Saving a Tiger Salamander from crazed Wood Frogs!

We spent a spring afternoon looking for Tiger Salamanders and Wood Frogs in central Alberta! While we searched, we came across a Tiger Salamander that had been swarmed by Wood Frogs intent on finding a mate. We saved the salamander (for now at least)!

I'm going to say there is a real healthy population of wood frogs in that area. lol Nice save for that huge tiger. Big one. Interesting facts to go along with everything in the video, too!

Ya once the tadpoles venture onto land, you can't go 2 steps without seeing one for a few weeks. Thanks for checking it out!
