  • This video gives a tutorial on how to prefill fields, such as radio buttons, checkboxes, and text fields utilizing Parameters and adjusting the URL.
Download an example form file to import for immediate use in your Gravity Forms: craftedplugins.com/product/gr...
An updated video and more clearly outlined steps are available at: craftedplugins.com/gravity-fo...
In your gravity form field element, click the Advanced Tab, select Allow Field to Be Populated Dynamically, and enter a value as the Parameter Name.
To call this parameter, simply adjust the URL in the link or button to the page with the form following the sequence below:
    domain.com/?parameter1=valuea
For multiple parameters to prefill, utilize "&":
    domain.com/?parameter1=valuea...
If your parameter value is 2 words, use "+" between the words:
    domain.com/?parameter1=first+...
    Troubleshooting:
Common errors occur when the value, in a radio button option, for example, is not written exactly as it appears in the form. Capitalization, for example, needs to be aligned.
Additionally, make sure the spelling of the parameter is correct.

What about if you have a multistep form and want to autofill the first 2 steps and move automatically to the third step when the person has to fill in the name?

Hi Shayma! This is doable either by having a specific URL that includes the parameters from the workflow OR there are ways to adjust form fields based on entries within that form, but it takes a bit more work. We've been able to add the functionality before and are happy to put together a quote for you if you want to fill out our consult form on socialspeaknetwork.com. Hope to hear from you!

Thank you, this was what I needed... I do have a quick ?? If I want to prefill 3 parameters can I do that with just separating them with & and, if so, what do I use for a numeric pricing field - the label and values are $25, $50 etc... I've tried everything and the first 2 work but the last one does not... example: ?paypal=Debit+or+Credit+by+Paypal&type=single&donate=$25

Sorry, April for the delay! I didn't see your question! I think if you leave out the "$" this should work for the numeric value. Were you able to figure this out?

How does it work if a user logged in and i like he's phone number to be prefielled. The phone number is in the database. And I want to get the use phone number to prefill in a form.

Good question! User information can be added to the Default Value for a form field in the format {user:[Meta Key]} (for example: {user:first_name} or in your case, I would test something along the lines of {user:user_phone}. More information is available on this here: docs.gravityforms.com/user-merge-tag/
