Thanks! I try to make it as simple as possible. TH-cam is a great place to learn new stuff. I'm happy to be a part of it.
Yeah me too
Bro I am your future fan
This is the best instructional video I have seen on TH-cam. Clear instructions. Calm voice. No music or speed up action. This is how instruction videos should be done.
Thankyou so much for posting this video, you just saved my daughters tablet, and me a massive repair bill.
jason hanslip Thanks! Glad I could help!
@@JerryRigEverything hey jerry i need a mobile for online studying please help me..

My wife's Tab died, so googled the problem and came across this video. No long winded intro, gets right into disassembling the unit.
What I needed was a way to reset the battery, was able to accomplish that after watching him take the back off. Very helpful.
Glad I could help! I have made it a priority to keep things very 'to the point' in my videos.

im sorry i must be blind, do you have a link for a battery
Jerry, thank you very much for your explanations. It helped me out, my battery cable has been partially unplugged (don’t know how this can happen; as a result I fought against the annoying "black-screen-of-death"). But finally, I was able to repair my tablet with the information given by your video - thank you. :-)
Absolutely great!! My daughter at 6 jammed the USB , and i now try to fix without going bankrupt. In Norway this repair cost as much as the device itself. I hope that i find the part on your link. Thanks! I really appriciate people like you!
I hope you were able to figure everything out. Good luck!
Thanks to you, I do not have replace my Tab 3 with a new one. Problem fixed. Your instructions are crystal clear. I am definitely subscribing to your channel. I am still blown away on how easy you made it to fix my Tab.
Thank you for watching! Im glad you were able to get it figured out.
Great job, Easy to follow, and love that you also show how brackets go back in place.
Thanks for your videos.
Thank you so much!! I was able to get my wife's locked up Tab 3 7.0 (Christmas gift, had been used for 4 days - WTF!) to restart with your help (access the battery so I could remove the connector for a while). No other key combinations would help, I even tried the hard restore volume up + power. This worked perfectly, and all data remained intact!
Nice! I am glad I could help.
I have the same problem with my children's Tab 3. They totally dies when battery is empty. Sometimes they restart with a reset, but not every time. Sometimes it takes days for it to work. I will also try this.
thanks, that was very well done, you have a gift for explaining things and work well with your hands, keep up the great job helping people! :)
Genius! Thanks so much for sharing this video. You just saved me 2 weeks of waiting to have my tablet fixed! I've already sent it once for this problem "we couldn't find anything wrong with your device". After reading some forums, sounds like this is a common problem when the battery completely drains, which my kids do often. I'm actually surprised this has only happened twice. I didn't have the tool you were using, but your multiple references to Legos made me think of our Lego separating tool, which worked perfectly! Thanks again. Hopefully it will charge tonight and I won't have to replace the battery.
Michelle Lynott Hopefully your repair worked!
Yes, it did! Thanks again. I so appreciate you taking your time to post these helpful videos.
Thank you SO much!!! My tablet got really beat up and wouldn't work at all, so I figured I'd try this... and somehow... it fixed it! Thanks again! :D
My son's Samsung Tablet SM-T210R, was used until the recharge icon started blinking. It was plugged into charger (2.1 amp) overnight and next morning it was dead. Nothing else worked to bring it back to life. I opened it up using the instructions given here and disconnected the battery for 5 minutes. Plugged it back and it started charging again. Thank you Jerry for the very clear instructions.
Superb! Good job, and thanks a lot for sharing the problem and solution.
You're a life saver. Showing how to open this tablet up got me to where I needed (snapped of a headphone jack in the plug). Thanks!
No problem! Glad I could help out.
We couldn't locate the charger cord for my daughter's GT3 for a few days, so of course the battery died. When we found the cord this morning and tried to charge it, nothing happened. After much frantic googling and resigning myself to having to reset the battery, I came upon your super simple instructions. Actually, I found your video after I'd already pried the white back off with what little fingernails I have and a guitar pick, lol. Thrilled to say that after following your video, the little tab is happily charging along! Thank you so much!
Nice! lol, glad I could help! Try not to let the battery die all the way this time.
Thank you so much for posting this! I actually didn't need to replace my battery, just disconnect the battery cord and reconnect it. But this video really helped me find where everything was in order to fix it. If it weren't for this video, I would've cluelessly paid someone to fix it.
Jessica Baptiste Yes! I'm always happy when I can help people keep money in their own pockets.
Thanks Jerry. Appreciate you taking the time to make this vid. Wasn't looking forward to sending the unit back .. thanks to you, i now don't have to : )
Glad I could help you out!
