    The government wasted £15 billion on substandard PPE £700 million on the Rwanda policy and 90% of this £2 Billion figure is down to DWP errors and a broken system not fraud. The former head of the DWP had millions hidden offshore.

      How much of this figure also includes the furlough scheme abuse that the then government turned a blind eye to

    A lot more money is wasted in the UK while being shown less attention. We have a strange obsession with benefit fraud, while being lenient on tax fraud, handouts to companies, corruption etc etc.

    £35 billion goes out in tax evasion, avoidance and errors but lets focus on the £2 billion taken by the poor🙄. They've obviously missec the fact that the show is in the morning so their viewers clearly aren't at work.

    This value is so small when put against the amount of funds that big corps and very wealthy individuals are hiding from the tax man.
    Some guy on a council estate claiming £10 is much less inportant to me than some billionaire hiding his assets oversea, cand stealing tax money from the tax man of a million or two.

    I only claimed for things I needed after contracting flesh-eating disease. I was rejected, no one told me you always get rejected and have to appeal. so I didn't.
    You don't know anything. -- only reason I got anything (eventually) was that I sent a picture of a giant hole in my hip after 7 debridement surgeries to a caseworker at the Local DWP.
    when I tried to get help for the severe depression I suffered after being released from the hospital, and being homeless for a year, I was treated like a scammer. Never appealed that and never got it., or any help at all. I had to learn to walk again entirely by myself. It took me four years,.

    • @McSab
      @McSab 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That's awful. But unfortunately unsurprising! The claims process for any kind of benefits or support is a massive barrier for the majority of people. Reams upon reams of pages and one wrong tick in the wrong box and denied. The system is supposed to be one of support but it seems it's built to fail, it's one of cruelty instead. Hope you are recovering as well as can be, despite the awful 'safety net' failing you so badly.
