Yeah but they were fun to use back in the day. You would never remove the memory card whether you were playing or not. You always kept it on your PS1/PS2 unless you were traveling to a friend or family's place and want to carry over your save and game to play it elsewhere. Then you bring the memory card with you in that case.
I remember losing my memory card with 80 hours of final fantasy 7 on it. Bought another card and started over. Found the first card 50 hours into another play thru of ff7.
dude, I watch your videos all the way from Ukraine, they help me relax and forget about the situation in my country for a brief moment, thank you and keep the good work up!
@@latinheat9454 my region is not for now, but I've talked to enough refugees to know what people are going through in other parts of the country. We all cope in our own ways, I don't drink/smoke, but I watch controller videos, so?

By the time you retire, you are likely to have a very valuable museum on your hands, Ryan. Love these videos, it's like stepping back in time sometimes.
Regarding the PS1 Jewel Case, you can still purchase them brand new with the 'Compact Disc' molded Logo from Uline. They are 100% the same case as the old PS1 Jewel Cases. I just redid my entire PS1 Collection with those new cases.
That yugioh game u got for ds. A great game with the original rules. My brother and I used to settle things using this game, instead of Rock Paper Scissors . I’ve spend hours playing it and even more creating the ideal deck.
@@Pacmanfan-po9rn For a short period of time Sony had to remove the DualShock Rumble functionality from all DualShock controllers. Hence why the PS3 launched with only the SIXAXIS without Rumble. After the suit was dismissed, the rumble went back in. In the meantime of the lawsuit however, the PS2 controllers also had their rumble removed.
@@Grant_Bennett so it's just a slightly different variant of the controller? Sort of like the dualshock and dual analogue with the different thumbstick caps for ps1

Talking of unusual controllers- I really like the bronze PS4 controllers. The colour is called kappa and they look orange-brown in photos but a nice sparkly bronze in person. I live in Japan and you can still stumble across them here but I think they were a Japan-only colour. I'm a big fan of Bullfrog's Theme games. For Theme Park, there was a Japan-only version of that game called Shin Theme Park that added new features like seasons and park events. Imo, it's the best version of Theme Park, better than Theme Park World. Japan also got Theme Aquarium.
With the *American* Motor Toon Grand Prix, that was the Japanese 2nd game as the first was a Japanese exclusive, kinda jank & more or less a tech demo. The Japanese MTGP2 had two discs so you could link up two consoles for head to head play, racing and the bonus modes (tank, battleship). The American version comes out, then its re-released in Japan as Motor Toon Grand Prix USA (as our version has some slight tweaks, noticably the first two tracks are swapped in order). Fantastic game and served as a way for Kaz to slip in the Gran Turismo physics in the disguise of a kart racer. The rest is history.
I got so many of those sealed each for $5.00 when PS3 consoles were being released it’s funny how you buy things when the prices go up cause now their useless since their not playable on the PS3 or PS4 PS5 console unlike the PS4 controller you can use them on your PS3 the PS5 controller can be used on your PS3 also where those PS2 controllers were only for the PS2 and PS1 that nobody plays on anymore rest in piece PS1 PS2
I'm super into Game Boy modding, you can get very high quality aftermarket shells from vendors like FunnyPlaying that are very close to stock. A lot of the screen mods require these shells because modifying a stock shell can be almost impossible.
That is a rare PS2 controller. I did get one new with my PS2 system. I took it apart to try and fixing it. It wound up in a bag in parts. Didn't have TH-cam videos to show me how back then.
Awesome video! Oh and I have Theme Park for the ps1, but mine came in a different case. It was like the "multi" disc case, but only has one disc. Pretty decent size instruction manual.
I'm not in a financial position to be able to collect things, but if I could....I'd be all over old gaming mags. I absorbed all my early gaming info from EGM, OPM, and the short-lived official Dreamcast magazine.
You can tell that you've never worked in a factory or a warehouse before. LOL! That "yellow tractor" is known as a skid-loader. Farmer Billy-Joe-Jim-BOB would have a real hard time doing anything with that in a field. 😁
When you were explaining how to to tell the case is authentic for Motortoons and you stopped yourself. Don’t stop bro. That’s interesting to us. We want to hear that.
I know this video is a bit older, but just rewatching your content. Fun fact regarding the ps2 non dual shock controller. Back when I was a wee lad, Kingdom hearts had just released. My sister actually got me the game for Christmas during the launch year, and it was the gift I was able to open on Christmas Eve, well.. I did not have a dual shock 2 controller at the time, and so my parents ended up taking me I want to say KB toys the day after Christmas to pick up a dual shock 2 controller, just so I was able to play Kingdom hearts, just cause it required one.
Great video RB but I DO worry about those controllers. The Chinese repro ones of the non vibrating pad and the PSX variant are really good, like, significantly better than the PS3/4 repros in terms of print and box quality. Hopefully both of yours are legit.
You can still buy these for less than 10$ here in India :) sealed ofc . No such thing as antique or old here not unless things get big PR or something from a brand or a big star which is good for us
Please don’t ever stop doing these videos. Love them!!!
