I wish car reviews would go beyond the 'dating period' type reviews and paint a picture of what to expect from a few years of ownership. Volkswagens have a, ummm, not so nice reputation post-purchase (random but costly faults, high servicing prices locked to dealerships, poor aftermarket dealership service experiences). But these variables are the most important things you want to know about a car as an actual owner.
Yaris the more expensive one... I think that calls for a separate more detailed comparison video. Its not often tht we see the German cars on the bargain side of their car class... and from previous reviews that Yaris was scoring top marks in a lot of places.
This is true, but be careful regarding running costs. VW requires 95 octane or higher, and has much higher servicing fees than the Toyota which sips a lower amount of 91 octane, and has relatively affordable services. I know which one I'd buy for a fun drive though...
Correct, it's a different tune because Aussie fuel has a higher sulphur content. Aussie models lack the PPF and have the previous engine tune with the different gearbox. Most likely just short-changing us considering that the upgraded EA888 and new gearbox is in other cars but what can ya do?
I still can't buy a VW after DieselGate. Would like to see you review the new Ford Everest on road, and report on the ride, handling - and turning circle - of the new car. Have Ford managed to make the new vehicle somehow not a total cow requiring a 5 point turn in a cul de sac? Is it the bestest car ever for the school dropoff, AND romantic camping weekends away making more kids for the school dropoff? (I know, there's almost no-one believes in a "romantic camping weekend". But, if you find that rare person who feels frisky after driving 2+ hours on unmade roads to sleep under the Milky Way and who also enjoys digging a hole for their own excrement, stick with them)
Considering various other brands have also gotten into trouble over emissions cheating, including Hyundai & Kia, in the USA at the moment, very few brands of vehicle, that u could buy…
All car manufacturers have 'cheated' emissions and performance figures. It has been happening for decades. There are no angels in the automotive world. Time for a reality check.
Great car, pretty good revue, however as always nit picking rears it’s ugly head😬 If you’re going to spend almost $40,000 on a new car surely you can invest $7.95 on a drink bottle that fits the spot 😎👍
3:47 jenny says she is not sure why it’s shifting fast like a DCT because it’s only a DSG. But dear jenny, a DSG is a DCT. How does your script writer not know this? Or am I the one who is confused?
Face-lift polo is the worse I got mine after 2390km on the clock it's starts displaying brake fluid low and vw dearship are the worse poor service the best polo gti is the 2015 model this new one too much tech
That's OK. Just buy into the green is good, EV world where 80% of your power is derived from coal burning power stations. Add to that the higher purchase price of the car and depending upon your usage, you could be looking at 5-6 years to offset the price difference between hybrid and petrol in fuel savings. Consider also the lack of functionality in certain cases. Less storage, ability to tow etc, then tack on govt tax for the privilege of running a hybrid and it isn't all roses.
@@warhammer-neophyte that’s true the power is still derived from coal but the efficiency is far better. The main thing holding EVs back in Australia is the lack of charging stations and the total lack of government support.
A toy for Rich people, the old Polo's more simple more agility, less weigh and much cheaper, they were sports cars of the working class. That fat Polo is good car, but they never call that a Polo, not even a Golf, it's more like a Passat in weight and price.
Never change Jenny. You always make it interesting. A Volkswagen Polo release could have been boring but your presentation style was awesome.
Polo GTI is a dope car
She will change, we all get old. You must accept this to avoid disappointment.

Where are you located because In the UK mine is 6.5s 0-60 and it has the brand new 7 speed?

Every Generation of Polo GTI's gets the same Comments in Reviews!
Feeling Sleepy watching this video!😴
Good Night!
In the UK it has a 7 speed DSG. Is it different in AU then?
Yeah they don''t get the upgraded BHP and the 7 speed like we do in the UK

18 inch wheels? Australia not quite completely metric then!
And America isn't in Imperial. All of their measurements are defined by their relation to the metric system.

My observation is the front seats. They really do look shoddily put together. Look at the joins of the fabric. Really looks cheap.
Cup of cake ?
The future is electric. ICE sales are dropping. EV sales are increasing.

Hard to justify a dedicated petrol car purchase in today's age with incredible ev's phevs and hybrids when petrol is hideously expensive so yer, nah
