You are so right even around me growing up I always heard things like "what kind of a man he is if he doesnt earn" or the typical "dont cry like a girl" (my mum and dad still say this to my brother) and its so damn frustrating that they dont see whats wrong with saying these things. Patriarchy truely does stop men from living most of them are always away for work and they have to earn for wife and children and also their parents which is VERY stressful. Your point of the fathers not being able to watch their children grow up, literally made me cry, because even my father was not able to see me and my sister grow up. Now he's about to get retired from his job and we are just about to start our careers, no matter how much we try, we'll not be able to bring back the time and spend it with him (although this was because of a different reason but still) I can't imagine how he must be feeling about this, we atleast have our mother here for us , but he doesn't have anyone over there (he lives in a different state) . I really miss the time when we used to stay together like a true happy family😖. I wish I could just go back in time and then stop it forever. 😢

Toxicity exists everywhere, similarly certain feminists are toxic, I'm sure they don't define true feminism. Let feminism work for women's rights and some other ideology or other groups of people (like MRAs) work for men's rights. This can happen peacefully.

Now he's about to get retired from his job and we are just about to start our careers, no matter how much we try, we'll not be able to bring back the time and spend it with him (although this was because of a different reason but still) I can't imagine how he must be feeling about this, we atleast have our mother here for us , but he doesn't have anyone over there (he lives in a different state) . In my family : my dadaji cooks ( they live in different town ) and dadi manages all the otherwork , and my nana don't know how to so he makes tea and he takes care of all the market duties and then both of them watch tv and news together then abbuse the policy makers , but they are living happily and peaceful they fight argue , but in the end its life it can not be idealistic that both the people do equal work its a family some takes care of one duty other guy takes care of other duty ,

Yes happens with a lot of us , not only with females, but also with males , when we try to take stand for our mothers ,they will react by saying don't counter ur dad because he is authority figure in the patrriachal system , so sometimes even if he is wrong, nobody can say anything, thankfully some dads have understood patriarchal society & nowadays are very open to positive criticism and they try to push their daughters forward, but I feel sad for the kids who are still suffering and they are not heard
