Ultimately, the focus on the driving experience, rather than unnecessary technology, sets the Polo GTI apart from its larger sibling, with a more authentic hot-hatch feel that enthusiasts will appreciate.
@autoadvisorza i think the new gti would have still been better than the Clio rs and fiesta st. It's a bit pricey for a polo but then again the new car market has increased drastically over the past few years
Polo GTi doesn’t have any competition in SA. Personally, I think to be in the hot hatch segment you need a 200kw+ hatch. Polo GTI is a fun baby hot hatch but the big boys are still out there ready to snack on them Polo GTI guys.

Best in it's class for sure
Great vehicle with no competition since brands dropped the Clio RS and Fiesta ST. So it is best in class 😅

Yeah, I agree. Gti is a well-rounded vehicle. I think the Clio RS is a more engaging drive though.

Audi a1 40 sline
200+ kw? So you’re saying the golf GTi isn’t a proper hot hatch either? That only has 180kw.