Thank you for this video. I had to use a plastic knife as a wedge but it was an emergency for me. My 3 year old took it into the bath when i wasn't looking. I think the battery wont ever charge again but it seems to work and I was able to get the battery out fairly fast. The links will be useful too. I put the components in rice to absorb the most water that can be absorbed.
Thank you for this video! It's very helpful! Do you know where I can buy the back of the tab? Black back (or may be it's very dark brown) with rose gold color lice
Followed your instructions, reset the battery and it worked like a charm. Thank you for your help!
Nice! Glad I could help.
Thank you! Removing and re-attaching the battery fixed my "dead" tab 3.
Nice! Way to go.
Thanks for the video! My daughters tab 3 wouldn't start up for a week, then did, but was not charging, (showing 1% even after charging all l night,) I read on xda a few things others did to fix the issue. Watched your video, I popped the tab open, only detached the battery connector for 5 minutes or so, (I didn't have to take the battery out) then re-attached the battery connector and the tab started right up, battery is reading 93% like it should ( and I factory reset it for good measure because of Google play issues) the tablet is now working normally again, & my kid is happy.
Nice! Thanks for letting me know it worked out for you. I am glad I could help.
Hi if i only wanted to change the charging port would i need to take the mother board out or just undo the two screws located above the port ? thanks Jamie
Dude ,, THANK YOU !!! My Tab 3 ( actually it's my son's ) had the issue where it will not charge and while searching forums I came across this video. In the description it explained to unplug the battery ( using your video as reference ) and plug it back in. My Tab 3 is now FIXED, for nothing but a bit of my time. Good stuff. Since I didn't have the tool you were using I used a guitar pick to pry it open, worked just fine.
Attitude49th Awesome! Glad I could help out! I bet your son is way happy about you fixing it for him.
Oh.....never thought about using a guitar pick....could have saved 15 bucks...oh well - I will use it down the road sometime.
Attitude49th, Did you use a soft, medium or stiff guitar pick. Presently I only have a soft pick. Great idea dude/dudess ;) ;)
ummm .73 MM I I guess that's at least medium.
Thank you so much for your tutorial. My sons tab wouldn't charge, so we were advised to pop it open and unattach then reattach the battery. I came across your video and followed the steps I needed, safe to say the tab is now charging as we speak. Thanks again.
Gina Pike NICE! Glad I could help!
:)
Jerry, I didn't see parts list, I am going to need ac female plug in. This video rocked. Thanks
It's cool. Thank you for this video. Now, my mobile is started to get worming. I will be so grateful if someone can share any information that can help me fix it out!
This was fantastic. I thought my tab 3 7.0(which is only a couple months old) was broken as it wasnt charging. All I ended up needing to do was remove the back of the tablet, pop out the battery connector and then pop it back in again, snap the back of the tablet back on, put my charger in and then it started charging again. Cheers for the help dude, much appreciated
Heck yes! Easy repairs are the best repairs. Thanks for watching my videos!

Looking for replacement speakers and possiblr a hoke button for this same unit. I don't see a link for them and didn't find any when I searched for them on the links provided
Missing your helpful videos like this 💚
omg I just tried this now and it worked bless your soul son
Hi Jerry, thanks for the video. My unit has a broken USB jack. Is it replaceable?
Hello i have the glaxay 3, i the video what was the name of the tool that u open the tablet? My head phone jack just stopped working
Thank you so much. I have just fixed my sons galaxy tab thanks to your video and a £2 kit from ebay. Keep up the good work. I've subscribed so I can check out what else you can fix :)
Nice! I am glad I was able to help you out.
Hi Jerry, thanks for sharing this video! I've learned now how to disassemble and re-assemble parts you've talked about in the video. By the way, do you know of a web site where I can just buy the OEM Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 SM-T310 LCD only? After attempting to remove a cracked touch screen, I've found that the LCD was also cracked. Now, I have a new touch screen with no LCD. If it is possible to buy just the LCD, what other things I have to keep in mind during installation? I appreciate your advise and direction. Thanks so much!
Hello, I do not have any sounds on my galaxy tab3, do you think I have to change the speakers knowing that it works with headphones ?
Thank u sir for d information..
So do I need 2 replace my lcd??????
Jerry my galaxy tablet 3 doesnt always awake screen when I hit the power or home button. After getting angry I smacked the back of the tablet and then the screen awakes. What can be the reason for this? Is something lose back there, so that when I smack it it then lights up?
Thanks for the instructions, it was very helpful!
It's weird how little information and documentation there is on the web about the Galaxy Tab 3. I tried to change the rom for my Tab, but there isn't all that much work put in the roms yet, so I preferred to stay with the original. It's a pity.
