Вообще подстава - кучу времени под соленной водой и только поверхносная ржавчина .... зарыли месяца 2 тому чтоб на нем молюски завелись - для ютуба кино

You are sarcastic and skeptical, which I understand. However, would it be possible to stick those barnacles to the engine if it was staged? Mr Ho might find it on the beach and thought of restoring it so then the idea of the video came. TH-cam is a way for him to earn some living, you know.
A lot of you don’t realise that in Vietnam, there’s two facts at work here. One, these kinds of engine are frequently used on power boats over there. So it’s very likely one sank and that’s why it was found. Secondly, a lot of excellent recycling happens in Vietnam, as the import costs on things like cars is extremely high (why many people ride motorbikes there). Maybe get out into the world a little more if you don’t understand it? To the creator, cảm ơn nhiều lắm, bác năm.
This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. It makes me crazy when I see people use the open end of a combination wrench to loosen a tight bolt. USE THE BOX END, that's what it's for. Great video though. Way too many people would never even think something like this could be done. You proved them wrong.

Ага, отмыл , покрасил, как будто знал что заведётся! Зеркала цилиндров без задиров, кольца на поршнях как новые, какие богатые люди во Вьетнаме , что почти новые движки выкидывают! Видео для лохов, впрочем как и большинство их видосов с разнообразными реставрациями!
Честно говоря сомневаюсь, что пролежал много лет под водой. Разобрать и не обломить не одного болта или гайки после морской воды прямо чудеса. Да и поршневая почти без выработки и коленвал как новый, хоть застрелите но я не верю в это. Хотя досмотрел с интересом. Спасибо за работу.
Конечно ...если бы на самом деле он лежал так много лет под водой он бы уже давно сыпался, специально на какое то время взяли и поместили в воду, и потом через какое то время бегом вытаскивать и разбирать , он сам себя палит , так быстро и моментально все находит , там даже смотришь как будто ещё масло на некоторых деталях осталось
1) I'm amazed you could even turn most of those bolts. 2) I'm equally amazed that you remembered where all the parts you removed go. I would have needed to put them all in marked containers with many photos to show me where they all went.
I think things went like this: This young man dropped an already well-running smooth engine into the sea on a rocky place and waited until the seashells grew on it. Then he took the engine and buried it in the sand, that is the only way we can explain how many seashells stuck to the engine in the sand. Then, while walking on the beach, he started the "I found an engine" scenario and he made a friend of his partner a partner in this scenario. He brought the engine to his workshop and cleaned it in the worst way possible, painted the worst possible paint, and started it up. We watched it as 'restoration'. I don't know why, but almost all of the eastern-based restoration channels work this way. And what a pity it happened to the poor sea creatures!
Definitely a con job , salt water had not even got to the exhaust side of the turbo plus no electrolysis on any of the alloy . Just normal wear on the inside. A motor that has been buried in beach sand is just a lump of rust . Good on him conning the uneducated it is a great marketing strategy
Не востановил а почистил! Он даже прокладку гбц не заменил. Мотор изношен и его никто не дефектовал. Блок с колекторами турбовый а колено атмосферника . Этот мотор жить не будет,как минимум прорвутся газы но для видюшки сойдет.

It sounded beautiful when you finally started it up. It's amazing that even after sitting under the water it wasn't as bad on the inside as I would've thought.
I'm a fully trained vehicle tech, and was throwing spanners for 30 plus years, but the way this guy did this, with minimal tools, was pretty amazing. You could tell his dedication in one part which showed his bleeding knuckle! Surprised that he used the open end of the spanner so much, instead of the ring, but, hey ho, if that's what he likes, then so be it. Just imagine what this guy could do in a fully equiped workshop, and I don't want to sound disrespectful, but he is probably a lot more skilled than most "western world" machanics in garages. The thing is, after watching various films and clips on youtube, there are many many people that are probably self taught that can repair, fix or even jury rig things that would be way beyond today's "mechanics", who are not much more than computer competent people who just replace complete units that the diagnostic equipment (costing hundreds of thousands of pounds) tell them to. He reminds me of the time when i started in the trade, when you used to repair things, instead of just replacing complete units....In the youth speak of today, this guy is "old school"! Really enjoyed watching this, keep up the great work, my friend.

