    This is so informative! I was going to get PRP treatments to make my undereyes look less tired. However, I'm having a rhinoplasty/septoplasty to correct a deviated septum. I'm concerned that the bruising resulting from the surgery will undo any benefits from the PRP treatments. Would you say it's okay to do it still or wait until after the surgery? I also wouldn't want the PRP to interfere with proper healing of the nose.

      Hi Claudia Keefer,
      PRP actually does help expedite surgical healing, instead of hindering it. I often perform PRP treatments at the same time as surgery, as well as after. You can talk to your surgeon about it. I hope this clarifies things for you.

      Hi @revolverocelot2253,
      It shouldn't be an issue to have treatment. If PRP was being done in the same general area as the tattoo, I would advise to wait a month due to temporary swelling in the tattoo area. However, it should be safe to have PRP treatment if your tattoo is in a different area than the injection site. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    I have heard fillers sometimes do that

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Koshy Daniel,
      PRP won't cause vascular occlusion as it doesn't have the viscosity of a filler to potentially block the artery. Keep in mind that PRP is still part of the blood, so it can circulate through an artery.

    2. Can injecting PRP in eyebrow help growth and density?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Satish Kumar,
      1. It depends on what you are trying to treat. If you are treating eye bags with under eye wrinkling, it is best to treat the eye bags separately, and use PRP to treat skin quality to improve the appearance of the wrinkles. I usually perform both procedures at the same time, as PRP can also help with healing from surgery.
      2. I use a PRP combination treatment for stimulating thicker hair growth as it works much better, with less treatment sessions, than PRP alone. While these videos focus on pattern hair loss treatment, the same treatment has successfully thickened thinning eyebrows:

      Hi Nowara84,
      While PRF can help improve skin quality to treat dark circles, for hollowness, it doesn't have the strength of a hyaluronic acid filler, or the longevity. The volume effects of PRF only last 3 weeks. You can refer to this video video about it - th-cam.com/video/5f7_CLtYzNY/w-d-xo.html

    Hello I have darkness under the eye, purple colour and middle eastern background. My eyes are puffy sometimes but sometimes I feel as if its only the darkness that is the problem. How can I figure out if lower blepharoplasty is needed or not besides the PRP. Because right now I have done one prp treatment with no results and I am planning to do more prp treatments, but I dont know if blepharoplasty is needed aswell or if it is enough with prp treatment alone for the darkness. • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Erik And,
      Lower blepharoplasty is appropriate for puffy under eye bags, not for dark circles. For darker skin types, a radiofrequency device in addition to PRP may help with dark circles. A physical examination is needed to determine the appropriate treatment for your dark circles, and to diagnose if you have puffy eye bags. Hi@@ErikAnd-mx1ge,
      I usually don’t recommend treatment at your age for dark circles as your face is still growing and maturing, and often these issues do correct themselves as your face continues to grow. When I say, “young people” in my videos, I do mean adults in their 20s and 30s. If you still have the problem when you are older, say when you are in your early 20s when your face has stopped growing, then treatment can be considered. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    My question is
    My donor zone is good now, it seems good density and thickness.
    Will the density and thickness good availability of grafts decreases at my 30 age when i want to get transplanted?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Popcorn Mania,
      The permanent zone in the donor area is genetically resistant to hair thinning, so it should still be thick by the time you are eligible for a transplant. Keep in mind that while FUT surgeries only use grafts from the permanent zone, FUEs can take grafts outside of this area that are prone to thinning.
      As long as you are on finasteride already since your DHT-sensitivity is high with your early onset of pattern hair loss, and continue using finasteride after our treatment, you can consider a non-surgical hair transplant alternative to thicken thinning hair. Hi, doc i want to ask that how to know if someone have dark circle or under eye hollow which cause dark circles?
    2. Do only injecting prp work without hylauric acid?
    3. For how long it will last into skin the procedure you are doing?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Just a simple human,
      1. By appearance, and diagnosed with a physical examination
      2. PRP alone might work for dark circles, but it won't treat the hollowing if there is a volume deficit, so a hyaluronic acid filler will be needed to add volume.
      3. PRP improves skin quality and health from within, so effects last, but the skin is still prone to aging, lifestyle factors, and environmental factors. I hope this clarifies things for you.

      Hi@@DALINKUP,
      The term "stem cell therapy" is too general, and covers different treatments. I don't think it's necessary to have any of them done before collagen induction treatments like microneedling, radiofrequency, or CO2 laser. PRP can be considered a stem cell therapy since it contains your own stem cells, as well as a collagen induction therapy. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @ayushkalura3582,
      PRP treatment can thicken and improve lower eyelid skin, but it can't treat the lack of volume behind lower eyelid skin. PRP and other treatments also can't stop the effects of aging, so they can't be "permanent" treatments. Semi permanent, and permanent fillers are highly prone to complications in the long-term, so these are not recommended. You can refer to these videos about the different treatments for under eye hollowness, why fat grafting is not advised in thin lower eyelid skin, and why permanent and semi-permanent fillers are not recommended:

      Hi @drdoom6405,
      Any trauma to the skin, such as a needle or cannula penetrating it can result in some swelling. However, PRP injections usually have minimal swelling at the time of the procedure, but this also depends on your individual skin sensitivity, as well as the technique of the doctor performing your procedure. • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @toobafatima6643,
      PRP is a treatment to improve skin quality, which you should already have in abundance at your young age of 19. PRP is not a treatment for eye bags, or hollowness because it can't reduce the fat that causes eye bags, and it doesn't provide lasting volume to treat hollowness.
      I usually don't recommend treatments for hollowing, or eye bags at your age since your face is still growing and maturing at your age, so these issues can still resolve on their own. If you still have the problem when you are older, say when you are in your early 20s when your face has stopped growing, then treatment can be considered. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi@@toobafatima6643,
      I generally don't recommend treatment for someone as young as you, as stated above. If you insist on treatment, I suggest you see a different doctor who isn't recommending PRP for volume, or for eye bags. If you consider lower surgery, ask for transconjunctival blepharoplasty by name with no skin removal, and no external incision to preserve the shape of your eyes. The problem with possible treatment of filler at your age is you will have the cost to maintain it every year. Don't opt for permanent fillers because they are highly prone to complications. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Kashy,
      Hyaluronic acid fillers are safe, but the risks of fillers are associated with placement rather than the material. PRP mixed with less viscous hyaluronic acid is used for skin rejuvenation with collagen stimulation, and skin hydration; while PRP mixed with more viscous hyaluronic acid fillers is used for volume enhancement as well as collagen stimulation. I hope this clarifies things for you.
