The Instant Transmission Kamehameha is the best scene and the final part that Kakarot cutout. Such an amazing thing. Highly recommended Hellsing Ultimate Abridged after this. It's still TFS and funny as hell.

@@Ninlox with Frieza’s DNA, imagine if he went through the same training Frieza went through in Super/Resurrection F. He’d probably be stronger than Jiren at that point, or at least after attaining his perfect form afterwards, then he’d probably be able to take on Beerus.
In a way, I'm kind of glad Kakarot cut some of these big moments so Jack could react to them here and see what the game missed out on. Because the Cell Saga got done so dirty in that game

Until this point, TFS was mostly doing an episode a month, then episode 60 took an entire year to be released. This would later be referenced in DBZ Kai abridged 3.5 because for the fans, it almost felt like an eternity. Also, when episode 60 finally dropped and the series reached it's conclusion, it was one of the biggest moments on TH-cam that year. Finally, I need to mention that there's these two songs coming up and both are absolutely incredible performances.

When Gohan said that weird sounding thing when he told goku to back up he said Back the HFIL up. Which is a reference to the actual HFIL that goku was in during season one with the bodybuilders. It stands for Home for Infinite Losers. Basically it was a nice way for Gohan to say back the Hell up without actually saying it
He should watch their Dragonball HFIL series after this, it's super fun and Cell is the main character

Also the big deal about the Kamehameha from upside is that it would destroy the planet, they need to fire it horizontally at best. That's why everyone was freaking out. Kinda like Vegeta's final flash.
And the instant transmission, in the original, was just taught to him when he was in another planet recovering from the Frieza fight.

The fact that Cell was so angry he calls Goku as Kakarot is just precious
In reality, this episode revealed that not only was Gohan the only one able to keep up with the fight, but he thought Goku and Cell were holding back in their fight, because he thought they were stronger compared to him. The reveal of the fact that Gohan is now stronger than even Goku was insane at the time, and all the characters, including Piccolo reacting to the fact that Gohan was that strong was so damn cool at the time. Of course for comedic effect, they did the fast cut to him getting punched, but in the show and manga, it's implied if Gohan actually wanted to fight, and put his heart into it, he would've been able to beat Cell even without Super Saiyan 2. Of course, there is a point where Cell powers up in response to Super Saiyan 2, but we can't tell how big of a power up it is in comparison, because he gets slapped either way. But it's damn near confirmed that Gohan could've beaten Cell at the level he and Goku were fighting at relatively easily. Cell even powers up when Gohan steps in, commenting that Goku may not be lying about Gohan being the strongest fighter.
Cell even gets a power boost after having eaten the senzu bean.
Maybe the reason Goku gives it to him is because he wants to guarantee that Gohan reaches the level beyond super Saiyan. Because if Gohan fought cell at the condition Goku left him, of even at the level he was when they started fighting, Gohan would have not pushed himself to the limit

if there was honestly a down side of the abridged series is how some characters are portrayed in the eyes of people who has never seen dragon ball .

7:50 Piccolo can't regenerate if he sustains a head injury. This sequence makes no sense until Cell's explanation at the end. Which begs the question: Couldn't Cell regenerate even if he didn't have Piccolo's DNA?
I always thought part of it was the combination of Freeza and Piccolo's genetics. Piccolo can fully regenerate from any injury that doesn't kill him, and Freeza can survive incredible trauma (including having part of his head blown off, if you look at where the cybernetics are).
Admittedly, even that explanation isn't enough to explain what happens next episode.
I think the reason cell can regenerate from almost nothing is because of frieza cells. On namek Frieza survives with literally the entire bottom part of his body gone, so I think Frieza can survive with most of his body gone, and if you combine that with Piccolo's regeneration, you get a deadly combo.

1- Mr. Satan is actually a big guy, pretty built too! In Z anyway, he let himself go starting in Buu now that he's the world champ AND saviour. So he got all those muns in from sponsors.
2- Cell destroyed the ring after noticing how constrained the fight was getting, and to have both him and Goku go all out without worry of a ring out or a flimsy loss.
3- The hate boner triangle refers to Tienshinhan, Vegeta, and Cell hating on eachother left and right.