Морская вода как кислота разъедает железо очень хорошо. А алюминий очень быстро. Очень легко он отмывает блок двигателя от грязи . Видимо сам облил грязью и делает вид что моет. ТНВД после морской соли восстановлению не подлежит. А тут все отлично! Я балдею от этого фуфлогона реставратора!!!
Восстановил двигатель отлично! Только одно ,,Но’’ : ракушечником в этих широтах и водах металл обрастает быстро и двигатель находился не так много времени в воде! Если бы он находился несколько лет под водой ,то были бы ярко выражены места коррозии ,что снаружи,что внутри!

Had this in my to watch list for a while & I'm finally pulling the trigger. Probably one of the craziest YT vid, showcasing humanity as its worst (throwing away valuable things) & at its best (skilled & patient folks wishing to sweat & brainstorm a bit to fix said things). The ASMR quality of the vid was the cherry on top. Straight in my favorite folder.

На двигателе после покраски видны следы коррозии. Кстати, я так ставил двигатель на 407 москвич. Нашёл у мужика в гараже, движок лет 30 просто валялся без консервации. И ничего, перебрал, ездил. Пока машину не украли.

This was one of the most pleasurable videos I've seen ever. Your vision for the engine is very impressive and your mechanical abilities are excellent. Whenever I see engines and or parts, cars etc. that are in need of repair rebuild, I wonder why more people don't refurbish them. Great job!
i'am a 70 yr old man I can honestly say I have never been around any mechanic that is as good as your are you are in a class all by yourself brilliant!!
This teaches us that before throwing something into the sea we could think about repairing it or sending it to a recovery center, which would greatly simplify the work of these mechanical geniuses, and helping many people who need cheap refurbished equipment.
Very nice work restoring this Isuzu engine from total decay , unbelievable how the internal components of the injection pump were reutilized , no doubt this man has great experience working on engines ,,👏👏👏
14:26 промывка рубашки охлаждения с высоким давлением. 21:00 шатуны так и не разобрал. 24:10 божественная шлифовка крышки гбц. 29:06. Весь стартер в говне, но не подшипники. 30:45 ребят, я конечно не мастер, но это можно? Покраска фрикционной части маховика? 33:40 точные инструменты для закрутки и затяжения коленвала по техрегламенту. 38:00 настройка зазора клапанов, ай и хер с ним. И ведь найдутся люди которых впечатлит *навык* автора. На деле парень или тупо стебет или играет на дурачков. Просто тупо лежалый двигатель со слитым маслом за пару лет в гараже может уйти на расточку потому что было недостаточно сухо. А если это движок *со дна океана* с водой в цилиндрах и его просто перебрали. Это гон.
А вас не смутило полное отсутствие маслосъёмные колпачков на гбц крупным планом, ну или закрашенные заглушки в блоке которые потом о чудо блестят? Ну или божественная полировка шеек коленвала? Старый масляный фильтр бля, а вы тут на прокладки грешите))))
Вот что делают волшебные ракушки чудотворного Сиамского залива!! Всю ржавчину с мотора съели!! Процедуре, показанной на 22:05 позавидовал бы даже канал "K-Power", а сборка на старых прокладках и мятым масляным фильтром вообще рассмешила!

Всё было правдоподобно ровно до того момента когда он разобрал, почистил стартер и снова его собрал и типа он работает. Если этот двигатель пролежал много лет в солёной воде, то там как минимум вся медь должна окислиться и в обмотках статера и якоря должно быть короткое замыкание как минимум.
Да какие "много лет" - там ракушками все обрастает за пару недель. Все постановка. Об этом говорит хорошее состояние двигателя - даже хон сохранился и выступов от выработки нет совсем; и то, что все резьбовые соединения раскручиваются. Такое ощущение, что движок законсервировали и засунули в море специально. Кстати, львиную часть проблем с восстановлением не показали - про стартер все правильно - чудес не бывает !!!
@@user-pj9rf3vn1t так и делают. сперва рабочий движок разберут, соберут, а потом в море подержат для начала видео. Я что-то ни разу не видел, чтоб такие ракушки от напора мойки сами отлетали. Там молотком порой не всегда отбить можно.

