The difficulty scale with time is a thing, and glad it is. lose brothers early game on stupid fights because cheap meatshields made sense... Don't hire meatshields. Hire for keeps, keep them alive. It's a brilliant game. But very cruel.
@@DyingCr0w Gotta say though when you lose brothers later on its unforgivingly brutal since you often lose their equipment too and the cost of their equipment, hiring costs, wages to get them to that point, and training up until then far outweigh the rewards you get even from the more lucrative contracts. Its so dumb because I have never seen a contract pay more then 6k when a knight with a coat of plates and full helm has armor worth 10k and 3 of them could appear in the mission that is worth 6k payout. Literally the enemy has 5 times the value of the mission in gear then you are getting from doing the contract. The late game needs a buff to money from contracts because even losing 1 brother is disastrous financially in the end game.
Sitting here at 6 am, watching this fight at the edge of my seat, and i'm just happy it wasn't me suffering through it. Also your davkul-boi is an absolute madlad.
one guy at 2HP and two guys at 1HP... that was really close there. good job. also please turn on quick enemy movements. those 48 enemies were time consuming
For the guys who can't win this battle, just make some greenskin or human parties to follow you and join this fight. Especially orcs are good at killing these guys.

I personally like to think that the protégé is the reincarnation of the false king. After you defeat the undead crisis. You will enter a dream where you remember your time in a majestic Palace, gaze upon your armies and a woman would call you my emperor. She will ask you what is gonna happen next and you have 3 dialogue choices. I chose death isn't the end and the dream ended. Why else would you have these memories.

Tsondo and Honso are fucking beasts holy crap. Everyone else has got a veteran feel to them but those two specifically feel like they could me Roman Von Ungern Sternberg lmao.
How exactly do you progress from mid game stuff to this, I stuggle to equip my guys with good enough gear and so I have to rely on more shields which means I do less damage which means I lose ;-)
Have to grind lots a quests, find recruits with good talents/stars, ally with some towns for good prices, once you get some baddasses with 100+ atk and 30+ def you are good to go. One other thing is if you really need gear, you can surround and knife to death bandit raiders/leaders, with the puncture attack only dealing hp dmg you get their amour:D

no it is me, with a 11 dagger and 1 archer company. No one can beat my strategy. Loot everything, hit 33 times a turn, do between 22 and 33 injuries a turn, and makes them fear very fast with all injuries and fearsome perks.
@transylvanian just stab them if they don't wear any armor, and the puncture is very effective against skeletons, i love kill honor guards, it is very fun.
@transylvanian when you have 85 to 100+ melee skill, no matter shieldwalls. And with recovery perk, using stab, we can't run out of fatigue easily, so, it is worth it. Just one problem : versus the new tree, i will need to put an axe to my archer to break his shield, but it's ok, powerfull against all enemies
Is the new dlc compatible with older campaigns? I wanted to try it with an old squad that was decked out but I didn't think it would have the new stuff.
The weapons should import, but a lot of the other stuff will not. It also has a high chance to cause fatal glitches in your game. When I tried it, the game replaced all the noble swords on my sword tanks with the new mid tier 2-h sword. I had to revert the game back to the original version and disable the dlc to fix it. The devs recommend you start a new campaign because of all the compatibility issues.

And hey; say what you will about the game being "easy" unless you gamed with the most meta builds to day 500 and took a completely ruthless approch to your bros; it was still plenty hard even on Beginner. Just people would play until they were gods and then complain about a lack of challenge. Like "duuuh" you're using fucking broken ass builds and you're at the mega lategame with full named item sets. Of course it's easy now.
On archers I always put points on both melee and ranged skill. As for the last one, I choose between fatigue, ranged defense and initiative. Besides leveling up, you can also increase stats by picking the right option on events.

@@MrHolydoodle High resolve? I rarely put points into resolve, they have necklaces that give them resolve + the sergeant gives +13 resolve to each player. Fatigue isn't even that high since almost all of their equipment is pretty light. Also, you should look at the stars and traits that they have, which can increase the stats and level up stats respectively. Besides, at 4:28 you can see that Balthier has the confident morale, which gives him more stats. Any bro with a decent background and good stars could reach those stats at lvl 25.
@@MrHolydoodle he has only one character with a decent fatigue. The minimum fatigue (to me) for the men is 105 at level 11, or i will kick him. without fatigue, we can't fight. But one question : Is there a limit for level up? Because i never go to level 25 ^^
what difficulty? IMHO not expert + expert + low + ironman... i dont think its possible exp (keep them alive) and gear them... so fast (600 days?) try it, it's a different game than playing with your demigods :-)
Expert economy is just not fun to play, ironman is useless anyway since you can alt f4 if a character dies, low funds can fuck you up pretty bad if you get unlucky quests right at the start so no thanks here im playing the game because i want to have fun not to sit there pause the game and overthink every move until day 50 where you are at the point of snowballing out of control anyway if you are capable :)

PPL saying this guy is best BB player? really? he is not playing a game, he is just overfarming it. he could just use cheats to make all with famed weapons and 42lvl and take monolith without any loses to save 500hours of time. remember the hint developers try to say to you, loosing is fun. Your band must die, you can get much more from this game to play 5 different campaings, 5 epic stories about your trip, winnings and loosing, not just farm for 2000 days to take monolith. this is facepalm.I wish all backgrounds got Old perk with time, would really be great.

You can beat it after first crisis , with enough of grind and no escort , deliver quests .

How on earth did you build that 2-hander guy (Tsondo) on the southern flank? He killed a quarter of the map by himself.
That was quite lucky that no one died there, those 1hp miasmas and 40% dodges.

Why did they nerfed legendary sets? They are supposed to be the very best. Something that it's imposible to replicate and all of that.
I'm not sure. They are still strong as in they have special effects, but sucks that the armor that they give is now lowered.

in veteran and expert, the game don't respect the percentages, and if you have 50 % chance to hit, you really have 5 %.
