This was something that the 16-bit soundtrack in the Sonic 2 SMS remake did that made me mad. It sounded just like the 8-bit version with Genesis instruments, and nothing more. It sounded so… bland. But this actually made the compositions sound 16-bit instead of just changing the instruments.
This one is awesome! Maybe you could make full versions of these tracks :D I really like how you used the 16-bit version instruments in Labyrinth and how you mixed Scrap Brain and Sky Base
Honestly, i know i am 3 years later but i absolutely love how you implemented the Genesis renditions of Labyrinth and Scrap Base as support jingles of their respective songs
Really awesome job but just some honest raw feedback (to make it better) - The transition from the ending theme to GHZ sounded jarring, I'd stick with the transition the song naturally has - Jungle Zone things start to get a bit too abstract for my taste, the pitch shift in the transition is jarring - Mixing Scrap Brain MD with MS/GG didn't work especially as they were off-key - Sky Base Zone is missing from the medley - The ending is great but the satisfying ending seems a little cut short compared to the original But overall very good work!

I think the melody of Scrap Brain is in the correct key, though the accompaniment is most definitely not, making the whole section sound off