Прокладка гбц старая на дизеле никогда не будет работать. Ну и вишенка на торте это старый масляный фильтр еще и гнутый весь. Сказочник и постановщик

Looks to good to be true. And IT IS! YOU WILL NEVER EVER SEE the inside of an engine this clean after being in salt water. Plus, never seen them Turk anything
I gotta agree with you. It really did have barnacles on the outside but I can’t see that thing not being completely seized and destroyed from salt water. Plus he didn’t even use new gaskets!

There are many questions in this video, and the first of them is the fact that the engine, which has lain under water for many years, in fact could not have black oil-coated elements, as we see in the example of the cylinder head, springs and valves. The second discrepancy and the big question is in unscrewing any bolts and nuts that should have rusted and oxidized for a long time and it is no longer possible to unscrew such nuts and bolts. The third discrepancy number is that when in the aquatic environment, metal parts are simply destroyed by corrosion and turn into dust, right there all the parts or almost all have retained their integrity. There are big doubts that this engine has lain under water for many years.
Also, no stuck pistons, and no sand stuck everywhere, if I had to guess it was probably there for like a month or two by just the barnacles, but if it was there for a month or two how did the pistons not get stuck
The engine is from 2003. Many parts have 03 for the production year on it. I also think, they placed it the for a few weeks or month and prevented it from being flooded. Still interesting to watch
Every young guy that took on a project like this for his first car (like myself 60 years ago) should view your video. With a good work ethic & desire to succeed, one can't fail.

I like how it been in the water for years, and he using open end wrenches to take this apart. Steel in aluminum ain't going to come apart that easy!! Something not right here. Using no heat, those bolts going to snap!!!!
Theres NO RUST ON THAT engine at all. its FAKE DUMMY! no body parks an engine in the sea in poverty stricken country like his. Report this channel as fraud and fake. This guy makes fake videos.
the trick is to smack the bolts hard with a hammer to loosen them. he does it in the video. i do it on rusty exhaust manifold bolts. worked every time.

Sir, you have my highest respect. This is the best restoration video I have watched yet. You are a master mechanic to be able to accomplish what you did here. SO nice to see that engine given a new life.
I've built more than a few motors myself, but here it just a trip to the machine shop for most of this clean-up. Hell, I can't remember the last time I rebuilt a starter or alternator. This guy is doing this the way our grandfathers and great grandfathers used to.

@@rcx575 Not at all, I had to change a nose-cone on the side of the expressway last summer. But as far as to tear one all the way down and rebuilt it, I know I was still in college and it was on my AMC Spirit. I'm 46 now, but it's kind of a lost art.

И на гильзы ,поршня ,ТНВД морская вода никак не влияет🤣🤣🤣, только улучшает двигатель. Тут машина утопленник после пары дней в воде двигателю капец настает)))) ,а у этого ракушки в пятом поколении 🤣. Но смонтировано отлично!!!
That little turbo diesel was in freshwater not saltwater so that's why it's not all rusted and locked up. It had been in the water for no more than about 2 years because of the buildup of freshwater crustaceans embedded throughout the engine. Looks like a fun project, thanks for sharing the build with us. Thanks from Virginia USA!
27:55 that’s salt corrosion. Looks like it was in salt water.. being under the sand keeps the salt from oxidizing the engine itself but electrical components will still suffer electrolysis. I’ve overhauled outboard motors That have been underwater from days to months before and as long as they go from saltwater to freshwater rinse and not dry in between (rust) it’s usually savable. I had a boat go down after letting a friend borrow it for the weekend and it sank because he didn’t tighten the plug correctly.. it spent about a week at the bottom of the ocean in 40 foot deep water and sea weed. We raised it, put it on the trailer and took it home. I rinsed the engine, drained the fluids and pulled the carb and spark plugs. Shot a little mystery oil in there and put back together and she fired right up. 4 years later and i still use that boat
@@mikecorleone6797 I understand what you saying but this is more than a few weeks. It may have been sunken at the point where the river meets the see. This would lower it exposure to salt water. Either way I wasn't knocking him in particular, I'm tired of utubers heading there videos with 'Parked 20 years will it run?' Or something even more mellowdramtic. Of course it will run! If you use money like water goes thru a garden hose anything will run again.
@@robertordewald8678 wasn’t much money spent on this he reused oil pan gasket head gasket and god knows what else the most money was for oil and the bearings I’d like to see that turbo on it though
@@jackmehoff1565 No you are right, I think he put new bearings and maybe rings. This young man did not throw money at it but I believe that this was not a miracle getting it running either. A good work ethic and a pretty good toolbox helps. If he needs a torque wrench he can have my old craftsman bend bar wrenc wrench. I have had that one since the 1970's and while I have upgraded it still works fine. He needs to just split the shipping. I believe that if a person has time or a little money in a tool he will appreciate it more than if it is simply a gift. If he have no money then we can trade or tell me a good tall story why he needs a tool - like his evil landlord will kick him out if he does not have a certain tool or maybe he needs it to build something to save someone from drowning. It need not be true it just needs to make me smile....
Mr Ho is totally amazing. But I got to thinking about how much he's covered in solvents and fuel, and how long he's grinding and sanding with no face mask, and worry that this amazing man will come down with cancer later in life. Then I realized if he does, he'll operate on himself and develop his own cure. So, no problem I guess.
Great work! Awesome 8M views in 2 weeks! I honestly did not think this engine would look so good after seeing it straight out of the ocean, and getting it running is incredible. The starter was so crusty, the first thing I thought was "there is no way that thing is going to work again". I'd love to see you build something around this engine, it seems fairly powerful.

