I used to think that training mode was for people who didn't want to actually play the game, but after spending several hours in training mode learning combos, what different moves do, and how to do certain moves. Safe to say training mode is a staple in getting better
You had to learn how to love training mode? I already adore training mode. Training mode is life, training mode is love. I breathe, eat, and sleep training modes. 90% of the time I buy games just to create combos in training mode.
I learned to play a fully functional axl with actually close if not exactly combos from dustloop by just trying to figure out stuff on training mode with axl, and when actually trying to learn a hyperspecifc combo, like a combo off counter 6p(1) or 632147S. Honestly, without training mode +r would be much more harder because you can't reliably do frcs without training it.
I've made it a rule where I just invent as many of my combos as possible and training mode has become so fun. Grab someone simple with good normals like sol and then just experiment, most fun I've had in a while.
@@KlineFGC also just helps you grasp your normals more. Some attacks are so choppy that it's hard to tell what direction they even hit, especially in plus r
@@KlineFGCthe issue with learning combos off the wiki for example is that you can't get that sort of natural idea of going for it, if it feels unnatural to play the character or do the character it is difficult to learn combos for me.

I have been saying it for years.

I've enjoyed doing something similar, labbing out your own combos really helps you when trying to convert off scramble situations
