I’ve explored so many out of bounds areas doing this. It’s one of my favorite things to do in the game. Also, I’m pretty sure only the carnage shotgun allows you to do the triple jump.
I'm on my fifth playthrough since I picked up Cyberpunk in January 2023 ( Patch 1.6) I don't want to play anything else, it's just so damn good, the whole city just has this vibe, the freedom to explore, the challenge of the hardest difficulty. To top it off Phantom Liberty is an amazing addition. This game may have stumbled out the gates but CDPR corrected the trajectory to make this the greatest game/ experience one could ask for. GGoaT
Definitely! They should have never released the game unfinished, and they should have never released it on the previous gen of consoles. On PC, the game was ok since patch 1.1 when visual bugs are considered (if your GPU drivers were up to date), but it definitely wasn't as finished as it is now.
Yeah, it's definitely one of my all-time favorite games and I've already spent more time playing Cyberpunk 2077 than I have all the Elder Scrolls games combined. There's just something about this game that simply makes it feel alive and the city itself actually feels like a living breathing city. It's a shame that we will likely never get a game like this again as all the good devs have apparently left CDPR already so their new 'Orion' NC might look pretty but may be very much lacking in depth and substance (and will likely be full of forced DEI nonsense; even though the original already had it naturally and it struck the perfect balance).
Theres also a tunnel that leads back to the other side of the wall. Its completelly blocked on one side put only partially on the other side so you can squeeze in using a bike. Nomads use these tunnels to travel unnoticed in the lore so i wonder if there was some cut content mission that would let you use this tunnel
There was a space in which you went down to certain channels with water in the IND, if you dived underwater, you went under the invisible walls and crossed that limitation. I don't know if it still exists. but anyway, there was nothing really interesting on that side.
This is the one thing about this game that I wasn't a fan of. If you play the Nomad path, then you actually start outside of the city. So it is developed out there. At least for a little ways. So there shouldn't be a reason why you can't go back. If you don't have a wanted level, the police shouldn't be attacking you. The area past the checkpoint is even still on the map! I don't understand why CD Projekt Red decided to make it inaccessible after the opening Nomad scene. I get it. There isn't anything there to do after you get to Night City, but it would still be nice to have that open exploration.
Simple story writing would have fixed that. Think back on how they explained why you couldn't leave the city in GTA 4, terrorists bomb scare and the bridges got locked down. You see that in a few places where it's just completely unexplained why there's no physical access altogether, like Night City Prison (no visitors center, I mean), and I think a few non-Arasaka corporate owned areas. They've done a lot to go back and polish this turd, but there's only so much you can do with unfinished game elements post-release.
You can get back to the other side by using the tunnel used in the V and Panam ending where they sit on top of the Militech Basilisk. There’s videos on how to do that.
So after seeing this I went out there and it’s amazing how much stuff there is in this game that they had to cut out. They still have a lot of the map logic setup out there and you can clearly tell they had more plans for the area.
When the game first released, I used mods to get out of bounds. There's a rectangular zone on the outside of the border checkpoint that's instant death; doesn't even have anything to do with the machine guns. So long as you stay out of that zone, you can explore the outskirts all the way until the edge of the map. This includes the north of the map and the water to the south.
You can actually get to several locations like the NUSA hospital, the mediation braindances etc. Can't say the exact locations since when i explored for big while while smoking a fattie but the NUSA hospital is somewhere up north along the coast. Highly recommend using the demiurge truck because of the weird terrain every now and then
I just tried this and circled (or squared in this case) the whole map. I only found a few weird things, being: washington DC (small section), a pixelated forest in the sky, and an elevated desereted roadway that looks like runway for a plane but just about 10 meters across.
As a nomad I can tell you with confidence that the old saying "Us decent folk don't take kindly to strangers 'round here" pretty much sums up everything beyond the checkpoint.