I accidentally wiped the system files, bricking my device, do you know how to fix? (Model SM-T210)
Do you happen to know which one of those connectors or components is the gps antenna/receiver?
It worked just fine, just a question the duc tape on the battery connector is a particular one or you can just use any kind?
Thank you very much. That's great.
Have you had the problem of the new digitizer not working after replacing it? this has happened to me two times and after my new second digitizer it didnt work.
any idea if the Tab 3 10.1 is the same? I'm trying to replace a digitizer only. Already did it for the ipad 2 and it appears to be very similar just wondering
what tool did you use in the beginning to open up the back casing?
Do you know if changing the speakers would correct this? It only happens when using the phone, not while listening to music. It is the same even if I use head phones. Thank you.
I broke the charging port on mine. any links to a good source? thanks. great videos!
hey! so my tab3 wont charge or turn on...should note it had some water damage, i was just wondering if this would be an easy fix or if i should just take it in to get fixed
Thanks a lot. Straight to the point and very helpful!
No problem. Thanks for watching!
Hi Jerry,
Great video, thanks. I have the same issue as one of your other subscribers below. I need to replace the charging jack on the tablet. Can you help direct me to where I can purchase the part and advise how to replace with the new part? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Gregory B.
do you happen to have a link for a logic board for the tab 3 7.0?
Great video! Thank you!
Hi Jerry
Just wanted to know my tab 3 won't charge any more. The charger port is broken. Would you show how to replace it. Or can I change the whole mother board since the port is attached to it. Where can I get the mother board. Thanks for the video very helpful.
are there more powerful/better speakers/battery/cameras that are available to mod the tab 3 7"? great video. thanks for sharing.
Not yet. There are surprisingly hardly ANY replacement parts for this tablet. It is hard to find anything at all.
Hey man. I'm sitting on an old tab 3 lite, and I was wondering whether it is in fact possible to upgrade the hardware in any way to make it faster. Or am i stuck in using lineage and hope for the best, waiting untill the thing is obsolete?
Thanks Jerry. Good instructions, easy to follow.
No problem! Glad I could help you out.
What type of screws are used in this tablet because i have lost 2 out of 4 of the screws you showed in this video ?? And one more thing what to do when the tablet has auto touch problem ??
Thank you very much. This was a big help. My Tab 3 was dead and not charging or anything. With your direction I was able to take the back cover off and unconnect the battery then reconnect it. now it is charging again.
Nice! Ya, Its definitely good to know how to do. I am glad you got it fixed.
what tools do you used to open the cases? I don't have any tools here. can u suggest something?
Hi there my friend where I can find the charging por for the same tablet
Oh wow, learning from you is fun.
BRILLIANT THANKS PAL
video was a great help thanks a bunch
Thank you for this video, very helpful when my screen went black,
Great video.
Is it possible to replace the USB port on a galaxy tab3?
Am having charging issues. Seem to have to jiggle the cord in order to get juice. It seems loose too. I recently replaced the USB port on my Note 2 and it was very simple and fixed my phone which wouldn't charge at all. The tab 3 has much different components and I can't find much info online about replacing that. Is it soldered to the motherboard or does it pop in and out? I have found parts, but it's just the small metal port with nothing else. Much different from my phone. Can you shed any light? Tab 3 will charge, it is just spotty and sometimes an overnight charge only brings it to 80%. I'm trying to stay ahead of the problem, since my phone repair was so easy. Thanks.
thank you! you helped me very much it was detailed great vid!
Thank you for watching, I am glad I could help.
Great video. Do you know if that tablet has connections available for connecting a wireless charger chip similar to the ones available for the SGS3? How would you mod the Tab 3 7.0 for wireless charging?
That is outside my realm at the moment. Let us know if you figure anything out though.
Hey Zack do you know where I can get a motherboard for this model?
AHHH! Omg, yay. I was freaking out!!! I've been up since 5am, and it's now 7:35am, trying to figure out what in the hell was wrong! Now I just hope the back cover goes back on & I didn't mess it up!
Nice! I hope it works.
Very concise and smooth. Thanks for that
Patrick Schoonmaker No problem! I like keeping things short and to the point.
hey jerry rig everything I was wondering to say if you wanted to switch the camera from a note to into a tab three would it be possible, I have all the extra parts from old Note 2 and wondering what parts I could change say the camera on the front facing rear facing, etc.
I tried to switch cameras from a GS4 and a Note2 one time and they weren't interchangeable. I really doubt the Tab3 would be able to do it either.
great video many thanks for this
thanks for the the walk through worked like a champ!!!
