What a cool video. I've lived through choice outside many a time in my past, and know the enjoyment of cooking and eating outside. Thanks for the video. I wish you many more blessed adventures
Thanks Daniel ;)
Great bushcraft skills on lighting that fire. The stew looked Amazing.
Rewatching some videos, miss you guys. Just wondering. Did you use anything else to season the stew? Like a beef stew mix packet, or just what was shown?
LOL the final of the clip is epic, Peter has no problems :))
Another great Video Paul Thank You.
The 16cm Pot fits in the large Trangia perfectly.
I know you like the Trangia so give it a go Cheers.....Ralph
Thanks mate i will give it a go
Ty for showing me the zebra pot 16 great for my 4 person family
Hey man! Great video. I recently purchased the 14cm and can't wait to try it out. I have plans to trick it out with the top rack for coals, strainer, bolts for roasts, temperature gauge and steel ball bearings for heat sinks. When I use a flint and steel, I place the char cloth on the end of my fingers with just a bit over the edge and hand held open. I then place the flint stone on top of the cloth such that I can secure it with my thumb and then my steel strikes will shower the sparks on top of the cloth. Someone asked you about cleaning the pot. I would just lightly clean with a steel wool so that it doesn't come off onto your hands. Cookware always looks better with signs of use. I plan to pick up a draw string bag for it so my other gear wont get dirty. Looking forward to another cooking video, I will let you know what I make.
Sounds like you will be creating a mean pot ;) thanks for the advice ;)
Well done fellas! Ok so about 2 hours for a big pot of stew - that works!
Very good and delicious food! Thumbs up! :)
Brilliant bloke!
Great job
If I'd have gone to all that effort to feed my lads and got that reaction I'd have hit em with that zebra pot... Nice effort though 👍👍👍
Tell me about it
Hey Paul, i was wondering, how close can you clean your Billy Can to it’s original look, after heavy use like this. What would be a good technique, maybe fine still wool or outdoor, fine sand? Love your show.
I use stainless steel scourers groceries.asda.com/product/gloves-sponges-cloths/asda-spiral-scourers/910001946344 Thanks for watching :)
LOL It gets all over my kit!
LOL its so easy to clean them with a stainless scourer. I use a shopping plastic bag to carry it home after it gets sooted up over a fire.
