Hi I'm from Pennsylvania I have a 30 gardens at memorial Park in New Kensington PA and zone 6 I think it's going to be a zone 7 pretty soon by how warm it's starting to get and yeah I've been doing 1820 years now I just wanted to p my phone keeps going off sorry about that but yeah I like watching your flowers okay talk to you later I have quite a few days too so I'll talk to you later

I love your garden and your day Lily's, I just bought some mixed colored day Lily roots from Walmart in a bag, I can't wait to see the colors they turn out to be. 🙂 I have a question, I'm very curious after watching your video what the random "buzzing" sound is in the background? It's an interesting coincidence because Just after watching your video I literally started hearing 2 house's in my neighborhood have that same buzzing sound somewhere on their house and I never heard it before. 🤔

No but you can do some in the spring.
I have rabbits damage in my flower garden I hope thi s product can be of help it's called Repels All it's an animal repellant granules it works for me I bought from Cisco in a 6lbs bag for 20.00.All it does is causes a mild irritation to animal's nasal passages safe to use around people and pet safe

Wow that’s a problem I haven’t encountered. I have Japanese beetles on mine but they are not ruining the buds. If I figure it out I’ll post something on my Instagram.

Insects & Other Pests
Flower Thrips (Frankliniella tritici): Flower thrips and various other thrips species are serious pests of daylilies. Thrips are slender, dark-colored insects with fringed wings. Adults are less than 1/16-inch in length. To see these small, fast-moving pests, use a 10x magnifying lens. Thrips are typically found on leaves and between flower petals. Both adults and nymphs (immature insect stage resembling the adult, but smaller) feed by scraping surface cells to suck plant sap. When they feed on flower buds, the flower may die without opening. With a light infestation, their feeding causes leaves to have silvery speckles or streaks. With severe infestations, leaves and flowers are stunted and distorted and may turn brown and die.

Yes definitely or you can wait till fall and just cut the entire clump back. I like to cut the scapes and deadhead throughout the season and I do try to get to pulling the dead foliage.

@@lucyleonard5963 insecticidal soap or spinosad sprays are recommended. Spinosad is a foliar systemic insecticide that can penetrate the unopened flowers to give good thrips control. Always spray in the evening to lessen the spray impact on pollinating insects. As with any pesticide, read and follow all label directions and precautions.
Robin thanks again can I buy at Lowe's store by the way I love watching your videos and you have a very huge and beautiful garden .I m gardening in zone 6 or 7 in Michigan I have quite a large garden mostly perennial and I add annuals for colour in summer I would like to have more shrubs and trees that will be my plan down the road
