Hello from Puerto Rico. Thanks for introducing us this new novice kit, its a pity I didnt know this was available otherwise I could have bought this instead of start buying separate tools. Product looks good but as you said better for a home builder. I bought an anti-static tweezer like that in the kit and what the vendor told was that they make easier for water slides to release from the tips and stay on the plastic of the model you are building contrary to some all-metal ones in which the decal may stay stuck at the tips of the tool.
Thanks for your comment!! I am trying to find these affordable tool sets so I can share them for all builders. This tool set was full of surprises. The tweezers are great. And I loved that they included the gimmick of converting the box into a tool holder.
I don't know what I like best this or that. It's gonna be the tools I am getting for my money and how well they work.I do like the case but then I also like this self healing mat as well. Depending on how well those nippers work i'm gonna have to check other video to see how well they work before I buy either one.
@@animousworks What about their version of the raser? Do they stand up to it or to each other? I still find that the this raser is still to wide for certain spots and I had to use blade to shave it down.
@nelsonolivierjr3994 There are some other options aside from the raser and they glass file. But same. I believe all these companies use the same manufacturer, lol
Great video where i can get this tool kit because I have some random tools and i would like to have a quality' tools set like that one or the Dspiae one
Aoshima released the Snap Kit 1/32 and Snap Car 1/24, this made me want to return to assembling the model kit that I had abandoned for a long time since 2019. Now I have to start from scratch. I was quite surprised by the development of model kit equipment recently, there is a lot of equipment that is very pocket friendly, especially bundled sets like this. I'm confused between choosing the Hobby Mio Set or the Dspiae Combo Set that you reviewed previously. which one is suitable to buy? Which nipper is better between the Hobby Mio set and the DSpiae set?
If you are returning to the hobby. The dspiae set will be your best bet. It brings way more tools and travel case. The nippers both perform about the same.
the decals are stickers to stick on the sides of the box when you want to make it into the tool station. they hold the box open without it foldiing up.
Mainly interested in the nippers hehe. Have you tried it and how does it compare to the one from the dspiae departure set? Side note, the lotus brand of hobby knife I use comes with the disposal box for blades. Downside is that I have to buy another knife everytime I run out of blades, since I cannot seem to find that kind of blade anywhere else. Lol.
I'm very curious about the lotus brand. Ill give it a look. In comparison, the nippers are fairly similar. However, the GH still reigns supreme for that second cut. But these are perfect entry grade single bladed. When used for the second cut, it was clean.
@@animousworks I see. Both starter sets do have their appeal, but in my country the hobby mio is cheaper, although not by much. Do let us know if you get to try the lotus brand hobby knife. It's really nothing fancy, but it does what it's intended for.
@DarkROSkull013 this is very true. Each starte set does have its own appeal. I always recommend getting what's more convenient for you as a builder. And for sure. Im gonna look into them.
For beginners, both the hobby mio and the dspiae would work wonderful. However, due to the portability and additional tools, as well as a diagram with instructions. I would recommend the dspiae one over the hobby mio one.
It would depend on your application. Both tool kits have tools that are great quity. At home, my partner uses the hobby mio one. And the DSPIAE one i have it for when i go to local build days. Though the DSPIAE on has a travel case and includes a bit more tools.
Hmm tough one. If i am honest. The dspiae does bring a lot more for the money. And the cuality of tools is there. Especially if you are a traveling builder. The hobby mio is made more for static builders or beginners since it doesn't overwhelm you with a bunch of tools that you might not need at the time. It all boils down to preference. I use both nippers and other toold from these 2 kits.
Thanks for the comment!! If you take into account individual costs of tools, the dspiae set and hobbymio sets are super affordable. Suitable for beginners and builders of all levels
Nice kit
For sure.

Both nippers, after all this time, have performed very well. I recommend getting the one that better fits what you currently need.

Hello. Great reviews on the Hobby Mio and Dspiae tool kits. But can I ask, which one you would recommend more for a beginner?

Is their nipper good or bad? Which is better?
@@daviddoods6407I'm also curious about the quality of the nippers in these two sets, who knows which one has better cutting results
The dspiae nipper to me had the cleaner cut. But the difference is minimal.
