Sisssss, can you do a review on the auntie jackie ice jelly. I swear this stuff is >>>> I used it w. the shea moisture JBCO leave in and the olive eco. I just use the eco on the roots. I love this and its $7-8 depending on the beauty supply. Im in love. I FINALLY found a gel that gives HOLD but soft/moisture AND is affordable.

I don't like the gold gel that much. My results end up like your results. However, in my honest opinion, nothing beats the Olive Oil (green) gel. The Castor Oil is good as well, but I get max definition with Olive Oil. Please consider a comparison between the Castor Oil and Olive Oil.

My favorite Eco is the olive oil one. They changed the formula for the better too.

@@DaFaBBMiSs3s Better(the new one actually had a sticker to let you know about the improvements but now it doesn't I guess because they continued using the new formula). They heard everyone cancelling it because of some ingredients and the symptoms people were having. I didn't see the problem until I tried the new formula. I ran out of the new one and switched to the old one I had under my sink BUT it made my scalp itch like crazy almost immediately even though I just washed it. So, I bought the new formula again and rewashed my hair and I had no reaction.
@@7EmpathicBeauty wow that's insane I just got mine from target on friday. I hope i like it so far the eco doesn't give me much hold as far as slick back styles and i wasn't impressed for my wash n go so i am hoping for the best.
@@DaFaBBMiSs3s Yeah, all the others don't hold my frizzies down when I slick it back (I have shorter hairs growing back from braid tension and the won't stay down after the 3rd day) so, I stick with the olive. I hope it all works out for you!

I’ve never tried the gold but the flaxseed and castor oil gives a soft hold…I love my wash and go super defined and with a cast…I’m an olive and argan oil ecostyler fan! Love the series!

I've been thinking about repurchasing the ECO Black Castor Gel as I haven't used it in over a year and it was my go to weekly wash-n-go gel back when it first came out (and replaced my WetLine Xtreme Gel). I did buy that ECO Gold (once the price dropped) and it did nothing for my hair, after that one failed use, I never used it again.
I was up on WetLine Xtreme Gel quite a few years ago while everyone was all about the various EcoStyler gels. It was the only gel I used, bomb wash-n-gos year round. But after not using it for quite a while, I recently tried it and the results were NOT GOOD! I need to remember what leave in I use to pair with it.

Eco argan is bae. I can’t find wetline in store. I can find eco though. I use eco argan for roller sets twists and sleek pony’s. I got wetline offline I like it but eco argan is still bae.

I purchased my wetline gel on Target's website for $2.99 and had it ship to store for free. You can try that if your local store doesn't have it.
I bought wetline at Walmart. I only see the clear one though.

I like your honesty! But for me I don't really like the Eco Castor Oil and Flaxseed Gel because it doesn't define my curls the way l like it! I get frizz between the curls!The Gel just sit on top of my hair! I am going to give it another chance though by using warm water this time and see if it makes a difference! It gives my hair sheen though! I love the Eco Gold Gel because l get tons of definition, sheen and my hair feels moisturized! It is a soft hold, l get 3 days max with it and the other days l wear my hair in a Bun or a Puff! I am planning to use the Gold Gel with a Mousse to see if l can get more days out of it!
that eco gold side is looking a lil suspect lol, way to frizzy. that JBCO side actually looks good, but that JBCO gel ain't good to slick down no hair AT ALL. lol but i have gotten a poppin wash in go from it
I thought I was the only one. I tried to lay my edges with the JBCO and I feel like my hair was laughing at me. Wash and go only, olive version for the slick down.

I just found your channel mainly because I was looking for a cheaper gel to switch to and saw you have tons of reviews in that area. I’m loving this coming back to old products segment! Not many people do that. I also love it because you put the products head to head and I can see the results. Do you use any kind of leave in or styler prior to the gel?

The flaxseed and black castor oil is my second favorite eco (It's a close second to argon oil one) the throw it all in the pot ECO not only fizzes but flakes on my hair so I am like the lady in the clip! 😂😂😂
The "gold" one never lived up to the hype when it first came out. My hair was just "meh". Once I use it up on my daughter's hair, I won't repurchase.

I honestly like both sides I dont like the JBCO one I use the gold for my wash n gos to add a bit of moisture & shine....I think you should visit the camille rose honey leave-in I tried that cause of your vid on it and its a staple for me now

Eco Styler gels just don't work on my 3A/3B hair. The Wetline gel does great.
My favorite eco gel is the flaxseed gel ( black top) I only use that one. Wet line is drying to me. 🤷🏾♀️
I have the JBCO & flaxseed ECO gel, it's pretty good but I prefer the argan oil one. Have you tried the argan oil? I don't think have seen it on your channel.

Have you ever tried the Eco Style Krystal? I like the two that you used (a lot), but I just recently started using the Krystal one and it defines my curls big time! The only issue I have with it, is that it makes my hair super crunchy like lol. However, my curls have lasted daaaays.
dollar general..family dollar and orher stores may be cheaper on some products...amazon..ebay...and other websites for those who need to save and those who are frugal....maybe use a cheaper gel ($2 or less) combined with these eco, wetline etc hair gels to stretch the product by layering them on one over the other in whichever order you see works best and makes your hair behave. im sure people already know about this but some mat come across this conment and have an aha! moment or whatever.
also detanglers like suave kids and other kids/regular detanglers may help with savings. i just started back wetting my hair with suave kids detangler and using carefree curl activator in the gold and red bottle just for moisturizing on the go (make the product stretch further by applying some the rubbing it through the hair all over and re-applying where needed and hair does not need to be drenched and dripping); and sometimes i partially wet my hair where it needs to be a little quenched here and there (especially the harder edges ( and remember to always rinse old products from of edges) thoroughly out carefully at the most dry parts of my hair...not to soak in too much water but just as needed....pat dry.. then put in a puff or pony on my way to work. be careful about the weather changes and having too much cold air or being in a cold environment.

The olive oil gel holds very well, but fake too much
I may try me some because I heard that changed the formula and Eco styler I went on their website and they said it was changing the formula on some of the gels I love your hair as always it came out beautiful

I knew before you applied it that you weren’t going to like the gold side 😂 I have been using it lately to get the 2-3 day hair look on the 1st day but it doesn’t last. The black castor oil is still bae and the protein Eco.

Nice blast from the past...the Gold Eco made me really sick....I had to stop using it. I switched to all natural (90%+ natural) products... nice out come though missy!😉

@@daph1212 hi👋.... I use Uncle Funkys Daughter whole line. I also use Maui Moisture for moisturizing. I am 98% grey and find my hair dries out fast. I also have thin soft hair so heavy chemicals and gels that harden my hair breaks it. I've been loving my results with this line. Also give The Mane Choice, or Mielle a try...it has no petroleum, parabens, sulfates or formaldehyde in it. A lot of the products geared for black hair care have very harmful chemicals in them....some of us can handle it... my body rejects them.

I haven't slapped gel of any kind in my head in several months. First time this year I know was this morning and how coincidental is it that it was the gold eco? My hair is stretched pulled back and banded so it's working for that. I like the idea of re-reviews Do I Still Like It.

I love the series idea. I've always been natural, never had a relaxer. But I was always wearing my hair in a ponytail or flat ironed. I just started wearing my curls. So I think for me it would be helpful to see different things that I could try on my hair.

I have used both gels but never with heat. I always air dry and the gold is better for me. I also use a leave in conditioner with both.

That’s such a drastic difference from the first time you used the gold gel! That one still stands as my favorite even though I pull out my black castor and flaxseed when it’s raining or excessively humid. I like this series concept!
