      Hi,
First of all good job as you have decided that you will be going ahead with the GMAT exam.
      Follow the below Flow:
      - Understand the exam Structure, fee and schedule
      - Plan on when you want to take admission since the GMAT exam is valid for 5 years
      - GMAT prep usually takes 4-5 months and round 1 of admissions is mostly in August.
      - Most of the time for abroad universities you will need IELTS & TOEFL exams as well
      - Check this video to plan your study plan: th-cam.com/video/Jux6PaOcSiM/w-d-xo.html
As you go through the flow you will understand many new things. Try to google each one and check videos on them. That will clear out a lot of confusion.
Feel free to write to me incase of questions.
      All the very best !!!

GMAT doesn't check the % you scored in 12th, as GMAT is just an exam required to take admission in Management courses around the world.

      Hi,
Answering your questions one by one:
-Could you please advise how we can prepare for it?
Ans: Every person has a different way of preparing. However, I would advise you to plan your study well.
Check this video for more info: th-cam.com/video/Jux6PaOcSiM/w-d-xo.html
-Do we need to go to any preparatory institutions or is it possible to prepare from home by collecting the materials.?
Ans: This depends on your comfort level with mathematics and English, if you feel your concepts are not clear and you need external help, in that case, I would advise taking up classes. There are many that you can check in the market. For self-study, you will need extreme dedication and hard work
-If so what materials do we need to prepare for gmat?
Ans: If you take up classes, they will provide you with material. No material is bad, all that is important is how you use it. Buy the GMAT Official guide for practice questions, that is the best.
For more info refer to this video: th-cam.com/video/jRMsEJOfC1o/w-d-xo.html

      Hi,
I feel that GMAT prep takes 4 to 6 months and requires serious studies. You can plan to do it while studying for your Bcom itself or later. The GMAT score is valid for 5 years so use that to your advantage.
I personally studied everything by myself so not sure if classes will help. But for sure you can refer to TH-cam Classes.
Start your preparation by first solving problems, once you come across something you do not understand, refer to the concepts and return to solving.

i would advice you to take the language tests first and then start with GMAT. classes for GMAT are expensive and the minimum fees for two month worth course is Rs.39000. so if there's a financial constraint, unfortunately you'll have to help yourself with the online material that's available. i would warm you beforehand that if you're not from a math academic background, it's for the best to seek foundation classes as quant can be difficult. best of luck with your prep!

      Hi Deepti,
I feel since this is your first video on GMAT, you are going through a lot of questions. It's totally natural and ok. Don't worry about it. Many people go through these questions.
Answering all your questions one by one.
1)You mentioned that we have to send the scores within 48 hours, so do I do my other language courses before GMAT?
      - I am not sure how long are your language exam scores valid but the GMAT score is valid for 5 years. I would suggest, planning on your institutions first. Study for the GMAT and check your scores in the mock exams. Clear the GMAT exam. Apply to the colleges you want. Once you send the score to the college, it remains with them for 5 years. Apply whenever you want but ideally in the FIRST round of admissions, after clearing your language exams.
      2) do you recommend I take TH-cam lessons for GMAT or proper coaching?
-TH-cam is great for initial motivation, briefing, information and quick concepts, but a proper study plan using proper material is very important. Proper coaching is something you will have to take a call on, but I would suggest if you have good self-discipline and control, self-study is more than enough.
If you need help in Quant basics I would suggest taking short courses to clear out your concepts and basics.
Hope I was able to answer your questions.

MBA as a course works much better if you have work experience.

Question Review is like marking the question so that you can come back to it later.
You can mark as many questions as you like. However only 3 can be edited per section.
Also once you answer all the questions and press review that is the time you can review your questions, not any time earlier.

I would say first would be to understand the sections of the GMAT and their Syllabus. After that you can plan on buying the Official Guide by GMAT as it has all authentic GMAT questions.
Keep researching about GMAT and keep Practicing. That is how you will get ahead of the curve.

      Hi,
Yes !!! You can apply for IIM's or ISB through GMAT Focus Addition.
Your prep will have to be designed based on you. Go through the test taker's testimony and decide that for yourself.
Many people take 2 months whereas many people take 6 months to clear GMAT with a score of 700+.
The choice is yours on how you want to attack the test.

I want to pursue my MBA from business schools abroad, can you tell me how I can build my profile and if any of my working experience would be beneficial for the same. How many years of experience is needed and if I crack gmat without any experience would I be accepted to any B-schools or not.
    Thankyou for your time.

      Hi,
Answering your questions One by one:
      1) how I can build my profile and if any of my working experience would be beneficial for the same?
Ans: 5 years of Work experience is mandatory for an MBA abroad
      2) How many years of experience is needed?
Ans: 5 years is what I would say hits the sweet spot.
      3) If I crack Gmat without any experience would I be accepted to any B-schools or not?
Ans: Without experience, you can choose courses such as a Masters in Management. For more info, check this video: th-cam.com/video/kAw3BwvM3Ps/w-d-xo.html
Hope I am able to answer your questions.

      Hi,
Answering all questions one by one !!!
-So if your exam didn't go well and you have made up your mind that you will be answering again, I would suggest not sending your scores at all.
-Once you re-answer the GMAT, you can send your scores to the same schools or not. (5 schools you can send your score complimentary, more than that you need to pay extra.)
-The gap between your GMAT exams needs to be at least 16 days. and you can answer the GMAT 5 times in 1 calendar year and 8 times in your entire lifetime.
Hope I was able to help you out.
      All the very best !!!

    I have a doubt
Like on internet every college is showing cutoff on the basis of old GMAT
But a 700 in old version and a 700 in focus edition is different thing isn't it?
In old edition we get 700 at 90 percentile
But in focus edition we get 705 at 98.5 percentile
So cutt offs will be different for both right?

      Hi Prateek,
Yes !!! You are absolutely right. The scoring pattern has changed quite a lot. Also the new data on scoring pattern with respect to college scores is not available and present in common knowledge.
Post September, this data can be available.
Hope this helps you out. All the very best !!!
