If PolyPaintIT did not work for you, then here is a working method. You need to increase the intensity so that the brush clearly highlights the polygons. RGB Intensity: 100. Focal Shift: minus 100.

Well, "animation level" quality of topology is "neat" to its most literal and absolute level, at least in terms of industry standard. Not a single edge loop out of place and as little of loops as possible. You can see this on 0:50, especially on the ear and the inside of the eye, that it doesn't really follow the "motion" of the shape you would want for the final base mesh. And you can see like twice or even three times as many edge loops overall, in places that don't really need them, across the entire face. Like sure, you need more loops around the mouth and the eyes, and some around the nose area, but it doesn't need to be uniform across the entire mesh.

great, but i have a question how much subdivision use before to paint the head and how long take to apply the polygrouplt. asking that because i use a sphere 3d then convert and apply zremesh after add 6 subdivision and paint but just paint a circle and take for 1 minute long the process (1 minute and 30 seconds) it is normal ) after that i apply a zremesh again to polish the model but take it similar time almosy 2 minutes. dont think its normal because my computer is recently new and components are new like threadripper 2990wx, asus prime x399. 64gb ram 3000 mhz (runing at 2133 automatic for default), ssd M.2 1tb, hdd 1tb please help me

Just curious, I never used zbrush, bu can you choose even lower poly than you show in video? example, the purple area has like, 6 polygons from inner to outer ring if you know what I mean. Can this remesh thingy make it even lower so it is like 2 polygons from inner to outer etc?
Love it! Can you do a 60 second tutorial on resolution for Dynamesh? Specifically when you start combining different subtools - I always loose the detail I've already sculpted, even at max resolution. Thanks!
I think its because its to uniform and density properly spread out it doesnt put mesh density and lack of in the right places for more fluid deformers.. thats my guess.
@@rebelangel8227 looking back on this video again I noticed the forehead,Neck and cheeks have unnecessary amount of poly's hopefully there is a way in the near future to reduce the amount in those specific areas automatically.
@@gnightrow4020 im sure in the future there will be algorythms to make perfect meshes of sculpts that are animation or game ready.. but im learning to retopo now.. it really is worth learning.. and it can be a good stress releaver to to just sit there jam some music and connect the dots
I now know how to retopologize quite effectively, but the truth is that I want as much automation as possible in my life so I could get to the fun stuff sooner

If it don't work in your case try:
- turn off alpha on your brush
- change focal shift to -100
- increase resolution of your dynamesh

500k to 10k is not bad. Can definitely bake high to low poly for the normal map.

Just take standard tool. And then select only RGB and unselect the Zadd and/or the Zsub. And finally, pick up the black color. :)

polygroupit is a Zbrush 2018 feature, yes :)
Though also note 2018 is free to existing users. So if you already own a license of ZBrush you can download version 2018!
