The BKKS is supposed to be there to help koi keepers - not ban them . A quiet word and a little education is all that was needed here . Totally over the top , heavy handed treatment of a paying guest . I hope that now they`ve had the time to think about it , they`ll reconsider their actions . How they act now , will be a good test of their decency and credibility .
I spoke to you before you posted this video, its such a shame that they didn't take the opportunity to use your channel to show everyone the technicalities of a shows bio security so we could all learn, and something we the hobbiest could possibly use. Im aware of some of the comments you received which were disgusting and some totally unacceptable. I do hope that they reconsider, and allow you the opportunity to film how their bio security works and what they consider safe regarding filming.

@@tonybarker428 Perhaps he should have Tony but is banning from all future shows proportionate? You obviously think so but for many of the koi community I think you will find it will come across as harsh.

For your information Andy came to our show last year, and ASKED if he could film in the centre ring , I explained that he couldn’t because judging was taking place and because of Bio security reasons, he was fine with that. If he would have asked things could have been so much different.

It was so clear that you weren't doing anything to cause a risk. Their treatment of you has made me decide not to go next year. For me, it was lovely to see someone create a video thinking outside of the box, instead of doing what everyone else does! The professional way would have been to ask you to create another video just mentioning to others not to go behind the scenes. Instead, they treated you terribly! More fool them! I'm sure there will be a lot of people who decide not to go from here on. Clearly run by a bunch of pompous twits! Change the vowel if you like! Meanwhile, I love your videos. I love that I don't know what your nostril hair looks like and I love that you don't appear to be filming during an earthquake! Best videos out there in my opinion. We never miss them!

I know it’s further for you to drive, but you really should visit The South East All England Koi Show on the 23rd and 24th September, it’s not part of the BKKS and in my opinion is a much better show than the BKKS National!

Frankly I think this is massively disrespectful from BKKS. It’s the hobbyists and TH-cam Channels that help fuel these events how does banning someone for simply filming the ins and outs of the event benefit anyone. It’s massively disappointing to hear this news

I was away on holiday so haven't seen the previous video's comments, but it doesn't sound good to me at all.
Attacking anyone via social media, who visited the show, is a very poor way to promote the BKKS.
That has just caused far more irreparable reputational damage, than all the positive work they had done before to promote the show.
Jobsworths Andy! How many other people were filming? Have they all been banned? There'll be no one allowed to go next year!!😂 The power has gone to their heads 😂😂😂
That is a ridiculous response from the BKKS. Perhaps they should address how they broke all of the event H&S rules by having unattended activities for youngsters on the site. Especially after one child was severely injured with a major gash to his head and required hospital treatment. We have seen all this happen before with those in charge of the BKKS. They get so puffed up with their own importance they forget exactly why they are there. The BKKS came close to collapsing once before because of the elitist attitude of the ruling body. Perhaps as mentioned in one of the other comments we should organise our own TH-camrs Koi show and boycott any BKKS shows. Lets see how long they last without us covering the shows.

Perhaps you could have read the safety signage outside and inside the buss, that stated children were to be supervised at all times by either parents or employees of the heart of England show ground. Unfortunately the staff member from heart of England disappeared when he was supposed to be supervising the children. This staff member was supplied by the heart of England and not the BKKS.
@@KoiWithPaul perhaps you should look into liability before you try passing responsibility on to someone else. The event was held by the BKKS and we bought tickets for entry from them. Therefore responsibility and liability rests with them regardless of whether the contract it out or not. In addition to this issue some of the comments that were left on Andy's original video by BKKS senior members were beyond excuse and he deserves a full public apology for those alone. Threats of destructive behaviour and physical violence are so far beyond acceptable behaviour from anyone associated with the BKKS. It's a shame Andy has removed the video so everyone could read those comments for themselves.

Very unproffessional of them. If they really felt so strongly a warning would surely have been the way to go as a first step. If they've anything about them, they will surely reconsider their decision and as you say, in the future put warnings/info on tickets, at entries and around the site making clear their policy. Hopefully it works out positively for you soon Andy.

