When my dad passed away, my mother heard this song and connected it with his passing. It is a song about a woman asking the moon to help her find her true love and tell him to please return to her. My parents eloped at 16 years of age and were together 61 years. I would play this song for her and she would cry for him. I would cry with her. She passed away last year and now I play it for myself and think of them and cry.
Wow. What a sad and yet beautiful story. Your parents were blessed to have had each other and you were blessed to have parents that loved each other that way. May they RIP.
She dedicates this song to our loved ones in heaven in her concerts. She has us turn on our lights on our phone so they can see us from heaven. I lost my dad to covid and I cried 😢

Ana Gabriel has been making me stop and listen ever since 1990, which is when I discovered her, personally. She connects with me every time. Her songs often deal with heartache and sadness, and that emotive quality in her voice just conveys the messages so incredibly well. She literally sounds like she's crying when she sings. Ana is a special, special singer. I adore her. She is easily, hands down, my favorite female Latin artist. My favorite make Latin artists are Luis Miguel, Marc Anthony, and Jose Feliciano.

The actual storyline was that they wanted to make a song together but there was no schedule for both yet therefore they started to make their own version of the song and lucky enough they both concentrate on the moon as a subject to direct the song. But this very moment one call to the other on the phone and realized how connected were both already on this project. Awesome story
