    A crossover we never knew we needed! I love Joey, Connor and Gigguk and have been following Joey for about 7, if not 8 years. They are truly great men and entertainers. Connor also has hemophilia, so it plays a big role in him being able to get surgery of any kind. I hope they see the video as you give great advice, but also are a great role model for men, who deal with hair loss in general and ofc a man with a bald head and no facial hair isn't weird

    Oh man, i didn't expect this cross over. Connor, the guy in green has haemophilia and he says he cannot have surgery because of this. This video was from a little while ago now, and recently it seems he has lost quite a bit around his crown area. I always thought it would be amazing if you did a proper video with him and see if there is some actual treatment that can be done. Friends, fellow employees, and sometimes even women. I don’t feel like they ever did it maliciously, usually it’s just poking fun. Connor is norwood 2 and he is still able to easily hide the receding hair just by styling his head. Finasteride would usually do wonders in this situation, bringing back some hair and stopping the hair loss. Maybe the side effect were too much for him, he could take it every other day which is still effective. Worked quite well for me in an almost identical situation, only slightly older.

    18:00 I like how he considers possible blood conditions that might be preventing Connor from getting surgery and hits the nail on the head immediately. Connor's blood doesn't clot on its own, so he could technically bleed out from a scratch if he somehow didn't notice the slowly growing puddle of blood and seek medical attention. In an earlier episode of Trash Taste he actually talks about it and some of the difficulties it causes him, especially living in a country where very few people speak english.

    Dr. Gary I have a question about hair loss and hearing. I remember in college (I might be wrong about this) that there are small hairs in our ears that help us hear. Does hair loss affect these types of cells in our ears as we age and is that also a contributing factor to why we tend to lose our ability to hear as we age? Such as being unable to hear higher frequencies as we were able to when we were younger.

    If you can tolerate Fin - get on it!! !
    I was NW3 at 20 and reminded by family that I’m balding and will lose everything by 23, like my Dad. I was like nope . Avi and jumped on medication. I’m now 30 and received a compliment the other day that I have a ‘Heap of hair’ (still NW3, rocking a subtle comb over)
    It’s really the only solution :)
    Good luck all.

      Nice to hear this, I'm at NW2 myself, (25 y/o) going to doctor next week just to hear what would be recomended for me at this point because my I've never seen my dad with hair since I was born and I'd like to avoid that for myself

      @@boblully5053 Um yea you’re right in so far as my hair doesn’t look as good as when I was 20 but if i hadn’t hopped on fin I’d be NW5++ no doubt. I’m lucky I’m a good responder and don’t experience side effects. It’s a powerful and effective drug for maintaining hair long term- I’ve been on it for 10+ years. Consistently is key. I didn’t see results until after the first year. Everyone today is looking for a quick fix for their problems… for hair - you have to be prepared to play the long game. Peace

    Most of my family has their hair, so i'm not that nervous about balding. However i'm 19 and i started noticing a lot more shedding and breakage last year. My scalp was also really itchy and started forming scabs. It might be just nutrition and stress related since ive been going through a rough patch. I can't find any bald spots or significant hairline changes so it could be nothing.

    • @jacwest7406
      @jacwest7406 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I'm absolutely not an expert but if you're finding scabs and itchy it might be a skin issue like eczema or psoriasis, if it flares up again you might try talking to a doctor, it could be as simple as rubbing a steroid cream on if it flares up and keeping the skin extra moisturized. Just from a person who has had a lot of skin issues in their life, including on my scalp lol.

    • @jasperj.d.g.4147
      @jasperj.d.g.4147 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sounds like a skin issue. You should have it checked out so you can have it treated.

    • @LittlestSamurai
      @LittlestSamurai ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would go to your doctor or find a dermotologist. With skin issues (particularly if they form scabs) they can be prone to irritation and infection and need active care and treatment. Things like shampoo, soaps, if you wear hats -can also cause irritation so it's important to be proactive in finding out what the cause is, in order to improve your quality of life.

    People need to be patient with their hair loss treatment. It took me 6 months to notice any difference (taking pictures so you can track progress is a must) and about a year before I was happy with the results. I am between a NW 2 and 3 I guess? If I stay there I will consider myself lucky and maybe think about a conservative hair transplant (or two?) in the not too distant future.

    Hi! I consulted and they told me that they could take 2000- 2500 grafts and I have baldness type 6 i think or heading that way. They say that they will not lower my headline obviously but put hair from todays hairline back to the bald spot, and the bald spot will not be fixed. Does that seem resonable, and I dont want to pay for this if Im still gonna have a big bald spot in the back, then It seems best to just accept this current free baldness? Any thoughts on if I proceed it will be pretty good anyways or not?

    James is going bald, and has been using caps to hide it since a good while now, BUT the AVGN character doesn't wear any type of hat, so he had to show it, and people noticed, and they were like "Just shave it off" or "Now I see why you wear caps all the time".
