- What an epic day on the bike! I met up with Ethan for the first time and we climbed the beast that is Mt. Wilson. After all that climbing I knew it had to be a good descent, not least because I was going to be on the wheel of one of the most talented young riders in the US. Be it road or dirt, Ethan is one of the fastest juniors, notching up national titles and podiums for road and MTB. He is also really talented in the skills department, and his love for fun on the bike is something I identify with. Thanks for the ride and the bike lessons, Ethan!

Hi Safa, you can't understand how happy these videos make me. I have little time available lately because I'm graduating in medicine and, among many commitments, I had to put aside for a while the xc which is one of my greatest passions. I watch your videos when I get home in the evening and I feel like I'm on a bike with you, my mirror neurons thank you !!

I used to be more into cars still am. But when suddenly one day i came across safa’s downhill video and got so excited, didnt even knew y could do so much exciting stuff with a cycle. I got hooked and started researching more about cycles, gears there types etc. Now im so addicted to cycling and safa’s videos.
My most favourite video of safa is the one with Dante young. It’s just perfect. 😎👍🏻

I can imagine it's more difficult to follow someone that close, than being in front. As you need to reaction to the track and also to their movements.

I love my Scott spark it’s unbelievably fast everywhere and keeps up with the road bikes around town :) looks like awesome fun!!!
Years ago I rode a trail down from the top that was marked " use at your own risk ". It was very narrow single track with a lot of off camber shit. Much more narrow than what you guys are on with some insane drop offs. Was a little nerve racking but one hell of a lot of fun.
I did this ride just last Sunday. It took me 3 1/2 hours to get up and only 30 minutes to get down. Lots of fun and worth the suffering. Good thing they had apple pie at the cafe on the top.
The Cafe was closed when we got up there 😉

Another sweet video! I really like all the manuals and nose manuals and the seat grab @19:03 is really sweet but I do worry about how much speed y'all carry and the lines y'all take into blind corners, I've noticed most every pro including in motorsports does similar but I know a safer and faster way but I think people are scared of me going pro and their paychecks possibly going down lol but like I said you could totally help me go pro I'm sure you can sense that I'm being serious lol just a shame that nobody's given me a shot yet...

I remember grinding up this toll rd. on my mtn bike, it is tuff! Rather much do it again on my gravel, to bad the trails up there are closed right now☹
Coming down on your gravel bike won't be as nice as this.
Riding my mtn. bike down was fun! Just the first time riding up was tough, I don't mind the sacrifice decending on a gravel though.
I love my Scott Addict RC road bike (the same as SAFA had last year, with yellow decals), but bought Specialized Epic Evo as this year's MTB, sorry Scott but the simplicity of Specialized wins over the Scott integration of everything :) (the bike is amazing btw)

My mom would drop us kids off at the top of Mt. Wilson in her station wagon in 1970. I was 12. We could fit 3 stingrays and 3 kids. We'd bomb the fire road and she'd bomb the crest to meet back up with us at Eaton Canyon. We were moto kids emulating Brad Lackey and Roger DeCoster. Funny how popular mountain biking became.
9.0 miles in 23.5 minutes = 23 mph (avg) = crazy fast for that route!
