Excellent video. I cleaned up my seat dropper and got it working correctly on the the first attempt.

Tip (ref. 1:56): if that actuator doesn't depress (i.e. the push rod to the valve has seized up), the unit needs to go for repair so don't waste any more time with it (and you could damage the lever messing about).

after watching and listening carefully to the bit about how delicate the actuator lever is, I managed to break it straight away while trying to be careful! I think excessive corrosion may have played a part. It actually still works though :-S - so the bit that snapped off wasn't super critical it seems. I'll still order a new actuator lever from universal...
My post now goes up and down super smoothly. However the original problem I had of it following me back up when trying to lower it still exists. I think there must be an issue inside the cartridge...

where do you get that clamp you use on the pushrod when you're removing the actuator?

I'd like to know this too. Couldn't find anything similar with Google.

Can the LEV DX external cable post be converted to an Integra? I see that there is an internal cable routed from external cable actuator to the lower actuator. Can you buy a kit or parts to convert it?

You know what's strange? My dealer can't get any of these parts, even trail labs is out 6 months for basic maintenance parts. It's been a hassle to find basic parts for ks dropper parts now.

I have a brand new LEV DX which I installed on my bike. It worked great the first day. The second day the trigger felt very hard to push down, then it began working, yet not as responsive as the first day. On the third day, the trigger wouldn't budge. After watching this video, I pulled the LEV off of my bike and removed the bottom cap. The actuator button (rod) will not budge and cannot be pushed in. In this video, it is easily pushed in with the thumb. Mine feels completely solid. I made sure the rod is properly aligned and oriented and still, no movement. Please help.

Do you need to release all the air pressure before starting?

Do I have to let the air out of the post before doing this maintenance?

I don't think so...I just extend mine so it easier to hold.

I have a question I bought tvo LEV 272 post one 100mm another 65mm version. Nice posts wor fine look fine everything is nice. But 100 version on my wifes bike dont come up fast enough, and instead of valve under seat rail clamp the is a aluminium plug round without key hole. What should I do?

This is a good video and following this procedure every few months (as per the KS recommendations) will keep the post operating properly. To speed the process up, I just hand tighten the parts so I don't need to mess around with the tools he uses (and only need a hex key if I need to remove the pulley).

Bought a KS Lev 27.2. What a terrible addition to my bike. The factory set return rate is totally unacceptable for XC use. I’m out of the saddle for an extra 3 pedal strokes waiting for it to go up compared to any other dropper. If the weather is cool it’s even worse. It’s so slow that the audible click it should make at the top of return doesn’t happen so it’s guesswork as to whether the saddles has gone back up anyway. But I bought it in Australia so I’m screwed.
