Ceesay Fofana twist outs, bantu knots, i kept something in my hair all the time. i never let it just go. & chy let me tell you, when bantu knots became "nubian knots" I was alllllll for it cause less work for me 😂 then eventually it started doing its own lil thing. just keep products in it & keep it moisturizers.

Sus! I HAVE GOT TO GET THE GEL. I already know this gone be bomb. My hair is 4 a/b but it's coarse, so I use black castor oil and my curls stay silky and moisturized with that only so I know it's only right I treat me hair to this
My hair shrink up to damn much for any product with water in it so I'll just wear my hair curly when it gets longer cause my curl pattern to bomb to just go to waste 😂

Try dry gelling....Wash and condition your hair, apply your moisturizer/leave in and sealant. Then allow your hair to dry. Completely dry or atleast 90%.....In small sections, apply your favorite gel from root to tip...Dry gelling is great because the hold of the gel isn't being diluted with water thats in freshly washed hair.The little bit of water in gel is what will activate your curls..The thickness of eco styler gives that weight for decreased shrinkage...HTHs :-)

I don't think gel and cantu leave in conditioner mix well together on my hair. Idk why but when I put them both in my hair I get this white crummy residue. It's weird.

The cantu is the problem, I used to use it until i started getting huge white crumbs in my hair. Idk if i wanna use it again after that now..
ceeoreo cantu have always only played well with its own products... it never plays well with other products to me that's why I had to stop using cantu products...I have 4c hair.
I agree!! that cantu did not work with my other products either especially any Ecco gel.
I had that too... You'll have to use less cantu than gel on your hair so you don't have the crumbs... Also put the cantu on first and wait a couple mins for it to get a bit dry then put gel..it helped me.

baby hair and edges are not at all the same thing. baby hair is very fine hair that can grow in the front of back of your hair. edges are usually the same texture as the rest of your hair, just a bit shorter.

Felicia I used to get annoyed with that but I realized everybody can't and isn't willing to do what others do. I rock wash and go's as well and I am 4b/c. I rock wash and go's without gel and yes it looks like a fro but how else should it look.Yes it shrinks but that's what it's supposed to do.(If the hair is moisturized.) Some people see a different curl pattern and envy and expect their wash and go to be like it.
Jysika Hill it's the same length as the youtuber "Chazzzisawesome". It shrinks after day 1, yes, but the curls are still very much there until day 5 or 6. I don't use gel on my hair though, just on my edges when it's necessary. It dries your hair out so much. I use miss jess coily custard and it's moisturizing and works well
Felicia Oh okay. Just from all these TH-cam videos I associate a wash n go with using gel or some other hair product to define your curls after a wash. I tried and my "curls" weren't any different. I didn't expect my hair to look like I put in a roller set but I thought my curls would clump or something lol I don't even think my hair has a pattern so I stopped trying and so now I just pick out what I have and twist overnight to make it curly. Even though it's still trash but it's something 😭

What I like to do is on every section I do I put those big hair clips on the ends of each section that helps with my shrinkage alottt
the gel helps to get rid of some of the shrinkage!
