The only problem is that we have many organisations and campaigners that queue up to push for increased benefits. It is not a simple thing to just stop money going out without a political or legal problem being raised by people that scream poverty and discrimination. If we had a Government that gave lifetime bans for benefits payments to convicted benefits fraudsters, it might help, but no politician would ever run or be elected on that. There is an underlying reason that we have gone from having small benefits payments in the 80's/90's to in work benefits payments and childcare (state run nanny service) that we have today.

I was actually shocked after working all my life and paying the equivalent of a detached house in tax that you only get £384 per month! With the cost of living it’s impossible to live on it. That doesn't change the fact that we pay out more in benefits than we ever have, employers are basically using the system to subsidise the low wages they pay and the childcare providers are inflating their prices because they know the benefits system pays out.

In Australia you can't just claim benefits if you haven't paid any tax. It's a much better system. The amount received is very small, however it's also really difficult to get disability allowance even after years of disability. The only people who get help fairly quickly are single mothers.
@@gillbrooks4999 me and my wife looked into moving to Australia in the late 80s and either had to have a guaranteed job for 5 years or put a lot of money into a bank over there, then if unemployed we would have to live off that money. It was the same for Canada as well. We both had good jobs but in the end we decided to stay in the UK .

Because, Eastern European think differently. Our mentality is different, all is checked, no copies, no expired passport or a utility bill as an ID and so forth. The naivity in the UK is shocking! I cannot use my Slovak passport in the UK, my ID is the document as Passport is for travelling. My best friend has been diagnosed with cancer. He has worked since he was 16, he is now 58 and is unable to work any length of time because the cancer is so exhausting. 12 weeks after applying for UC he has yet to receive a penny but is being asked for more and more proof he is unwell, despite providing GP and Consultant letters. Since 2010 DWP hired private assessment agency to assess benefit claim forms & payments by sacking a lit of their benefit claims & payment assessing years of we'll trained, experienced years if employees. Such 6000 false identities placed for fake benefit claims by 5 Bulgarian scammers easily got approved by DWP as per 6000 false & fradulent ID claims would have been assessed as genuine benefit claims by DWP hired private assessment agency employees of ATOS - perhaps a group of agency employees getting own huge commission money from Bulgarian scammers for getting 6000 false ID benefit payments through as genuine claims assessments through DWP. Whoever assessed such 6000 false ID benefit claims actually helped the Bulgarian scam gang to fraud and steal UK's finances. So whoever assessed such fraud ID benefit applications within UK needs to be thoroughly investigated by UK police dept. Whoever authorised to pay benefits into 6000 false ID user 5 Bulgarians bank accounts should be investigated thoroughly by Police. All such benefit claims & benefit assessors bank accounts and personal assets needs to be checked on. My 24 year old son has an MCI Error on his Government Gateway account, he's been on PAYE since he was 16. After 9 attempted phone calls (waiting for over 40 minutes each time) he finally got through to HMRC and they THINK he may have two national insurance numbers but the system can't automatically detect that. They're supposedly calling him back within two weeks. No call received as yet. The whole system is f*cked.
I agree. I know of someone who has a share in a racehorse and not working on the benefit system. How many times does DWP investigate. The mother of the daughter said they were looking at another pony for her son. Benefit pays well for the keeping of horses.

As a worker and tax payer since leaving the education system some 27 years ago, every month I look at my payslip online and see how much is deducted in income tax and national insurance and think "I would like to know what % of that is actually wasted". Only earlier today I said to my partner "I bet the vast majority is wasted and that's why we have the highest tax burden in living memory and yet we have potholes everywhere, full hospitals, full prisons etc and sinking Sunak does nothing.
The simple way to avoid Benefits fraud , is when being interviewed, to make your claim, signing, on , Signature not good enough , Must be fingerprint , if you have nothing to hide , you would gladly , do it
It took me nine years after getting ill before I even got diagnosed with a debilitating heart condition. Eleven years by the time I managed to get PIP. Now, I'm barely able to move and still had to go through the ringer to get the basic amount of Daily Living Allowance from an accessor who claimed I have "great upper body strength" because I can SOMETIMES lever MYSELF up off the bog if I'm having a good day. Then again, I was born in England and made the mistake of being honest.
The solution is very very simple. When you apply for universal credit you have to attend an appointment where you show your photo ID so how have they not checked them properly on 6000 people? That is where the failing is and it’s very simple to fix

This is still going on full scale in Medway Towns. I done a boot fair their weekend gone and l was completely shocked the size of rolled up notes some of these new comers to UK were getting out their pockets. I mean massive rolled up wad of notes. Meanwhile they were very aggressive with trying to buy of my stall insisting l take literally peanuts for vintage brass items and the like. Till in the end l put this stock back in my van. Situation was getting out of hand. I will never forget these people's faces but that's all everyones taxes in their greedy pockets. The most recent investigation revealed zero grade in regards to PIP. Have you any idea the hoops people go through to be awarded it? It is incredibly difficult and takes years in many cases. The UK government has now stated to check bank accounts but these people had huge sums of cash. For foreign benefit caimants there has to be a different system such as checking passports for travel and foreigners out of the country for mre than 4 weeks has benefits immediately stopped. I seem to remember Channel 4 did a show a few years back about EU foreigners working in the UK then claiming benefits, one Polish man claiming disability for his son and carers allowance for his wife both of whom had never set foot in the UK.