There is no way this was buried in sand for any length of time, the engine pan, cylinders and every Crack and crevice would have been full of sand. I have pulled engines apart that have been under water and they are always full of sand, dirt and sludge. However, that said, his attention to detail and the time he spent does have my respect.
man you got skills. i have restored motorcycles but they usually wasn't at the bottom of the sea for years and if they was i would probably of left them there

This is phenomenal. So a boat was presumably beached and it slowly fell apart depositing the engine at the water's edge. Its when you see the engineering that made the engine that you realise how valuable & saveable these things are but it takes a special person to do this much effort - if I tried this I'd end up with a HUGE pile of nuts & bolts and not have a clue where they go!
i reckon i could just about do the job, just not sure i'd have the stamina for all the cleaning. tbh i would never have even started. that engine looked 110% dead.
The cold chisel method of removing nuts was novel to me. I can imagine using a torch would be very smelly with all those barnacles. Cảm ơn for the authentic restoration.

This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. It makes me crazy when I see people use the open end of a combination wrench to loosen a tight bolt. USE THE BOX END, that's what it's for. Честно говоря сомневаюсь, что пролежал много лет под водой. Разобрать и не обломить не одного болта или гайки после морской воды прямо чудеса. Да и поршневая почти без выработки и коленвал как новый, хоть застрелите но я не верю в это. Хотя досмотрел с интересом. Спасибо за работу.

Конечно ...если бы на самом деле он лежал так много лет под водой он бы уже давно сыпался, специально на какое то время взяли и поместили в воду, и потом через какое то время бегом вытаскивать и разбирать , он сам себя палит , так быстро и моментально все находит , там даже смотришь как будто ещё масло на некоторых деталях осталось

I think things went like this: This young man dropped an already well-running smooth engine into the sea on a rocky place and waited until the seashells grew on it. Then he took the engine and buried it in the sand, that is the only way we can explain how many seashells stuck to the engine in the sand. Then, while walking on the beach, he started the "I found an engine" scenario and he made a friend of his partner a partner in this scenario. He brought the engine to his workshop and cleaned it in the worst way possible, painted the worst possible paint, and started it up. We watched it as 'restoration'. I don't know why, but almost all of the eastern-based restoration channels work this way. And what a pity it happened to the poor sea creatures!
Definitely a con job , salt water had not even got to the exhaust side of the turbo plus no electrolysis on any of the alloy . Just normal wear on the inside. A motor that has been buried in beach sand is just a lump of rust . Good on him conning the uneducated it is a great marketing strategy

Не востановил а почистил! Он даже прокладку гбц не заменил. Мотор изношен и его никто не дефектовал. Блок с колекторами турбовый а колено атмосферника . Этот мотор жить не будет,как минимум прорвутся газы но для видюшки сойдет.
Сам утопил? Долго же ему ждать пришлось.

