Good Lord, the things I'd do to have this or the Troop Carrier version here in the USA, set up basically the same except left-hand drive and speedometer in MPH.
I'm not saying I'd sell my first born...but I do know some folks whose first born is just collecting dust...

@@fahhad17 the issue is that our stupid government won't allow us to import cars from other markets unless they meet the department of transportation and the environmental protection agency's regulations, unless they're 25 years old, so this is gonna be good for import until 2044 😭

    • @ObiTrev

@@isaac4273 Meanwhile, you can buy a crate-engine right now that is exactly the same as an engine made in 1965 with the exact same emissions without penalty. And yet California, and any state that subscribes to their draconian laws, says they are not emission compliant and are in fact illegal. Yet, there are hundreds of thousands of cars on the road that have never been smog checked, with drivers without licenses, that will never be arrested or fined.
This isn't about the environment. Its a penalty tax on the working class who "can pay" these ridiculous fines. It's about forcing car manufacturers to spend more and more on ever increasing (nanny state) "safety features", which only raises the price and complexity of car to make them "emission and safety compliant". All the while robbing them of power, reliability, and resale value.
A brand new carbureted 1985 Toyota pickup gets 26/31 MPG, would cost $14,685 (in today's money), and has a 25+ year lifespan. It can be abused like no other truck and still keep on truckin'. However, you can not buy any new car for under $21,000 and expect it to last more than 7 years. And with everything being computer controlled this and that, good luck finding a cheap and quick fix to your problem. Yet, California has no qualms with the, "Replace don't repair" doctrine of car repair. They are absolutely fine with millions of parts being thrown away in landfills that only even a decade ago could have been repaired by any mechanic. Oh, but they will make you pay upfront for a "recycling fee" whenever you buy a new car, raising the price another few thousand dollars.
We all want a healthy environment, and cleaner more efficient cars. However, the private sector is the ones making all the leaps and bounds in this field. Not government. Hell, California is forcing legal residents to put solar panels on their roofs, which under the rarest of circumstances have a max yield of 40%. And you don't get a single dime for the power your home has been parasitized by the state into making power. Oh, and those solar panels are so expensive and polluting to manufacture, they have to be government subsidized through tax payer dollars. And if exposed to the elements, they don't last more than ten years either. It is a scam on the American people.
This is all to say, I want that damn 2019 Toyota Landcruiser 70, and I want it now!

If you really want it you might be able to import it (probably not in Cali tho because of emissions), I think there's a company that sells these in the Netherlands specifically to be exported out of their country. They have been starting at around 31000 euros which is actually very cheap if you compare it to the new version. If I had the money I'd get one. It's definitely one of the top three off road vehicles ever made!

You've done at least THREE videos now of the new Landcruiser 70 series (one truck and two closed cab). In two of the videos you actually have the KEY in your hands while reviewing the vehicle but you neglect to START the vehicle in both cases so that we can see the accessory mode and also the startup and running of the vehicle. I suggest you learn how to start a vehicle and include that in you future videos and you might increase your viewership significantly. I am 100% positive that the dealerships will not mind you starting the vehicles (that are not on the showroom floor at least). Taking it on a test drive might be a stretch for you at this stage of your driver experience though. Maybe you haven't got your drivers license yet??