There’s a way more fun way to go outside the map by jumping over the ravine out past Rocky Ridge. Just north of the jump ramp, use a motorcycle and double jump off of it, then climb the ravine wall and continue down the road.
there is another way, go to the broken bridge a the end of the long road in the desert, take the fastest care you have and drive up the ramp. You will end up right under the other side of the broken bridge. With the boosted jump, find all the ways to climb up. then enjoy the lefts overs the developers spread around
Very cool, i'm on my 30th play lol. I hope they expand this game more even though we know what the basis of the story is. I want a full Cyberpunk lore, need to know the back story of each character for fun
Some people may not like the idea of "invisible game borders", but despite what some say, I think they are the best because it makes the world and setting feel bigger and alive. as well as believable.
The double jump kinda breaks the game. Multiple times during missions I would jump up to some rooftop thinking I’m being stealthy, only to run into an invisible wall, or try and climb up a piece of the map that has no collision. It’s almost like they designed the map before adding a double jump, and just decided not to adapt it in any way.
I wish they would have let you cross the border back and forward normally. They couldve added the same function for the checkpoints into DogTown. Just let you drive in, get scanned, cross over and vice versa. Would have been cool.
Keep driving.. It could hopefully take you to the outskirts of Vizima, where paradoxically you could enter more buildings than you actually would care to.
Yeah that's been there for a long while. They just keep making the jump higher to reach. Original in the beginning you needed just the double jump, then you needed to do the double jump and long walk down the gate to the checkpoint, and now it's the Forklift legs power jump.
The devs should put an Easter egg out there. Similar to what they did with The Witcher III and the photo of the dev team that can only be viewed by glitching/modding out of bounds.
You could also just use the double jump ankles and chain double jumps to get up there from further away instead of needing to climb. Takes a bit to get the timing down, but if you do it right, you can double jump chain all the way up buildings, allowing for some massive skips in quests or reaching otherwise locked areas.
Once I was messing around by the wall and summoned one of my cars, and it was clipped into the wall, and when I got inside and drove in reverse I was just on the other side. There's a lot of neat stuff to see on the other side of the border. You can reach Langley and walk around it a little bit. And there's another facility in the sky which I couldn't figure out how to reach. I also climbed on top of a mountain which seemed to be way taller than any building in the city. There's more to find too.
Now, instead of boondocks or something else describing the edge of civilization, I'm going to say "Out past the chooh2 and the buck-a-slice. Billboard country."
“It’s impossible to leave night city.” I feel like that would be something spray painted on one of the buildings in the underbelly of the city somewhere
Thank you for uploading this, not because of the trick to make it past the border, but because it is apparent you're also experiencing shadow flicker on certain objects since patch 2.13. So it's not just me. Trying to figure out how to get it to look like the way it did before the patch dropped, to no avail. The flickering is especially awful in the city. 😔 ..Also, 452 perk points? 😏
I got out of the map through a secret glitched hole in a huge desert rock back in December 2020 when cyberpunk was very buggy, i went all the way to this abandoned town out of the map, and then i went back nearly to the original map to another blocked base only to be blocked by the main entrance after the outer entrance, Nostalgia and Good Times.
the fact that the area past the border checkpoint renders still even after the Nomad prologue means that had Cyberpunk 2077 released with minimal bugs or bugs that could easily fixed then CDPR may have planned to add a DLC or Expansion in that area
The way you took is MUCH MORE EASIER and sampler to do than the other video of a girl who did found a way to cheat to go to the other side. She was not even using this passage tho. She was making spawning many vehicle over another vehicle... that was painful to watch, honestly! 😂 thank you for that one!
Not sure if it still works but if you hit barb wire before hitting the apex of a charge jump you can start charging it again and use it as a double jump (this also keeps your normal double jump). Before they fixed the kerenzikov dodge super speed exploits (RIP best movement bug) you could even buffer the slow down into super speed charge jump>charge jump>triple jump if you landed on top of barbed wire and used the ADS dodge slow down as soon as your character stood up. It made it extremely easy to get over areas like this by just finding barb nearby.
you dont need to go over the building. the game will teleport you back when inside a vehicle but not as quickly when on foot. walk through the checkpoint. go off the road left or right. spam vehicle spawn button and walk around a little. just like when spawning a motorcycle at the mansion for example. get in the car once it spawn and drive around. only a small part of the road has the blocked area that teleports you. once you're around that you are free to go where you please. basically just walk through the checkpoint and off the road around the teleport area. spawn a vehicle if wanted.
