- A little trick that you can use against Hexen is to put your 2h weapons in the bag and once a guy gets charmed, he will waste a turn to equip his 2h weapon as it happened at min 3:02.

The dagger has a special effect that is not showing in the video. I think they updated it yesterday after I recorded the video (There was an update yesterday). Or if not that, there was a bug that didn't show the special effect which is to be expected since I'm one of the first people to get the dagger and they probably haven't noticed that it had a bug. What happens when you try to resurrect some monsters?

the way i fight them unleahs my dogs and let them hunt them out if withes has no monsters and run away with my guys so they wodent get hex

Got cultists in my party from the beginning, you just need luck to pop the events. The Davkul set got nerfed though :(

Dealing with hexen is really a pain in my ass, or my brothers'. It really depend on luck whenever she doesn't use Hex curse.
That's why at the very first turn I make some shot at her, to lower her HP, so that a bro who got Hex won't die when she gets killed.
But it seem like you did endure her atrocity until she max out her fatigue, which is a strategy too hard for a young company like mine.

New save, played around 40 hours already. Tbh past day 100 when you have decent gear, you can get uniques pretty easily by farming camps like I do.

So its morale numbers that determine whether the hex kisses land? or ranged defense?
I'm not 100% sure but I think it's based on resolve. The higher resolve of the bro, the lower chance to get hit.
@@imzfrozen Yes it is based on resolve. The dev videos from Overhype on this DLC state as much.
You are epic, can you show how to fight with alps? another question - can you make a video or guide how to make good build for diffrent types of brothers?
Alps are annoying but I can make a video fighting against them, not sure if I can beat more than 20 though. My bros have almost the same perks as my last squad, only like 1 or 2 perks changed. I will probably make a video in the future showing this squad. If you have a specific build request, I could post a picture with the perks that I would use for that build.

Very nice battle, you are a true fanatic and a great battle brothers player:) i started a lets play on expert but the begining is very hard now, the new missions are working against you. have some tips on how to get money faster in the first 50 days?
IMHO,
1. Take only combat contracts, and caravan ones only when you need to heal.
2. Against bandit raiders and higher use a whole frontline of daggers with shields, to farm their decent armor instead of buying it. (Use "Puncture" attack).
3. Never ask for more money when negotiating a contract. Because when you do, it affects your reputation and ultimately you get paid less in future.
4. Given the opportunity, trade. Sometimes in small settlements with specific production you find 2-3 really cheap goods. Sell them in big settlements for a profit about 100 crowns a piece.
5. Early on NEVER go for Unholds, the healing cost will be way higher than reward.
6. Against only Alps strip your whole party of armor (for Initiative) and bring dogs.
Kind of all that I could think of. Hope that helps.

Did you ever show your build for each of your brothers in one of your vids? Curious about your perk and trait preferences after the balance changes in the DLC.
So if you by some luck run into an hex and saw some direwolf think it be safe to attack thinking they attack each other you be wrong and dead....

What happens if you let the witch go after the fight? Or choice doesnt matter?
For example i know that with new tree location that gives waterskin you can mess up badly if dont chose to drink just a little and then no waterskin for you. So i wonder about choice in witch hut.

They should nerf those trolls that is like near imposdible to fight aganist 3 or 4 of them
if it were only 3 or 4... most of the time they come in batches of 6-8 :( beat 4 pretty convincingly arround turn 80-90 but that was the one time I got lucky... had to savescum the other times ... especially the FIRST encounter when I charged at 7....... that was.. no fun to say the least. My Heavy crossbow seems to do like 1/20 damage when all the armor is gone. Quite silly like they have some sort of inbuilt and invisible missile resitance or sth.
3 or 4 is doable if you have 12 men and some nets. 6 are dangerous unless your guys are good equiped already. At least thats how it goes in my campaigns. In all honesty id much rather fight 6 unholds than 3 schrats these pesky trees often get one of my guys killed. In fact my only deaths in my campaign were to schrats and one fairly early to a crossbow hit on my new arbalester guy with really good stats. Still salty about that one.
SOOOOOOOOO is this a hint to a new dlc. The kings road dlc, where you come from a lowly mercenary, Where you try to unite the whole land under one empire. hmmmmmm i wonder. cause this is something i was hoping for since i first played this game. a true end goal. comment your thoughts for me

The devs have mentioned many times that owning settlements or base building is beyond the scope of the game and something they are not interested in doing. Sorry, bud.
dude how do the hexes not charm you? I swear I get charmed like 90% of the time. This fight is impossible for me.
just remove your weapons pre fight so your guys fight each other with fists. High resolve helps not get charmed

Heh. Just did this fight myself yesterday. Had to reload once cause i forgot to have my Sergeant have his banner equipped which gives extra resolve and saves you from most of the witches' mind control as long as you have around 50 resolve for all your guys and a good Sergeant. Once the witches are dead the fight is easy. Did it on level 13 or so i think.
I have my bros 60+ rsolve, gues what. Not helping)

It's based on luck, you just need cultists, that's all. They will proc the events for you. It can take hundreds of days.
2nd most annoyng in battlebrothers? (First is kraken)
Unwinnable on iron mode :o I mean winnable but chance u lose few valuable warriors is so high that there is no point attacking this

Nah, he let them go barehanded cause it would be enough for them to strangle hexes.
I am quite surprised you don’t have recover for more bros, is there a reason for that?
As you can see from my previous videos, I don't really use Recover on anyone except the 2h axe guy and I managed to win prolonged battles so I think I'm fine without it. I would get it on every 2h bro but there are some new enemies with annoying abilities like Hexen so instead I have the perk Resilient on almost every 2h guy. Besides that, I put points on Fatigue every time someone levels up, that's why they can carry heavy armors and still have 80-100 Fatigue which is alot.
Ah thanks for the reply, the new enemies does encourage the need for more defensive perks. For me recover lets me jump ahead in the initiative queue and allows all my bros to use fatigue intensive perks consistently especially when defending takes fatigue. What have your experiences with recover and non recover bros been like in fights, has the perk made any difference with you axe man?
@@naitnait00 I usually finish battles by the time he has full fatigue so it didn't make much of a difference. It's good if you somehow get between 3-4 enemies and spam the attack that hits everybody around him.

I think is 2 "true" cultists and total of 6, so 4 can be convertees. Dont quote me on that, tho, i farmed that set only once like a year ago with wikia info. But if DLC didnt change anything, should still be the same amount of cultists.

Even at this lvl archers cant land an arrow... so stupid mechanic!