8:17 That's the DBZ Abridged joke for how he learned it. Really, the aliens just taught it to him normally. Also, Cell said "I didn't ask to be born, dads!" Plural, not singular. He wasn't talking to Gohan, he was talking to everyone there. Because he was made from all their DNA, thus they are all sort of his fathers.
8:53 This was a subtle reference to a joke they've hinted at a bit with Mr. Satan, that he was previously just some homeless guy. At the end of season 2, Nappa says he "found" a great new actor ("name's Mark Satan, need to workshop that first name.... thinking Hercule"), then when he shows up at the Cell Games, Cell responds to his trash talk with "Did they find you in the subway? Were you homeless? Did you get your start in bum fights?" and Mr. Satan responds with "This is getting oddly personal."

They don’t show it here, but Goku always knew that Gohan had the power to defeat Cell, ever since they came out of the Time Chamber. In the show, they gave us a flashback of Goku and Gohan’s training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. After their training match, Gohan was show almost turning Super Saiyan 2, which shocked Goku. It was at that moment, Goku knew that Gohan had surpassed the Super Saiyan barrier, and had the power to defeat Cell.
The reason why Goku fought Cell first, was because he wanted Gohan to study his moves, before he fought against him.

They had still intended to do Majin Buu right up through episode 60. In fact, the end of episode 60 originally had a teaser card for season 4 of DBZA, which was later removed after they decided to stop. You can still see it in some of the oldest reaction videos. Unfortunately, a series of unfortunate events took place while they were trying to make the Bojack movie that caused them to decide to stop the series. Sadly, there were a few cues planted that were likely intended to be running jokes for season 4, mostly involving things with Mr. Satan.

I don't have a problem with where DBZA ended. Besides the litany of copyright strikes, attempted/successful, removed/reinstated/removed takedowns and eventual demonetization, Kaiser and Lani didn't want to go further with the series if they weren't gonna have passion for it or be able to write it as well, and be able to have it as a source of income. That's why it doesn't say "Non-Profit Fan-Based Parody" later episodes.
Besides, even in the original DBZ, after the Frieza saga wasn't a satisfying conclusion, the series was supposed to end after the Cell Saga, so I think it's fine where it ended.
I don’t know where people keep reading that but toriyama has never officially stated the Saiyan saga, the Namek saga or any of the others to be the end.
Goku throwing bean to Cell looks like stupid thing without context. But in anime, he proclaimed to Cell that not only Gohan is strong enough to beat Cell, but gave him bean, pretty much saying "You will need this to keep the fight fair". This would be nice throwing shade moment if Gohan could bring out his power immediately.
Yeah, Goku is such an unexpected asshole at times in the original anime. Its actually quite hilarious because he grew up without a filter and everyone suffers for it XD

Solar flare can be used by anyone so long as they know how to do it, Goku’s done it against Great Ape Vegeta to buy time while he charges the spirit bomb as an example.
Mr. Satan is voiced by Antfish, who also did Dodoria and I could be wrong but I believe Captain Ginyu. He also does DIO in the TFS series in x amount of minutes for the JoJo parts DIO is in, which is the same DIO voice he did for his original JoJo abridged series...which is really just Tim Curry.

Long Story Short... Piccolo kinda can do that... He was turned to stone, shattered into a hundred pieces, then turned back to meat long enough to scar Trunks for life slightly off screen, then he came back on screen whole.

just want to point out the moment Cell touched the ground he lost the cell games because he touched the ground first. just like what happened when goku and tien fought in db the first time. So goku has technically won by ring out.
There’s also Trunks saying “getting dad flashbacks here”, by that he’s referencing vegeta’s final flash, since at that moment he thought Vegeta was gonna blow up the planet

TFS Mr. Satan is Anthony "Antfish" Sardinha, I believe he also played Dodoria and Ginyu... and outside of TFS he created "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Abridged" and appeared alongside Jennifer Hale, Andrea Baker and Sailor Mars' dub VA Katie Griffin in an episode or two of the hit Anime-esque cartoon "Totally Spies" (as Sardinha has dual citizenship of Canada and America).

I love how Cell goes from a huge blatant pervert making everything sexual to Semi-Cell who uses sexual innuendo and then P. Cell who is poetic with his words as he flirts with Goku passionately.
cell is able to regenerate from such a destroyed stage because he has freeza's DNA as well as piccolo's. Freeza's DNA allows him to live with so much of his body destroyed and piccolo's allows him to regenerate from that stage, while Goku's allows him to get stronger after those loses.
The audience guy is ironically a member of TFS that HATED the abridged series before joining.

After you finish DBZA there's actually a team that did the Bojack movie. It's lower quality tbh, but some of the jokes are soooooo good. After seeing your sense of humor watching this, I think you'd get a kick out of it.