I’m a bit late to this but I think TH-camrs should get behind you and boycott their shows. Which have grown on the back of TH-cam videos. But then maybe that’s what they want, it cuts down on the competition so they have a better chance to win. Stuff em!

Hiya, I dosed with the Formalin first, then the malachite after an hour or so. I find it works better that way for my pond. Then redosed after 5 days and again another 5 days later. Monitor PH this time though..😉👍

What did you cut the razor wire with, at this Bio Secure site, an OAT CAKE 😂 No signs, no one stopping you, it’s just nasty people trying to be heard and feel important. As for cameras in the vats, the fish have to put up with far worse than that all day long and getting to the show in the first place, all puts huge amounts of stress on a fish. Keep doing what you do Andy, it’s really good mate 👍🏻

Unfortunately we live in a society that is to quick to cancel people nowadays. I only just joined the bkks last week and I think I will be writing to them already! You are right they at least should consider having some signage, or written etiquette for attendees as guidance, Banning people for unwritten rules is very harsh

I’m really surprised at the ban ! I saw loads of people doing the same ! They have just decided as a popular TH-cam creator to make an example ! These people love a bit of power ! I for one will NOT be returning to the show as they don’t deserve my money ! Utterly horrid behaviour on their part - they could have contacted you - explained the situation and then said “please don’t do that again” in stead these self elected (sorry mate selected) people of power have gone over the top ! - keep doing what you’re doing and we will support you !

I only go to the shows to look at the store's to see what there selling I wouldn't buy fish there to much stress for fish could bring back problems to your pond i think your face doesn't fit when others do the same thing your not missing much I stop going to crufts with my dog because he was being sick on the way home not from me show . I've never heard so much shit in my life banned for videoing koi..and I would love to know the name of this certain chairman.. because you are aloud to film koi in Japan long as you ask first due to respect of the Japanese culture..I might pop to the next koi show one because I would love to meet this so called chairman..and two that's all he his is a chairman Not the one involved in organising them all

I would say that they also went against health and safety and biohazard is the touching of water or fish without disinfected hands and arms. Over a certain amount of people you should have a first aid tent I did not notice one they should also have non access areas taped off. I also thought you could not drink or eat on the grounds due to contaminating the tanks but notice burger vans plus noticed the childrens play area was not supervised.
The big question is are they contacting youtube and could you be banned on this.

Don't worry mate we got banned from our local aquatic shop in t wells just because we didn't spend any money apparently and only asked for help which is bull shut as we bought a entire pond setup which was OK for gold fish not koi so refused to buy anything big and the fat manager got angry as we weren't spending much money there any more too much snobbery in koi shops/shows but love watching people like you as learn so much more + you not miss selling products just to make a£ keep doing urgent vids
Whilst I do not agree with a Ban and There *should* have been a sign with *Rules* at the entry point. I have to admit that if you submerge a camera into the display pond water you could spread a contagion between the tanks.. but that is on the Show organisers for not realising that people who do not know any better are going to do it and not having signs that saying not to do it.
Also.. if it is NOT supposed to be accessible or is behind the scenes.. then it should have had barriers, Roped off, Blocked off or Signage if its not common access then it should have been blocked off. So the onus is on the Organisers not you. So..

I donot see how you can be band from shows in the future. For a situation that was not policed properly. You were not stop or integrated buy anyone that's their problem, not yours . And if then you are not allowed to take pic, then they just should leave their fish in the pond .how do they think more people will go if not for the free promotion .
When do they come with the cuffs. It is against the law to video anyone and post this online. Sorry to say that you can not video people at private shows or any shopping complex which means every person who films at a Koi show could be breaking the law. For example, many shopping centres, museums, art galleries, public attractions, churches, airports, show grounds etc are on private land and you would need the permission to take pictures in these places, otherwise, it could be considered trespassing.
Generally trespassing is a civil matter and so if you do not have permission to take photos the worst that will happen is the landowner will ask you to stop taking photos and to leave the property or ban you. It can also be against the law to video any person in the same places. You can also not make a recording which includes people and then sharing them online (or even posting live online) this is potentially illegal.
Although it is pretty unlikely that anyone will sue you for posting a video online - legally they have a right to forbid the recording.
A simple to be told you're not allowed to film in the certain areas is fine but to be banned is out of order not very happy

If the area was not secure to stop people accessing the said area then it’s not a bio secure area. If it’s not stated on a sign you can’t do this you can do that then how the heck are you to know you can’t. As for taking images of koi in vats, and sales tanks many people attend have done this and posted on TH-cam so why they singling you out. What about those taking the photos for the glossy mags etc. Right load of costia if you ask me shows how badly they set things up and you have shown a weakness in there bio security.Keep doing what your doing.

