This one had Yergy heated!! I knew it was going to be a short sentence or something along that line because of the tone of Yergys voice... They(Yergy & Drewby) show more care for these children than their abusers/"parents" ...
Those cops were dumb, if they listened to the recording they would've proceeded way differently!! I'm surprised they weren't suspicious of them just by the way they were talking... You could smell the 💩💩 through the screen!!!

Actually where I live CPS would pop in at the school and talk to the three kids of addicted parents. A couple times they children called CPS to report the moms drinking and no food in the house.
However CPS knew the issues its why they kept tabs on the kids. But only got food for them and left the kids in the home.
Its odd how decision's vary from case to case.

So many of these agencies are extremely underfunded and caseworkers are carrying a load way beyond what they can reasonably deal with. We are talking about caseworkers sometimes working 14 or more hours a day. At least here in Los Angeles. I imagine it’s worse in New Mexico - their economy isn’t great and communities are much more spread out. Moreover, children’s services are often farmed out amongst private agencies that then assume a modicum of responsibility for the children they’re supposed to protect. It’s very convoluted. Children’s services in most counties are having a hard time hiring and with retention due to a myriad of issues.

She should have life for what she's done and he's no better. If the police officer had listened to the 911 call he would have heard the amount of swearing etc.
And another thing. If she couldn't look after her first child, then how come she could look after another three.