I'm a fully trained vehicle tech, and was throwing spanners for 30 plus years, but the way this guy did this, with minimal tools, was pretty amazing. You could tell his dedication in one part which showed his bleeding knuckle! Surprised that he used the open end of the spanner so much, instead of the ring, but, hey ho, if that's what he likes, then so be it. Just imagine what this guy could do in a fully equiped workshop, and I don't want to sound disrespectful, but he is probably a lot more skilled than most "western world" machanics in garages.
The thing is, after watching various films and clips on youtube, there are many many people that are probably self taught that can repair, fix or even jury rig things that would be way beyond today's "mechanics", who are not much more than computer competent people who just replace complete units that the diagnostic equipment (costing hundreds of thousands of pounds) tell them to.
He reminds me of the time when i started in the trade, when you used to repair things, instead of just replacing complete units....In the youth speak of today, this guy is "old school"!

Восстановил двигатель отлично! Только одно ,,Но’’ : ракушечником в этих широтах и водах металл обрастает быстро и двигатель находился не так много времени в воде! Если бы он находился несколько лет под водой ,то были бы ярко выражены места коррозии ,что снаружи,что внутри!
Просто видимо закинул ненадолго предварительно смащав все гайки и прочее,слишком легко откручиваются

На двигателе после покраски видны следы коррозии. Кстати, я так ставил двигатель на 407 москвич. Нашёл у мужика в гараже, движок лет 30 просто валялся без консервации. И ничего, перебрал, ездил. Пока машину не украли.

Всё было правдоподобно ровно до того момента когда он разобрал, почистил стартер и снова его собрал и типа он работает. Если этот двигатель пролежал много лет в солёной воде, то там как минимум вся медь должна окислиться и в обмотках статера и якоря должно быть короткое замыкание как минимум.
Да какие "много лет" - там ракушками все обрастает за пару недель. Все постановка. Об этом говорит хорошее состояние двигателя - даже хон сохранился и выступов от выработки нет совсем; и то, что все резьбовые соединения раскручиваются. Такое ощущение, что движок законсервировали и засунули в море специально. Кстати, львиную часть проблем с восстановлением не показали - про стартер все правильно - чудес не бывает !!!
Так это Постановка и Все комбинированная съёмка не более того..

Тан он и ТНВД не разбирал и прокладку под головку старую поставил 😁, кольца старые, короче волшебник с динамометрическими руками.

This is fake....
There are many questions in this video, and the first of them is the fact that the engine, which has lain under water for many years, in fact could not have black oil-coated elements, as we see in the example of the cylinder head, springs and valves. The second discrepancy and the big question is in unscrewing any bolts and nuts that should have rusted and oxidized for a long time and it is no longer possible to unscrew such nuts and bolts. The third discrepancy number is that when in the aquatic environment, metal parts are simply destroyed by corrosion and turn into dust, right there all the parts or almost all have retained their integrity. There are big doubts that this engine has lain under water for many years.
Also, no stuck pistons, and no sand stuck everywhere, if I had to guess it was probably there for like a month or two by just the barnacles, but if it was there for a month or two how did the pistons not get stuck

Those nuts and bolts came off easier than the ones on my truck which has never seen saltwater, much less flooded with it.
And on top of that al, the diesel pump and the injectors are only cleant and the are perfect fine
The engine is from 2003. Many parts have 03 for the production year on it. I also think, they placed it the for a few weeks or month and prevented it from being flooded. Still interesting to watch

the trick is to smack the bolts hard with a hammer to loosen them. he does it in the video. i do it on rusty exhaust manifold bolts. worked every time.

I've built more than a few motors myself, but here it just a trip to the machine shop for most of this clean-up. Hell, I can't remember the last time I rebuilt a starter or alternator. This guy is doing this the way our grandfathers and great grandfathers used to.

@@rcx575 Not at all, I had to change a nose-cone on the side of the expressway last summer. But as far as to tear one all the way down and rebuilt it, I know I was still in college and it was on my AMC Spirit. I'm 46 now, but it's kind of a lost art.

Absolutely loved this video. What a clever guy you are - somehow you made this look EASY like anyone can do it, and I suspect that's TRUE because a lot of mystery surrounds machinery that few of us ever look into because we pay others to do it in order not to fall foul of the Law. Stunning work!!