It seems to me that without people like Andy and others who give helpful advice and show a lot of us who cannot travel hundreds of miles to shows or are disabled what the shows are all about the shows would not be as popular as they are without such people and the videos they make and when it comes to banning someone for something so simple we should all stand up and boycott the next show in support in someone who has been doing good over the past years and replace these people who run these clubs and shows bringing them up to date and I would say more everyone should send a letter of support for Andy and others to the society.

Wow I think there's been a bit of an over reaction regarding the show. It was an informative video showing what was behind the scenes and you did nothing out of hand when filming. Maybe informing you that you need to get permission and to do so next time would have been more appropriate 👍

That is awful , what mortal sin did you commit and Which show did you go to and was it signposted ? Or aren’t you allowed to tel ?😂l , but I really don’t see how sticking a camera over a vat to film could be a biohazard unless of course you used a go pro underwater to film with ! There are always people hanging over the vats filming with phones etc and i have seen some of the great British public do far worse and wander behind the vats , I always enjoy your videos so I won’t stop watching

It was my first show and to be honest I wasn't impressed. It's like a bunch of people patting each other on the back and giving each other oversized trophies for bloating fish. I used to be a big snake breeder and went to shows all over the world and I was expecting much more. A load of giant sad looking fish so the owners can have a trophy, put me right off and reminds me of the Oscars. £10 entrance fee for the pleasure.

This looks and sounds like retaliation for inadvertently exposing their poor security and customer safety they had in place, i watched your previous video, which was entertaining and informative as usual, and then i read the comments and was angered by what i read, the abuse and threats of violence if you returned was inexcusable. Im certain there are members of the bkks which are angered by the reaction of the chairman and likely won't renew there membership
TBH i've never been to a show nor would i ever go, I'm against animal cruelty and I know a lot of people argue its not but have yet to see a case where a fish doesn't need treating during or after a show so in my book that's cruelty.
On a brighter note, it's refreshing to see it's not just the fish that are treated badly, but also the people who run these events don't seem to bothered about treating their customers the same way, i'd rather throw the tenner out of the window then support this kind of an event.

Im not a fan of koi shows, all the moving of fish and people there isnt good for fish health. The fact it was outside with hundreds of folks there "bio security" is a waste of time. Love my koi and wouldnt move them unless im forced to. I wont be funding their egotistical hard ons cause they can afford an expensive koi then fatten it up to win a trophy poor fish. And im certain said pompous prxxks wont have time to talk and teach novice koi keepers not that their info would be beneficial. Sorry Andy this makes me mad that theres people like you trying to display their hobby and learn, teach show others your tips, tricks and troubles and then theres koi societies causing you problems. What youre doing is way better than a poxy koi show where the fish are just trophy pets. Love watching your vids keep on doing what youre doing. Perhaps instead of doing a TH-cam video of this you could reach out to the Chair yourself and discuss it!
With regards to bio security signs, they were above every other vat 1.5m by 30cm advising about bio security.
I am sure if you believe more signs are required the BKKS would gratefully appreciate your help in sorting this and a donation towards the cost 👍
The same could be said for the chairman who chose to be so vile on social media instead of reaching out personally to explain and ask him if he could just warn others not to go behind the scenes. So unprofessional. I’d fire him! Very damaging to their reputation.

Overreaction much!!!! Surely make more sense to make you aware of the bio security issues , and maybe as a popular youtuber you could have educated the rest of us? Poor decision, if there was clear signage of what you can video and what you can’t then fair enough. However a quite word is more appropriate than a life time ban.
Shame and in my opinion doesn’t show the society in a very positive and welcoming community. Think again BKKS.
