Good job with the video and the sharpening it helps allot. 👍 Greetings from Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan. P. S. In what kind of wood did you carve in too by trying the sharpness ?
Please,Is the steel on the Classic No2 harder than the Carbon steel blades on the more common models with the polymer handles? Is it the same hardness as the laminate carving knives? Thanks in advance
Yes, the steel in the polymer handle blades is the same. The carbon steel is harder than the laminated steel, and many people prefer that, as it can hold an edge better.
Thanks! Going to need it for our Mora 120 and 162 since I do feel they come a bit blunt directly out of the box m.th-cam.com/video/c23JjeOjtt0/w-d-xo.html
Tack för ett så bra intro hur man vässa knivar.. ❤🎉
Thank you for showing this excellent method. Your tools and work is very admirable.
That is the video i have been waiting for since i bought my first hook knife. Thank you so much
Resting the blade on a block of wood!
What a bloody good idea, I've watched several hook knife sharpening videos, and I haven't seen that before
Maybe that's what the useless point is for?
Demonstrated and filmed very well. Thank you.

Fantastic. Thanks for the education!
For one brief, glorious moment I thought Jogge was resting his knife on a piece of cheese.....
Haha, certainly looks like it!
1:46 the mystery of regrinded hook knife is solved Ladies and Gentlemen! The secondary bevel is knocked off, and it's one sided full flat grind now.
That is interesting. Hm. Min morfar sysslar också en del med hantverk. Själv är jag inte så van.
Vänligen Axel
Tackar!

Sad world we live in when you have to put a disclaimer at the beginning of a video of this nature.
