Great demo....I have never been comfortable taking apart anything but I decided to at least give my DEAD T310 a try...
Tried everything to get her to charge/turn on; it still doesn't work but at least I am less anxious about opening up something and perhaps repairing it myself....thanks....

does the new Display LCD screen it comes with a flex cable to connect on the motherboard? on the tab 3 sm-t210? my touch digitizer and LDC Screen broken and the cable from the screen to motherboard was also torn in it and it needs to be completely replaced is ordered parts but I'm not sure if it comes with it

Great detail. Question. My TAB3 screen stopped respondong to touch controls last week. I can see and hear the tablet working , but cannot access any screenn controls. I did the usual reboots, system wipes, replaced the digiter screen (twice), and reflashed the firmware using ODIN. Still no respoinse. Is it possible for the LCD to provide images but malfunction to touch controls? Any suggestions? Thanks

The touchscreen (digitizer) and the LCD display are glued but they are two different spare parts.
About your problem. You have already gone through the display assembly replacement and reflashing the firmware. This means that the problem is in the motherboard.
With a magnifying glass check the digitizer connector on the main board and the small elements around the connector. The lines from the connector goes directly to the CPU.
Explain us the history of the problem, maybe this can help us for the diagnose.
Hi. And thanks for the quick response. This is a TAB3 SM-217A for AT&T, but they are all similar. I bought the tab at a flea market but it had a cracked screen. I bought the digitizer screen and replaced it. All worked fine. Then last week the touch screen controls stopped working out of the blue. I didn't drop it, etc. It just stopped being responsive to touch. I had a pass code set but I could not enter anything to unlock it. The screen was there and fine, but locked ... waiting for a pass code. The screen rotates and I could hear emails arriving and notifications updating in the background. I just couldn't access touch controls.
I tried the usual cold and warm boots by holding down the power key. No luck. I booted into bootloader mode and did a system wipe and factory reset. Nothing, except I lost all my settings.
I thought it was the digitizer screen again, so I bought another - different supplier. This did not change anything. I still had no touch controls.
Next I tried loading the factory image via ODIN 3.10 and still no luck.
The ribbon cable for the digitizer screen seems well seated. I did not see anything else obvious. I disconnected the battery ribbon cable and it also seemed OK.
Are there other cables or ideas you can suggest? Is it the LCD itself or a MB? I'm not sure what the expense or challenge is to swap those out but I don't want to spend too much more repairing an older tab. :-) Is there a way of porting into this device without using the touch screen? Thoughts?

The problem can be:
1. Software - factory reset or reflsh will fix the problem (you have already done this).
2. Touch screen - you have already tried another one (less likely to be defective).
3. MB problem, you can fix this only if the problem is with the connector or around it. You can not do anything more.
I think the problem is with the board.

can i just ask you where do you live because i have the exactly same tablet as you and less damage but the glass is broken and i have lines and stuff on the display. i cant use the tablet but everything else is alright except for the display. i was wondering if i could send it in to you for repair?

The model in this video is SM-T310.
- I replaced the Display assembly or Touch screen + LCD assembly.
- The tools you can find like "plastic opening tools". The long black tools is plastic spudger.
- Phillips screwdriver #00.
- To warm the glass I use hot air station but for this job you can use hair dryer.

The touch screen glass and the LCD are glued, if any of them is broken you have to change a full display assembly, touch screen + LCD, like in this video.
If I replace the LCD screen, would the tablet reset and delete everything I had?

i have a tab 4 8.0 tablet i cane hear when it start and when i touch the screen but its still black i have removed the battery before that i did a complet wipe of info now what should i do

First try a factory reset (to be sure there are not a SW problem). Of course safe you important data first.
Next, disassemble the tablet and reconnect the touch screen flex cable.
Finally, if the first two steps are not helpful, you have to change the display assembly - touch screen & LCD, because they are glued.

SM-T310 is Wi-Fi only variant.
SM-T311 and SM-T315 have SIM card slot for GSM voice communication.
The disassembly procedure is almost the same
About the display assembly, they look the same but in the list of vendors they are separately (SM-T310 and SM-T311/T315).

sigh watching this on my broken inky screen my tablet still work but the ink is bad so watching this was interesting especially with a broke inky screen im still not 100% shure. i can even fix my own screen know any legit super good shops that can solve my issue that cheep but still 100% satisfaction garentien smh dont mind the spell errors cant see very well on this cracked inky screen. but advice be mutch appreciated thanks

You can try to reconnect the display flex cable, otherwise you have to replace the display assembly (LCD display + touch screen module).
