I had watched Westburg in AAA. He had a certain approach that reminded me of a train. When it is running, either get out of the way or get run over. I think he worked on finding his way in 2023 - how to do that in the big leagues with the much more advanced pitching, strategy and faster game. And now, I see that same “train” aspect again. Anytime he is at the plate, it’s like a gunshot waiting to hit the bullseye.
I personally am not shocked at all by this breakout of Westburg. Honestly what shocked me more was how much people were talking about. Oh he's going to be the odd man out. He's going to be the guy that gets traded for a pitcher. I always thought as much as I feel like we may need to move a prospect for bullpen help or starting rotation help. I never thought Westburg should be that guy simply because Westburg is that guy
I’m in the same boat . I was behind him all off season and people had no clue why , some guys pass the eye test with the IT factor .. and he’s one of them

hardy was so strong and consistent. Mora had some amazing hitting years.

Do you prefer him at 3rd or 2nd ?
Hes rock solid at either and I trust him everywhere all the time. But third and Mateo at second.
