk typically will bark if they feel threatened or feel the presence of something unknown. Not like how a dog barks over and over, but more like 1 bark every 10-15 seconds. It's quite loud and most the time it's what we call a sentry cow that'll make it. (Sentries are often the 3-4 year old cows that are always on the lookout for the rest of the herd). Although sentries can be any elk as well as all elk can and will bark if they feel threatened. In our experience it's usually the cows and spikes, sometimes young raghorns that usually make the bark sound.
A scream? Are you talking about a blow?
Yeah. I've twice had large cows barking at me like Spankie James describes when I've wandered into them while hiking. Very loud and something between a giant dog and a giant seal, I would say.
Do we really need the background music ?????
Yes, yes you do. Just close your eyes and listen, It won't hurt. I promise!
