  • I've had some time to use my binding tower since I built it in this video. • Building my Router Bin...
I found a few things that I could improve so I decided to rebuild it and include those improvements. This is the Mk2 Binding Tower.

Really terrific job of thinking outside the box to engineer your router jig! I LOVE building my own tools, rather than buy them whenever possible. I end up with something that does exactly what I want it to do, rather than fiddle with something that doesn't quite fit the bill. I will be looking into building one of these, but have to do some creative thinking to adapt the cradle to the Ovation and Adamas guitars I work on. Excellent second attempt on the build!

I love your videos and they have helped me out greatly as I've been fiddling with a guitar I have. I want to compliment how much positivity you exude. There's something about your can-do attitude that gives me confidence is trying out projects myself. Never stop being who you are man!

I would also be interested in the kit to build one of these as I do not have a 3D printer. Great work. Thank you for sharing.

Another modification you could add to the device is perhaps a variable height post so that a constant binding channel is cut especially for carved tops/backs guitars

I would round over all of the sharp corners as well as bevel up the bottom of the plate along the three edges that ride on the project piece.

I’d buy one premade. One less thing to make. 😃 or even a kit with all the parts.

I would be interested in the jig. I do not have a 3D printer, so unless I buy one, this is my way of having the jig. Thanks.

You might get more wiggle room if you reverse the vertical piece of the L bracket for the router base to the top side behind the router body. Instead of underneath. You would just need a taller pillar.

A premade jig would be something i would definitely have an interest in, any idea of the price point yet?

I would also be interested in a “kit” i dont have access to a 3d printer. If you could make those parts and sell them with the plans I can do the rest. And nice work!
