When I was watching this video without looking at comments, I already know that the comments are gonna be super positive. Thanks a lot. If you read my comment, would you help me find out a function for "click" actions? - like if you just click a column, you get a checkmark symbol to be appeared (no checkbox).
Thank you for sharing in details and how-to in this video. Wanted to know it´s benefits and how I can be better within the Google Sheets opportunities and especially those formulas. Can or will always use this one for advice in the future.
Hello, please note that the file is view only and you will need to create your own copy to enable you to create a custom filters view. Thought you should know.
Hey man this is great!!! I just wanted to clarify something you seemed to miss when you were explaining the VLOOKUP function or maybe i'm wrong and you can correct me!! When you are using false in the last argument of the function it's not necessary to have the data in ascending order. For example, im using this function in my bakery spreadsheet to calculate my recipes and more. I have a sheet with the list of ingredients, the price and the weight of each. And then, i have a recipe calculator that i duplicate every time i want to calculate a new recipe with the vlookup function for every price and weight of ingredient searching by the name of every ingredient in my page with the list of ing. So everytime a price changes i can change it only in my list of ingredients sheet and it will automaticly change in the other pages. I hope im right jajajsjsjj if not i'll have to change everything!!!
Great video. I always was struggling with Google Sheets, now I believe it should be easier to work on them. I need to make myself similar file and just exercise. Thank you so much, Joe!
Thank you for all the information in this video. What I really want to know is if you can make a video on how to link just an image that is saved on your CPU and that will only open on the sheet if you hover over the text it's tagged to in a cell with your mouse or click it to open. Also at the same time, giving the link a shorter name : Like "Price" and not the full name c:\desktop ewfile\price. I don't even know if this is possible. Thank you again. Looking forward to your reply.
Really appreciate the great content you showcased here. Been using Google Sheets for years and didn't know almost any of this. Or at least not nearly to the point that you explained it. Thank you so, so much!
Thank you for the clear explanation. I miss this skill on many education channels on TH-cam. I also have the question whether this sheet can be shared.
32:05 You could have also used the alternating colors feature directly under the conditional formatting in the menu shown here to do the same thing without the formula.

Very good content. Using the macro, how do I select a prededermined cell range to have the cells populated by the user one cell at a time? -OR- have two predetermined cell ranges based on a checkbox to select the cells one at a time for the user to populate the information in the cells needed based on the status of the checkbox? Can each cell be highlighted and a border added as it moves through the range so the user can see where he or she is in the sheet?
A wonderful tutorial about Google Sheets. Thank you very much for the time and effort. It cleared a couple of things for me. However, just a small edit - @ 01:02:10, you mentioned that the data needs to be sorted for _VLOOKUP._ _VLOOKUP_ and _HLOOKUP_ functions don't need the data to be sorted. That condition only applies when using the _LOOKUP_ function.
