University of Dallas listed but Christendom College wasn’t. That’s funny. UD has suffered, if memory serves, under the strain of the administration in recent decades. Christendom College is less intense, in so far as academic rigor, than Thomas Aquinas … but far exceeds the course of core studies offered by Steubenville.
I think most people don’t understand the point of this video. On one hand, some people think judge Catholic colleges solely on their academics and not orthodoxy while others make the faith of campus the only thing in determining a college to the extent nothing else matters. I think a school with both a great focus on the faith AND good general qualities of colleges should be what defines a good Catholic college. Not every Georgetown student will be a communist and not every Ave Maria student will turn out homeless. For both Christ and our children, we should recognize the purpose of the video and either support those colleges which balance such, or (for students going into/ enlisted in colleges) help shape the culture to be the best it can be. I haven’t experienced many of the colleges commented about personally, so I can’t say how good a school is academically or spiritually without objective information. I just hope and pray for a better future than what we were given.

They had 2 observers at the wnd Vatican Council., as well; as St.Johns Abbey in Collegeville MN. This institution is also Benedictine
I don't see any of these on the Newman Society's list on their website.
Check them against the Newman Society list: they grade according to very basic Catholic minimums like single-sex dorms etc.
You forgot about University of St Thomas in Houston TX!
Thanks so much for not including Boston college
University of Dallas listed but Christendom College wasn’t. That’s funny. UD has suffered, if memory serves, under the strain of the administration in recent decades. Christendom College is less intense, in so far as academic rigor, than Thomas Aquinas … but far exceeds the course of core studies offered by Steubenville.
I thought perhaps Du Canyon University in Pittsburgh might be on your list
Ave Maria University !
ALUMNI SISTERS OF CHARITY'S DEVOTED LIFE TO SERVICE
I can’t believe Christendom college didn’t make your list!
Wow! Actually had no idea there were truly Catholic institutions left in the world aside from seminaries!
I pray for the Catholic Church to continue to set standards. 🙏
You include a photo of Providence College, however it is not on this list.
The opening shot shows Providence College. It is not listed.
It shouldn't be. It is woke and all inclusive like Georgetown or BC, etc.
@@jerryrobertson4422 My comment was not that it should be included. It was to suggest not using inappropriate stock images.
You missed large on Benedictine College. Probably needs to be #1.
St Anselm New Hampshire is excellent

Wished I'd seen this list before I sent my daughter to Fordham University in Manhattan. Horrified to learn what has become of Jesuit-run higher education. Would not recommend it to any student or any parent expecting to pay the tuition and other expenses.
Since Catholic women are supposed to be either religious sisters/nuns or wives and mothers of large families, why are we sending girls to college at all?
All--ALL--of Catholic higher education caved to secularism with the Land O'Lakes Statement in 1967: adopting so called "academic freedom" instead of the objective pursuit of truth illuminated by the Faith. Thomas Aquinas College was the first (and best imho) to break away and begin all over again from the beginning. They do Aristotle and St. Thomas Aquinas there: primo for philosophy and theology, plus nails on mathematics. The whole curriculum is required. Totally Catholic vibe too.
I wish to get a scholarship in one of them.
I thought perhaps Duquesne University in Pittsburgh might be on your list
Christendom College in Front Royal, Va. should definitely be included. Catholic university in DC shouldn’t be included. Yuck. 😊
Amen! Glenn Lanham, MATS '23, Steubie U!!
Duquesne University in Pittsburgh has a rigorous curriculum.
Does it meet the most basic minimum requirements of being Catholic? See Newman Guide.
Franciscan 🔥👏🏼
