The gold side is slightly more elongated and voluminous. The black castor oil side is a little shinier. I like the gold side better. Can’t wait for this to drop in stores.

Jamaican black castor oil has more frizz, more definition on the gold. And no crunch always wins 😂. With the gold gel and the elongation it gives you by the time it shrinks the frizz level, volume and shape will be perfect by later days (as we saw in the day 5 video) Very pretty 😍
See I saw more fluff with gold & no frizz with tighter curls w/flaxseed castor gel.

From what l am seeing the both gels did very, very well but of course the Eco Gold is the winner for me because it's more elongated, fluffier, no crunch and to me the curls were a bit more defined!

If you’ve ever used diy flaxseed gel then you’d probably understand the gold side, softness, Elongation and fluffiness. I personally noticed the differences right away only because I’ve used regular gel and my diy flaxseed! Both results are amazing as you stated the liking will depends on each preference!! The results were as I suspected. The gold is heavier since it has shea and olive oil besides the jbco and flax seed so less shrinkage. Softness would come from the Shea (a creme). No creme in the Jacob/flaxseed. Both look great.

I use the black castor oil and flaxseed gel, unfortunately olive oil causes dry scab on my scalp so I can't try it, but your experiment was very interesting
Both sides look great to me. I do want to add that I've used the flaxseed gel with products that didn't make me flake. It's just hard to find the right match lol. I'm using it with Blueberry Bliss twist cream with good results.

The gold gel already looked better when wet! The black castor and flaxeed oil gel gives my hair no volume and hella shrinkage! Even tho it really defines my curls, but i think the gold gel will be my new favorite!

I've been natural for over 5 years and I have never ever used gel with no leave in. I have the JBCO and my hair came out way too soft with product underneath. I'm going to try this 🤞

I knew I should have gone to the hair show
I have a love-hate relationship with Eco Styler Gels. It sleeks my puffs and curls my hair BUT it leaves flakes. Especially when I attempt a wash and go. Even if I test it with the moisturizer before applying it 😥..
Simone Wood what I do when I sleep my hair back is put grease on top of the gel. So I gel my hair down, sleek it back and everything. But before I put my scarf on to completely lay down, I but a coat of blue magic grease on the top. The gel leaves my hair soft and super shinny and when you decide to take your hair down it comes out easy and not crunch or flakey. Hope that helps
