Although this doesn’t offer soft closing doors like the Aviator, this Tailgate definitely closes a lot quieter than the clunkity clunk slamming tailgate sound you get from the Lincoln Aviator. This Cadillac XT6 is gorgeous inside and out. If I had a big enough family of my own, this would definitely be my choice of a luxury crossover.

The ONLY thing I would ever be eyeballing, is a 1970's Lincoln Continental Town Car or 1970's Cadillac Sedan DeVille.

I love the dash design on the XT5 and CT6 and on the XT6 it is simple not very many buttons and I love the how it forms into the shape of a “V” to match the Cadillac logo on the seats.

I’m not sure why people are hating on this so much. It really is a gorgeous vehicle. The Platinum package looks great, and the price is good. Reviewers say it’s too expensive, but it’s much less than competitors when fully loaded.
Agreed, no American car company has a better portfolio than GM period! Yet there is always negativity being written, which in my opinion creates the negative narrative.

Just checked one of these out today. It was still on the car hauler, so we crawled up to get a closer look. Absolutely impressive! Looks so badass in person! Was the black sport model.. I’m just bummed it would take 70k to purchase, (start around 57, I think) no xt6 for me!

I hope this previews what we’ll see in the next Escalade. That being said, I’d still go for the Lincoln Aviator though. It really disappoints me that Cadillac went for a front wheel drive layout in their large flagship crossover. The Aviator is significantly more powerful and has an available hybrid system making it even more powerful and more efficient all at the same time
Remember that Volvo also uses front wheel drive.
I was sure that I was going to get the 2020 GMC Acadia Denali but after seeing this SUV I'm rethinking that thought. These two SUVs are in direct competition with one another. The 2020 XT6 platinum has everything that I wash the 2020 Acadia Denali had like auto fold down third row seating, a true panoramic sunroof, auto park assist and a third row phone charger on both sides inside of just the one side. The only thing I don't really care for in the XT6 is the gear shifter. I like the new 2020 Acadia Denali push button gear shifter better. I have heard that the XT6 gear shifter is supposed to be different than the previous versions but I haven't seen any videos about it yet. Also, I'm not really sure about the price of either one, Which will play a big factor for me as well.

Gorgeous SUV, but Cadillac needs to step up its game with front "Multi-contour Comfort" seats like BMWs and the new Lincolns. I like the XT6 Sport and available Cirrus (Ivory white) seating, but Cirrus is not available in the top trim level w/leather door caps, leather dash and Alcantara headliner. Can it be special ordered that way? What about a V model w/more hp? And where's the Panaray top-end stereo? What about color-selectable LED interior accent lighting? And soft-close doors?
Those seats look like they will provide much comfort for both of my sphincters. Also, does the 400 badge represent the torque?
Yes to the 400 badge - but in NM, not lb ft. It has about 295 lb ft of torque.

Does it ride on the Acadia platform?
Yes but it is a bit larger
No window shades for the back doors? No power heated/ventilated second row? No super cruise? I hope these are features on the fully loaded model at least. Otherwise, this thing doesn't complete with BMW and Merc; it is a lot less money in its defense though.
The buttons on the center console near the shifter and the buttons on the steering wheel above the metal furnished buttons look unacceptable. Also the metal coverings on the speakers on the top portion of the door look good. Why no metal furnishings for the speakers at the bottom of the door?
In my opinion this interior looks rushed and very half assed based on my very few examples. In this day and age cadillac can not afford to be half assed. If they want to but a Chevy in a target suit at least put more effort into it.
Weird! The interior is ftom the Sport model, but the exterior is the Premium Luxury model.

Im SO glad Cadillac stayed with the hated and much maligned alpha-numeric naming system! Makes them a standout. (Everybody HATED Lincolns naming system, now that Cadillac has it throughout the lineup it'll be the best thing ever! lol) I drive a 13 Lincoln that has THREE person memory (XT6 has two) and all four of my windows are auto up and down. Cadillac has front window auto. lol! That's really shee-ite IMO! EIGHTY GRAND?? NOT!
The thing is, Lincoln’s naming system made no sense. BMW and Mercedes are really the only ones who have it consistent throughout their lineups. Cadillac is getting there though. I really wish brands with small lineups would use traditional names instead of trying to be cool like the big shots. I’m primarily looking at Acura, Cadillac, and Mazda (which isn’t even a luxury brand)

