There's so much to prepare for nursing school isn't there?! Love your realism to your vlogs, I do the same for my channel as I feel it's more relatable ❤ I always love your vlogs, you make me feel like I'm actually there with you, it's a nice chilled vibe 🥰

Planning on going to nursing school in a year. I’m in Houston, how did you find/pick/decide which school to go to?

Hi! Just saw your comment! I wanted to stay in California, so I researched all accelerated BSN programs in the state. Then I basically prioritized programs that were 15 months or less and applied to a couple. I also think it's a good idea to apply to schools that have similar pre-requisite requirements. That way you don't have to take a million pre-reqs. After that, I just committed to whichever school had the best reviews and honestly made the most sense based on where we were living at the time. One thing I would recommend researching is if the schools you're applying to let you do your capstone/senior practicum in a specialty you're interested in (if you have a specific interest). My school doesn't let us do our capstone in Pediatrics, NICU, or anything L&D/Postpartum related :(

Lone Star College is a great option depending on your location in Houston! Their only pre-requisites are A&P 1 and English 1 since it’s a community college. They are also one of the only community colleges in Houston with a BSN program.

Honestly, all nursing schools are the same in terms of learning. They don't teach, you have to learn all on your own which is very unfortunate. You should choose the one that is affordable and close to where you live. Cause there will probably be commuting to and from school.