Nice! Glad I could help!
How hard is it to replace the USB port? I do have some soldering experience.
Hi, I see you made the steps to pull the digitizer off, and I would like to know if I have to heat it and them remove it and place the new one and that is all?
Yup. That is it. But... Doing it successfully is very hard. Even I end up breaking most of the ones I attempt. Good Luck! Let me know how it goes.
so i got my tablet working but now some of the spots on the touch screen don't work, not cracked or discolored, just wont let me press in certain spots, what do you think might be the problem?
Is anyone know will front face camera from S tablet be compatible with tab 4? I was thinking to ''update'' my tab 4. Both cameras has same number of pins and socket looks the same. Tab S camera is 2.1Mp compare to 1.3Mp on tab 4. On e-bay its easy to find at good price. Will it work? Thanks :)
i wonder if i can change the gpu or add some so i can perform 3d games. Is it possible?
Could you please do a video of the 8.inches one since you do it so goodand nicely. ?
any idea where the ram is on this? is it upgradable ? other than the micro sd card.
Hi, I recently change my battery because my tablet was not working. I have been hearing buzzing noises with my headphone jack when i have the earphones plug in while charging ... I thought when i changed battery the charging and headphone jack problem would stop . However, only the battery problem was solve. So, do you think I would need to charge headphone jack now.... or is it the motherboard ... because unplug it works fine except one time it buzzed today .
Hello I wonder if the touch screen samsung 7 inch tab 3 T210R model is compatible with the T210 touch screen????
At the 4:30 mark, you mentioned replacing the whole unit. Were you referring to the screen and LCD? Where can I find that?
got a video for the Glass only?
ont this Tablet?
I have a question my tab 3 head phone jack works and then it doesn't any answers on that if you could help.
My screen froze up on lock screen I did a factory reset still didn't unfreeze everything was still functioning it seemed but the slide. I didn't have security pattern or anything but had it plugged in using it when it died on me then after I charged it up that freeze was there. Ok so thats the background of how I found your videos which are fabulous btw...If I was to open n take battery out then put back in would it unfreeze that screen and allow me to open tablet to resume using it again? Sorry for such a long post would love a resolution other than sending off.
Hi Jerry.. how do I get an lcd for Samsung Galaxy tab Pro 8.4. Mine looks perfect from the outside but when turned on there is like a black ribbon to the left side. Brand new and a little hit with something damaged lcd I guess but the glass is perfect.
Merci beaucoup
Have a bent/broken charger port. Where can I get the part? Galaxy tab 3.0 7"
Thanks in advance
Hello! excellent video! I have a samsung galaxy tab 3 t210r that has a failure with the warm pixels, you believe that changing the screen of a model t210 civil servant? I imagine that if since in hardware they are the same thing
thanks helped me take mine apart to sell parts after i broke digitizer and didnt want to buy a replacement part
Thanks a lot 👏 💞 very needful
This video is awesome I love it I hope I get the gift!love you guys!
Great instructions and walk through, however having done an iPad 2 digitizer replacement, I chose to move on to the next step to separate the digitizer from the LCD. Perhaps others have had bad luck, but the with a heat gun and a spudger tool, this process is quite simple and, in my experience, successful, and as said before easier than replacing the iPad 2 screen.
If I remember correctly, the ipad 2 and the LCD are not glued together, and are easier to separate. This tablet has the LCD and digitizer glued together, and is very very difficult to separate.
I disagree, the ipad uses a double sided tape to adhere the digitizer to the LCS screen. With a heat gun and an appropriate tool, both seperate quite easily.
Bought a new battery, changed it pretty swiftly. Only issue, after I fully charge it the tablet won't turn on. Do I have to charge it for 12-24 hours? Or is it just a dud? (Display for battery charging worked great though)
TIA!
You're awesome thank you soo much you just made my day
Glad I could help! Thank you for watching.
Hi i have a custion i have a galxy tab 3 10.1 and my toddler messup the charging port is it possible to replace it ?? I justbought my table 4 months ago :( ill appreciate ur help thank u
Could you post a link for where to buy those non-marking pry tools? I have tried a couple different ones but with poor results (mostly the pry tools breaking and chipping especially when I used them on my samsung tab 3)
talitha deleon Are you talking about the red one? I have looked for YEARS on where to buy them. I finally gave in and am having someone manufacture some for me in china. Ill be getting a few thousand in to sell on Amazon, Ill probably be up and running in a month or so. (It is a long process.) Shoot me an email and Ill send you one for free when they get here. (email can be found on the 'about' page of my channel.

Not that I've seen...
