when i feel down with carving, i came here and just staring at that spoon from the right part of the video, just inspires me to go forward, to clean my desk, to make order in stuff, to clear my mind, yes sir, your video make me think clear and focus. :)
Good to see you’ve got all your fingers. Every knife has it’s purpose. I’ve been carving apple wood branches into spoons over the last two weeks, and I’m wearing bandages...
Watching Jögge Sundqvist's grip sessions really made me think about how I was holding my hands safely while carving. I didn't think it would make so much of an impact but he really points out WHY you wouldn't want to hold the knife certain ways.
Hey Wade! Definitely agree! When I try to make spoon bowls super smooth I go straight to the 163- but definitely not a knife I go to for removing lots of material.
This was really helpful and your manner is pleasant. Thank you!
Glad this helped! Your welcome!

I have used my fair share of bandages, a little practice goes a long way- learning how to carve and learning how to carve safely are important!

Thank you!! I certainly appreciate this video.
You are welcome!!
I also taped my duel sided moras they are sharpened a little to far up towards the tang for me
Yes! It’s a great way to make them more comfortable!
Well after watching the video I can confirm you would be a good 162 salesman
Haha! What can I say! I believe in the mora 162! And I think it gets way too much criticism from people!
Seems like this 163 would be good at the finishing cuts after it dries. I have the 164, but I think you sold me on the 162.
