Thanks so much, Barbara 😃 I hadn’t seen/heard of a candy cane holder before your comment. Clearly I’ve been living under a rock because I just did a google image search - so many possibilities! Anything to add a cute finishing touch to a little gift appeals to me. I saw a cardboard one that looked like a snowman, something like that would be really easy to crochet, it’s just circles - or a little penguin would be adorable… or a koala… or just little monster (monsters are terribly christmassy… and very easy to crochet 😉).