И на гильзы ,поршня ,ТНВД морская вода никак не влияет🤣🤣🤣, только улучшает двигатель. Тут машина утопленник после пары дней в воде двигателю капец настает)))) ,а у этого ракушки в пятом поколении 🤣. Но смонтировано отлично!!!

That little turbo diesel was in freshwater not saltwater so that's why it's not all rusted and locked up. It had been in the water for no more than about 2 years because of the buildup of freshwater crustaceans embedded throughout the engine. Looks like a fun project, thanks for sharing the build with us. Thanks from Virginia USA!
27:55 that’s salt corrosion. Looks like it was in salt water.. being under the sand keeps the salt from oxidizing the engine itself but electrical components will still suffer electrolysis. I’ve overhauled outboard motors That have been underwater from days to months before and as long as they go from saltwater to freshwater rinse and not dry in between (rust) it’s usually savable. I had a boat go down after letting a friend borrow it for the weekend and it sank because he didn’t tighten the plug correctly.. it spent about a week at the bottom of the ocean in 40 foot deep water and sea weed. We raised it, put it on the trailer and took it home. I rinsed the engine, drained the fluids and pulled the carb and spark plugs. Shot a little mystery oil in there and put back together and she fired right up. 4 years later and i still use that boat
@@mikecorleone6797 I understand what you saying but this is more than a few weeks. It may have been sunken at the point where the river meets the see. This would lower it exposure to salt water. Either way I wasn't knocking him in particular, I'm tired of utubers heading there videos with 'Parked 20 years will it run?' Or something even more mellowdramtic. Of course it will run! If you use money like water goes thru a garden hose anything will run again.

@@robertordewald8678 wasn’t much money spent on this he reused oil pan gasket head gasket and god knows what else the most money was for oil and the bearings I’d like to see that turbo on it though
@@jackmehoff1565 No you are right, I think he put new bearings and maybe rings. This young man did not throw money at it but I believe that this was not a miracle getting it running either. A good work ethic and a pretty good toolbox helps. If he needs a torque wrench he can have my old craftsman bend bar wrenc wrench. I have had that one since the 1970's and while I have upgraded it still works fine. He needs to just split the shipping. I believe that if a person has time or a little money in a tool he will appreciate it more than if it is simply a gift. If he have no money then we can trade or tell me a good tall story why he needs a tool - like his evil landlord will kick him out if he does not have a certain tool or maybe he needs it to build something to save someone from drowning. It need not be true it just needs to make me smile....

Mr Ho is totally amazing. But I got to thinking about how much he's covered in solvents and fuel, and how long he's grinding and sanding with no face mask, and worry that this amazing man will come down with cancer later in life. Then I realized if he does, he'll operate on himself and develop his own cure. So, no problem I guess.

Great work! Awesome 8M views in 2 weeks! I honestly did not think this engine would look so good after seeing it straight out of the ocean, and getting it running is incredible. The starter was so crusty, the first thing I thought was "there is no way that thing is going to work again". I'd love to see you build something around this engine, it seems fairly powerful.

This is a marvellous job, nobody would believe that you could restore it so well. I really admire your skills. I don't know how you learnt to do this but it was brilliant to watch and the camera work was excellent. All the best from the UK.
There is no way this was buried in sand for any length of time, the engine pan, cylinders and every Crack and crevice would have been full of sand. I have pulled engines apart that have been under water and they are always full of sand, dirt and sludge. However, that said, his attention to detail and the time he spent does have my respect.

Yes, the barnacles would have all been dead if it'd been buried (you can see some clearly live at 4:15). Anyway, a most impressive bit of work.

Starter motor was full of sand and those barnicles would not have been put on ny hand. It was in the water but probably not for too long.

man you got skills. i have restored motorcycles but they usually wasn't at the bottom of the sea for years and if they was i would probably of left them there

That’s some true backyard mechanic stuff - the dude rebuilt a Diesel engine without using a torque wrench a single time.

This is phenomenal. So a boat was presumably beached and it slowly fell apart depositing the engine at the water's edge. Its when you see the engineering that made the engine that you realise how valuable & saveable these things are but it takes a special person to do this much effort - if I tried this I'd end up with a HUGE pile of nuts & bolts and not have a clue where they go!

The cold chisel method of removing nuts was novel to me. I can imagine using a torch would be very smelly with all those barnacles. Cảm ơn for the authentic restoration.