What they are not telling you is that if it were not for the Bulgarian Police the DWP would not have been none the wiser. All the DWP staff that passed these claims should be suspended.
My best friend has been diagnosed with cancer. He has worked since he was 16, he is now 58 and is unable to work any length of time because the cancer is so exhausting. 12 weeks after applying for UC he has yet to receive a penny but is being asked for more and more proof he is unwell, despite providing GP and Consultant letters.
This is typical of the U.K.

Since 2010 DWP hired private assessment agency to assess benefit claim forms & payments by sacking a lit of their benefit claims & payment assessing years of we'll trained, experienced years if employees. Such 6000 false identities placed for fake benefit claims by 5 Bulgarian scammers easily got approved by DWP as per 6000 false & fradulent ID claims would have been assessed as genuine benefit claims by DWP hired private assessment agency employees of ATOS - perhaps a group of agency employees getting own huge commission money from Bulgarian scammers for getting 6000 false ID benefit payments through as genuine claims assessments through DWP.
Whoever assessed such 6000 false ID benefit claims actually helped the Bulgarian scam gang to fraud and steal UK's finances. So whoever assessed such fraud ID benefit applications within UK needs to be thoroughly investigated by UK police dept. Whoever authorised to pay benefits into 6000 false ID user 5 Bulgarians bank accounts should be investigated thoroughly by Police. All such benefit claims & benefit assessors bank accounts and personal assets needs to be checked on. No way 6000 false ID benefit claims can get through for benefit payments unless insiders within DWP or DWP hired assessment agency had helped such scammers for own selfish reasons.
Unless the entire lot of British people strictly demand politicians to place a police investigation on those who assessed 6000 false ID benefit applications - no action will be taken by the govt. or any political party leaders.
My 24 year old son has an MCI Error on his Government Gateway account, he's been on PAYE since he was 16. After 9 attempted phone calls (waiting for over 40 minutes each time) he finally got through to HMRC and they THINK he may have two national insurance numbers but the system can't automatically detect that. They're supposedly calling him back within two weeks. No call received as yet. The whole system is f*cked.
I agree. I know of someone who has a share in a racehorse and not working on the benefit system. How many times does DWP investigate. The mother of the daughter said they were looking at another pony for her son. Benefit pays well for the keeping of horses.

As a worker and tax payer since leaving the education system some 27 years ago, every month I look at my payslip online and see how much is deducted in income tax and national insurance and think "I would like to know what % of that is actually wasted".
Only earlier today I said to my partner "I bet the vast majority is wasted and that's why we have the highest tax burden in living memory and yet we have potholes everywhere, full hospitals, full prisons etc and sinking Sunak does nothing.
The simple way to avoid Benefits fraud , is when being interviewed, to make your claim, signing, on , Signature not good enough , Must be fingerprint , if you have nothing to hide , you would gladly , do it

It took me nine years after getting ill before I even got diagnosed with a debilitating heart condition. Eleven years by the time I managed to get PIP. Now, I'm barely able to move and still had to go through the ringer to get the basic amount of Daily Living Allowance from an accessor who claimed I have "great upper body strength" because I can SOMETIMES lever MYSELF up off the bog if I'm having a good day. Then again, I was born in England and made the mistake of being honest.

The solution is very very simple. When you apply for universal credit you have to attend an appointment where you show your photo ID so how have they not checked them properly on 6000 people? That is where the failing is and it’s very simple to fix

This is still going on full scale in Medway Towns. I done a boot fair their weekend gone and l was completely shocked the size of rolled up notes some of these new comers to UK were getting out their pockets. I mean massive rolled up wad of notes. Meanwhile they were very aggressive with trying to buy of my stall insisting l take literally peanuts for vintage brass items and the like. Till in the end l put this stock back in my van. Situation was getting out of hand. I will never forget these people's faces but that's all everyones taxes in their greedy pockets. If you were running a company their is no way you would employ them 🤬

The recent figures for PIP fraud found not one case. Do you even know what PIP is for & how it is awarded? Because I have seen thousands of those cases & you are completely incorrect.
The most recent investigation revealed zero grade in regards to PIP. Have you any idea the hoops people go through to be awarded it? It is incredibly difficult and takes years in many cases. I have seen thousands of these cases. If you have details of fraud I suggest you forward their details to the DWP for investigation.

This is just the tip of an iceburg! The same is happening with Polish, Romanian, Pakistan, African and Asian people. The UK government has now stated to check bank accounts but these people had huge sums of cash. For foreign benefit caimants there has to be a different system such as checking passports for travel and foreigners out of the country for mre than 4 weeks has benefits immediately stopped. I seem to remember Channel 4 did a show a few years back about EU foreigners working in the UK then claiming benefits, one Polish man claiming disability for his son and carers allowance for his wife both of whom had never set foot in the UK.

If you want to apply for anything in Eastern Europe, all is in person and you have to have a valid ID! All is being checked, not in the UK 😢😢😢😢
The system is too complex to manage and too much money is passing through this system. Evidence that people have paid into the system is a starting point for receiving any benefits.

I have on camera that DWP assessors do not check evidence when it’s given to them. They can even stop your payment if they believe your evidence is misleading and or forged ……. Again….. without checking!!!!!!!!
