The thing is, China is in control of over 70% of worlds lithium processing directly or indirectly. N as a cherry on the cake; BYD itself was initially a battery manufacturing company. So it's much cheaper for them

Lol you are dumb. Chinese control 80% of lithium reserve market. Which means they have a critical element in a cheaper rate. And battery are the costliest component in ev car. So what elom said was right. You can't play a game that is rigged in the beginning itself😂

Gasoline engines have earned their trust over 100 years. It is not fair to expect people to give up on that trusted tech that quickly. It will take a while. Electric cars are still expensive and facing many hiccups....charging stations, range, etc. So this should be looked as a marathon...not a sprint.

China wasn't late to the EV game. They ignored the Patents on Lithium Phosphate Batteries in their domestic market for years, so when the Patent expired in 2022, they had developed vehicles ready to go. And they control the Rare Earths market that's required for electric motors. If Europe implemented the same tariffs as the USA on imported EV's, they still don't have a single EV that's within 5,000 Euros of the cheapest Chinese products.

where did Palki Sharma get her news source from? BYD was already in the EV public transportation market very early on. Furthermore, many news websites don't acknowledge the fact that China bet big on EV and provided a lot of incentives - hence it's EV meteoric rise. Many governments do the same i.e. USA's CHIPS act. Let's be honest - we will be glad if our own countries had governments that look forward and try to develop new opportunities for it's citizens. Another key factor to China's meteoric EV rise was its large domestic market that provided a lot data for their EV companies to improve the product. Elon Musk's sour grapes notion of Chinese trade barrier is pretty ironic when China is one of Tesla's key markets.

When you're a copy master, you don't have to invest billions in research and design. Chinese have copied all the design right from EV cars to Aircrafts. Recently JLR motors won the case of copyright infringement against a Chinese car maker for duplicating Range rover evoq. China has advantage as most of the vehicle manufacturers has set up plants to manufacture cars because of the cheap labor. Now the companies are in dilemma as the design as well as the dyes and the machine running was available for the Chinese to copy.

While companies with unsustainable exponential growth may eventually crash, those with slow, steady, and sustainable growth tend to survive for the long run.

A lot to consider here. It is true that America's infrastructure is not ready yet for the EV market, and what we've seen recently with the rental companies is a reflection of buyers ignoring the fact that there are not sufficient charging stations to handle the sudden flood of electric vehicles. Adding to the problem, interest rates and concessions are presenting a head wind for such pricey vehicles as you have correctly mentioned in your report. But there could be a hidden agenda behind all this. Musk was forced to sell most of his shares when he decided to buy Tweeter; now he wants to own a bigger stock in the company. No one influences markets better than Elon Musk, and the question is whether he is doing what he does best to influence it this time to his advantage: sell high and buy low.

Even ICE cars took a long time. compared to ICE. cars, EV are much faster to adjust and improve in terms getting mature.. Elon is not stupid, he knows BEVs are not the wave of the future.
Therefore, expect Tesla to come out with a Hybrid version of the BEV Tesla within 12 to 18 months.
He will come out with a couple of hybrid Tesla cars,
One with a petrol generator, which will operate the HVAC as well as charge the battery pack, requiring a smaller (and lighter)battery pack, reducing the weight of current Teslas and solving most of the issues plaguing his current BEVs.
Further he will release a Hybrid fuel cell or Hybrid engine version.
Finally he will acquire all of the unsold BEVs and retrofit them with later hybrid power systems.
Considering a Tesla model 3 battery weighs 1100lbs and a Tesla model Y battery weighs 1700lbs. Cutting those weights in half by adding a generator, will result in a vehicle that weighs several hundred pounds less. Lighter = longer range.

The problem is that you don't know how stock markets work. The EV market is huge and there is room for everyone unlike what you say that it is a small pie. The fall was because Tesla missed market estimates of earning and revenues by around 3 percent. In the same week, GE beat the market's earning estimates by 15%, but still its shares plunged only to rise later. Netflix missed market estimates by 5%, but its shares jumped by 10%. You can see the mixed market reactions to financial disclosures. Your audience expects something of substance. Don't imitate the MSM and post flashy headlines.

Meanwhile in our country Tata, Mahindra have been road blocking every foreign car maker with government high taxes on hybrid and strong hybrid cars and even influencing 10 year 15 year ban to artificially boost sales, No wonder premium cars are in crores these days. Well, Tesla shares always fall after shareholders meetings, this is bigger and deeper this time. Lol don’t go jumping off cliffs just yet as Tesla also had its biggest earnings ever, it has the #1 selling car in the world, they sell everything they can build as fast as they build it with 2 million ppl waiting for the newly launched Cybertruck. They just released FSD v12 and so far it’s a game changer.
The main issue is that most factories are fully maxed out production wise, they are spending 10 Billion on new factories this year but we won’t see the normal huge sales growth cause only Gigatexas is bringing new production lines on right now to grow sales. It’s just in between growth waves this year, and in all honesty I think Share prices were a bit high for where Tesla is currently. Be careful because you won’t get a warning when it’s time to buy back in, you will only hear of it after the price has doubled.😂
