The Drmtlgy spf 45 has changed my sunscreen life. I've been using it for 2 months and hope that they'll never change the formula. Don't love the pool floaty smell but it dissipates quickly. Thank you for mentioning the rosacea gel moisturizer because that seems like it'd be great for my mom.
Hello Andrea and lovely Andrea's mom and cute Tybee! I always find it so comforting to hang out with you, it grounds me. I am currently using the ciclaplast baume on my décolleté that sometimes gets irritated, that seems to be my area of less tolerance for any potentially irritating product. I find that creme to be incredibly soothing and healing, and as you mentioned it has a lovely consistency, it's thick yet not too heavy, although with a combination skin I don't use it on my face, I only use it as an sos for any irritation.

I've used one of those on my legs, best thing I ever did. I still get hair regrowth from the very fine blonde hairs but the majority of it, gone. Read the instructions carefully and you'll get the benefits out of it.

I've never liked sheet masks. They don't stay on unless I'm laying perfectly still on my back and the eye holes never line up correctly on my face so it ends up irritating my eyes from all of the fragrance they're usually loaded with. My favorite sheet mask is to make a DIY one using a sheet of rice paper that is used to make spring rolls. I cut out several pieces to roughly fit onto each area of my face; forehead, each cheek, and chin. I soak it in a little bit of lukewarm water in a pie plate just until softened enough to be pliable. Each piece sticks to the skin very well and the rice both softens and brightens my skin. No irritation at all! :)
I like them but they don't fit me either. My main concern is also eye irritation because my eyes are so sensitive. I might try cutting the part those goes between the eyes to make it fit better. We'll see!!

I'm recovering from hand surgery, and using the CeraVe healing ointment on the scars...my OT was impressed. She has her own arsenal of topicals for massage use on post surgery hands, with various interesting ingredients like arnica, CBD, ivy and hydrocortisone.

I always think that combo sunscreens made in US are SPF biased and have a low level of UVA protection. That’s why I always choose either European/Asian sunscreens with new generation filters or 100% zinc oxide based ones
mr.djkilah I’ll second European sunscreens. Currently use and love LRP Anthelios XL Shaka Fluid SPF 50+ PPD 46. I’ve read that for zinc to offer great protection against UVA (UVAPF 16+ or PA++++) it needs to be at least 20% and above... I’m convinced that zinc doesn’t offer high uva protection
Tony Virdanen never heard about the 20% of zinc rule but it’s always a good option to use zinc in combination with other new generation filters like tinosorb for added uva protection.
It would be nice if you put a separate page/list of just books you’ve enjoyed or movies. Sometimes when you mention one I can’t remember what vlog it’s in. Thank you for your site - very much enjoy you and your mom

The SAYA MOISTURIZER, is not so great with my face but i use on hand and arms .Brightens them . 😍 But i guess will not buy again. I preferred hada labo or the aqua label of shisheido brand. Dr Dray, the Klairs Midnight Blue Mask is amazing as well. In fact, there's something in the Blue Cream that bothers me, but not the mask, it's fantastic.

Dr Dray Thank you for your response. This is so confusing. The list of ingredients I copy-pasted is from Amazon for a 30 ml cream. For a 60 ml cream they just say that they have lemon among the ingredients (also on Amazon). Very strange.

Just got my elta md sunscreen, so far I’m just loving it so much! However, I feel like when I wash it off, even with my double cleansing routine, I feel like I still have a layer of the sunscreen on my skin. Is it just me or is this sunscreeen hard to get off?

I watched Ted Bundy movie after your recommendation and yes it was very good. Another movie that i was skeptical but turned out to be fantastic is American Honey thinking it'll be all about teenage sex, but it wasn't. Excellent acting and very sad story which depicts children growing up in poverty and have to make hard choices. Wine country was good entertainment. I never wear makeup and my face was very red lately so I decided to stop for a few days (2 weeks now) and I've seen very good results. Can this have bad effects in long term?? How do you feel about cosdna.com ? My curology dermatologist told me to run my products through that websit to make sure the ingredients are okay to use. Also I noticed my angry inflammed acne has gone away using curology except that now I have tiny microcomodones that some are white some are skin colored & its almost like baby acne & this is new to my skin she said that the cerave face lotions could possibly be causing this congestion & thats what cosdna.com says as well - can you explain what "Propylparaben" is? & why its in cerave & could cause breakouts for some?

@Happy Day I have the same problem, that's why I use creams without niacinamide, CeraVe moisturizer in the tub is my favorite (and not PM lotion loaded with Niacinamide). I do use Niacinamide serum by The Ordinary when my skin is not irritated, and I've found out that if applied over Hada Labo Premium Hylaronic Lotion, it doesn't sting.
Do you apply it over the Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel? Don't know if that would help. Or maybe you can use it on top of a lighter moisturizer. Sort of the same way we layer sunscreen.

I notice the detergent isn’t the problem but it was dryer sheets. They left perfume and waxy stuff on my towels. My towels didn’t even absorb water well after I used dryer sheets.

I agree with Dr Dray, the ingredients list you have posted here is not what was on the box when I received my order.
Dr Dray Thank you for your response. This is so confusing. The list of ingredients I copy-pasted is from Amazon for a 30 ml cream. For a 60 ml cream they just say that they have lemon among the ingredients (also on Amazon). Very strange.

Just got my elta md sunscreen, so far I’m just loving it so much! However, I feel like when I wash it off, even with my double cleansing routine, I feel like I still have a layer of the sunscreen on my skin. Is it just me or is this sunscreeen hard to get off?

I watched Ted Bundy movie after your recommendation and yes it was very good. Another movie that i was skeptical but turned out to be fantastic is American Honey thinking it'll be all about teenage sex, but it wasn't. Excellent acting and very sad story which depicts children growing up in poverty and have to make hard choices. Wine country was good entertainment. Dr. Dray, your mom is so sweet and i love watching your relationship with her making me miss my mom so much, she died of breast cancer after battling it for 2yrs.

How do you feel about cosdna.com ? My curology dermatologist told me to run my products through that websit to make sure the ingredients are okay to use. Also I noticed my angry inflammed acne has gone away using curology except that now I have tiny microcomodones that some are white some are skin colored & its almost like baby acne & this is new to my skin she said that the cerave face lotions could possibly be causing this congestion & thats what cosdna.com says as well - can you explain what "Propylparaben" is? & why its in cerave & could cause breakouts for some?

Is there a way to buffer that? Maybe applying an oil first?

@Happy Day I have the same problem, that's why I use creams without niacinamide, CeraVe moisturizer in the tub is my favorite (and not PM lotion loaded with Niacinamide). I do use Niacinamide serum by The Ordinary when my skin is not irritated, and I've found out that if applied over Hada Labo Premium Hylaronic Lotion, it doesn't sting.
Do you apply it over the Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel? Don't know if that would help. Or maybe you can use it on top of a lighter moisturizer. Sort of the same way we layer sunscreen.

I notice the detergent isn’t the problem but it was dryer sheets. They left perfume and waxy stuff on my towels. My towels didn’t even absorb water well after I used dryer sheets.
