    I have spent a few hours flying with differential thrust on my binary with full a manual receiver. That crash was definitely caused by a thrust imbalance. In hindsight, the only way to save it was to cut the power and glide for an emergency landing. Looking forward to the Drift review!

    My mate's Binary flies quite well. After the first tip stall crash, he extended the wing area by 15%, and the rudder and elevators by a good bit more than that. The work was to improve glide as well - it hardly glides at all in stock with a large battery. Just looking at it, the proportions don't seem right.

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It looks to me your pitch up was very steep which caused you to lose airspeed and stall. I think the FPV feed showing 54km/h is not showing the absolute minimum speed. Your nose was pointed way up right before it stalled; the FPV feed appears to show at the time before the extreme pitch up. I think you had a stall due to too much pitch up and you did not have enough altitude to recover. Regardless, I think even 54km/h is not fast enough for such maneuver. I fly mine with arduplane and my FBW MIN parameter is set to 30mph and I'm flying near 2kg AUW. At 30mph, that is for level flight, no turns. Anything else, I increase speed. Sorry you had such a bad maiden. Hope you get it fixed up. It does fly great!

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably will not get it fixed up... quite a line after this one... so finding it hard to justify spending time repairing it and trying to get it flying properly! Also... speed was accurate... and since this is GPS ground speed... at an incline angle... real speed is higher... and I was going against the wind! Stall came in the turn, it was just too high of a banking angle! Was OK while going straight!

    Solution to your problem.
    ESC/ Motors where out of sync. super easy fix.
    1. turn on your transmitter & push the throttle to the full up position.
    2. connect a battery to your plane while the throttle is fully open
    3. both motor and esc will begin to beep and sync both of them together
    4. the beeping will continue for about 2-3 minutes.
    5. after 3 minutes unplug the aircraft battery and turn off your transmitter
    6. turn on you transmitter with throttle at 0 & turn on your plane .
    7. increase the throttle very slowly until both motors spin at the same time.
    if they do not spin together at the about 1-8% throttle complete steps 1-7 until they are in sync.

      Right... well... there are a lot of details to it... so perhaps it really does cost that much!

      @@ArxangelRC I still would love to have one and put a Matek FC on it.

      Well then... get it, put the Matek in... and hang it on the ceiling, and just enjoy the view! :)

      Yes, I had heard people extending the wings on this one... definitely not something I was willing to do! I mean... what is the point of putting out such a beautiful plane... if I have to go around cutting and gluing before it even takes flight...

      Albabird flies MUCH better. I have both.

    • @ArxangelRC
      @ArxangelRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well... I was looking forward to seeing it flying properly... but I guess that won't happen now! Also, the Alba is probably much better... but doesn't look nearly as good! :P

      ArxangelRC but it flies so sweet despite looking like a pregnant bumblebee.

    I love these twin-tractor, high wing models but I'll be staying away from this one.

      Certainly seems like a wise choice!