It is about 6 inches shorter than those two. Basically it fits right in between the GMC Acadia and the Chevy Traverse

I agreed at first but after studying the situation more I do not agree. Cadillac's dash and exterior rear are better executed to me.
It also reminds me of the Kia Telluride from the angle of the rear quarter panel; I’m disappointed in Caddy b’c Lincoln is evoking an era of style and class from last century. Caddy is using parts from the GM plastic parts bun and cutting them into triangular shapes as though it’s attractively cheap art.
Brilliant move, Caddy: bring out the XT6 w/o "Super Cruise" ??? !!! Wanna bet it WILL have it next year ??? :^(

The overall interior design looks great but the infotainment screen already looks dated in my opinion. There is too much wasted real estate on the center stack.
The exterior for me is a mixed bag I feel the front fascia looks oddly shaped in mine opinion and the rest of the body looks okay.
If you think this infotainment is dated, check out the ones in the 2019 Rav4's....ugh!

Test if the remote starting turns the A/C and let's the air into the cabin. My 2016 CT6 will start the engine, turn on the A/C and compressor and you can hear the air pressure build as it tries to get to the vents, but it sometimes doesn't actuate the ducts so the air can't get into the cabin until the driver actually gets in his oven-hot car and hits the start button!!! When I brought it into the dealership they said nowhere in the manual does it say the remote start will let the AC work so it's not their problem. I want a 7 seater but with this weird Cadillac BS I don't have much faith.
That is a very odd thing indeed. Never heard of remote start not working with the climate
@@CarConfections Everything turns on but sometimes the interior ducts stay stuck in the closed position until the actual start button is pressed. Watch the video on my channel. To be clear, sometimes they stick when started with the fob. They stick almost all the time when started with the app.

I’m a Cadillac fanboy but I have a hard time getting excited for the XT6 when I know the new Lincoln aviator is out there for the same price.
Definitely not the same price, trim to trim. Aviator will eclipse $80k+ fully loaded, although it will have substantially more power at that price. But I'm with you, I believe the Aviator is a more complete pkg.
HellKitty 101 granted Cadillac doesn’t have a black label equivalent, however, the XT6 has a higher starting price than the Aviator. At roughly 60 grand I like the Lincoln better both inside and out and it has 90 additional HP.
@@liberalweirdo7886 I don't disagree at all. Just note that Cadillac also doesn't have a base model either, which comes more equipped than a base Aviator. But again, it's hard to argue with the standard power of the Aviator. It baffles me that Cadillac did not put the 3.6TT from the XTS VSport in this(FWD application).

It's not currently for sale but it will be soon. This one is pre-production so we will be driving it once a saleable unit comes in

I have a feeling that this will be overpriced like the traverse. I’d easily take a Mazda CX-9 Signature or the 2020 Lexus RX, but not the RX L though. I’d also avoid the MDX because of the ZF 9 speed.

I wish the MDX would switch to the 10 speed. It’s really due for a redesign. There’s always the “sport hybrid” model with a 7 speed dual clutch transmission
Jay Mac the only caveat of the mix hybrid is that you cannot tow. Acura does not recommend towing at all in the sport hybrid. The non hybrid tows 5K lbs.
Great choices. Especially the Lexus. More than likely it will be more reliable.

How Cadillac did not delay this vehicle when the Aviator concept was shown is beyond me. While nice, there is no way in hell I'd buy this over a Traverse High Country, which is larger and not that much more less luxurious(and definitely less expensive). The Aviator is giving 400hp+ out the gate, which doesn't even begin to touch the upcoming bonkers hybrid model.
Cadillac planners need to all be fired. GM makes way too much in profit for their products to be so half-baked.
But many families don’t care about horses. This is going to be very popular with moms. They typically don’t mind how it drives. This certainly looks more functional, which is what matters to buyers.
HellKitty 101 the change from fwd to rwd in linconl and ford was just for the interceptor, for cops, i thinks its pointless to have to a rwd vehicle which isnt for track, besides fwd gets better fuel efficency

In the beginning of your video you say that this is the Sport Model, But the vehicle you are showing is not the sport model, That is a Premium Luxury Model, Sport models have a Blacked-out Grill and No chrome on the Bottom of the grill. as well as Blacked out wheels.
