Skills don't have better chances of mutating into magic mastery, every rank 8 has the same chance, it works more like, by inheriting the highest weight skills (high weight = skills have more chance mutating into them, in my case brave blade and almighty amp) you completely remove that factor and indirectly skyrocket your chances of getting magic mastery! It works pretty much the same, but my wording can throw some people off.
I'm still confused The weights I understand, but what are the adjusted weights? They can't be percentages, as the total adds up to more than 100% Additionally, what if you are fusing two personas from two different packs? Which pack gets prioritized? I'm trying to get Almighty Amp and I'm having a rough time translating the calculator
you wanna focus on the "simple weight combiner" page, and just put the pack there, then whichever number is highest in column "I" that's what you inherit (make sure for them to be rank 8 skills)@@kemosonicfan123lbp

But when I come back to this game for The Answer, I literally cannot explain enough how SUBSTANTIAL these changes in odds are. Transferring 4-6 skills all with a 25% +, I repeat, TWENTY FIVE PERCENT PLUS chance of changing into magic mastery is fucking INCREDIBLE!!!! I literally cannot thank you a enough, I will subscribe, like and share this video to my whole family (also huge SMT fans) so we can all get this skill far easier. I repeat, from an SMT veteran who knew there had to be some secret mechanics regarding skill changes, THANK YOU!!!

@@Megidolaon999 ok so here goes long explanation it's more accurate to say 1/200, to 1/400 it depends assuming they're the same skill, any skill is equally likely as any other to become magic mastery the reason which one it is matters is because some skills have higher weights, so if Magic Mastery is a 1.3/x then removing the higher weight skills means a smaller x For example, in my case by inheriting brave blade and almighty amp, I completely eliminate the chances of other skills mutating into them, which massively helps because they're the most common mutation for devil + priesstess rank 8 skills. you probably saw the weights themselves, and thought they were percentage chances not realizing it wasn't out of 100 and also not realizing that the weights were for "the odds that said skill is the result itself" rather than the odds that the source skill becomes magic mastery
My advice is to compare different arcana combinations in the mutations calculator. For example, hermit and fool = priestess, but also priestess and priestess = priestess. But the former only contains rank 8 skills with 21% spawn probability maximum, while the latter shows 2 skills with 35%. These are the ones that interest you to pass in fusion in order to boost your chances for MM. I was successful immediately when I took this into account.

Since you need diamond dust on goemon, that ends up there's only 3 rank 8 skills that must be mutated making the chances even more worse. I'm about to give, been trying for 4 days, Same path fusion as your video since I looked it up in the calc, passing these rank 8 skills: Diamond dust, Brave blade, God's hand and Almighty amp. LMAO I see Morning star and Heavens blade mutated too many times now.

Ok, I'm not 100% sure about this, so I want to make sure. Basically, fusing Personas from Packs 3, 5, and 6 and inheriting skills of ranks 7 and 8 will give a chance of one of them turning into Magic Mastery, with rank 7 skills being a 0.3% and rank 8 being 1.3% chance of turning into Magic Mastery. At least, that's what I saw on the calculator. Is that right?

I was at it for two weeks straight and to no avail, giving it one of every Severe spell, Morning Star, other high tier skills like Arms/Spell Master, Firm Stance, Ali Dance, even Magic Ability in the vain hopes that could mutate into Magic Mastery, but nothing worked at all
if I remember correctly Orpheus telos can't get magic mastery at all, for some reason some packs are locked out of being in the magic mastery mutation pool, I would suggest another persona to get it
it's kinda primitive at the time, and i couldn't copy the calculator myself to try and experiment another stuff, what i would suggest is try fusing pack 6 + pack 6 personas and inherit brave blade, almighy amp, god's hand and megidolaon

the calculator itself i think it's not ready for more than dyad fusions, but it's actually easier to get magic mastery on special fusions