Drive long enough and it takes you to Los Santos.

The kill wall looks like it runs by a sign at 0:11, seems like if you cross that sign you get the instant death.
It seems like a timer
Plot twist. There's nothing to sightsee there.
That’s one bug I really hope they never patch, because that’s great
Ah, going and exploring the nomad start location I see.
That's how the first chosen one escaped the matrix and started freeing others
Crossing the mexico/usa border speed run
It's the Night City - South California border
Felt like I was calling my speeder on star wars outlaws...😂
🤣😂
me on my modder cyberpunk game, driving casually through the checkpoint to scrap a high value car for eddies
"amatures"
As a nomad I can tell you with confidence that the old saying "Us decent folk don't take kindly to strangers 'round here" pretty much sums up everything beyond the checkpoint.
Honestly I love this, the badlands is such a good area, I wish the canceled DLC would have included more of it
It’s interesting that the path accurately maps how to get back on the road even outside of the city (like they coded the roads properly)
This is why I instantly chose big jump instead of double jump.
"Its impossible to leave *Night City*" is a powerfull sentence when you read it after beating the game
There is a starting story where u start outside of that wall. So it does have a purpose to exist
I did that as soon as there was nothing much else to do. This game just lets you explore like that.
run v run and dont look back
Very cool, i'm on my 30th play lol. I hope they expand this game more even though we know what the basis of the story is. I want a full Cyberpunk lore, need to know the back story of each character for fun
"Resistance is Feudal!"
Futile*
I think it's FUTILE in this case
@simpioustv4882 damn didn't see your comment, you beat me to it lol
Game is fun for 1 time, I liked Cloudpunk better for athmosphere or vibe of the city. Just hoping they learned from this and do a Witcher 4.
Leaving the city with Jackie...
Some people may not like the idea of "invisible game borders", but despite what some say, I think they are the best because it makes the world and setting feel bigger and alive. as well as believable.
"Buck-A-Slice" the only thing unrealistic about Night City.
That sucks. Never happend to me and I play the same
I wish they would have let you cross the border back and forward normally. They couldve added the same function for the checkpoints into DogTown. Just let you drive in, get scanned, cross over and vice versa. Would have been cool.
finally finds a way to leave...stays there and doesnt go to the end.
Keep driving.. It could hopefully take you to the outskirts of Vizima, where paradoxically you could enter more buildings than you actually would care to.
Well damn, I know what I'm trying on my next playthrough!
I think they did that with the secret garage in Kabuki Market.
There's more to find too.
some say you can still see the ghost of a man running on the outskirts of night city...
Camera turns like an E3 promo
Now, instead of boondocks or something else describing the edge of civilization, I'm going to say "Out past the chooh2 and the buck-a-slice. Billboard country."
Ok now go to the destination as intended from out side
“It’s impossible to leave night city.” I feel like that would be something spray painted on one of the buildings in the underbelly of the city somewhere
Drive long enough and soon you'll see Sunset CIty
Thank you for uploading this, not because of the trick to make it past the border, but because it is apparent you're also experiencing shadow flicker on certain objects since patch 2.13. So it's not just me. Trying to figure out how to get it to look like the way it did before the patch dropped, to no avail. The flickering is especially awful in the city. 😔
..Also, 452 perk points?
I remember I used to find small bugs like these in old Call of Duty Mw games to get out of the map
There many things out in that desert beyond the road for discovery...
the fact that the area past the border checkpoint renders still even after the Nomad prologue means that had Cyberpunk 2077 released with minimal bugs or bugs that could easily fixed then CDPR may have planned to add a DLC or Expansion in that area
It made it extremely easy to get over areas like this by just finding barb nearby.
you dont need to go over the building. the game will teleport you back when inside a vehicle but not as quickly when on foot. walk through the checkpoint. go off the road left or right. spam vehicle spawn button and walk around a little. just like when spawning a motorcycle at the mansion for example. get in the car once it spawn and drive around. only a small part of the road has the blocked area that teleports you. once you're around that you are free to go where you please. basically just walk through the checkpoint and off the road around the teleport area. spawn a vehicle if wanted.
in another 4 years you might also realize you can allocate those skill points
