I’m gonna add the beginning to my 15 LB bar exercises
Really appreciate this channel.
I am about to get into this hobby! You got a lot of information for me to absorb!
I need something for my wrists, to help build. This looks perfect!
Is this staff diameter 1 inch?
Also how tall are you? (I am 6f1. The 6 foot staff i think is ideal, but i also have no clue)
I dont have a big budget, so probably just getting a hardwood dowel 😂
Thanks for the videos!!
thanks Matt
We don’t have hickory in Australia. What are the key attributes for picking a suitable hardwood available here?
Try Blackbutt as a good alternative in Australia to hickory.
@@pasquinilli lovely, thanks Matt
I think the harder the wood, the less likely it will break in action. You can also soak the staff in certain types of oil to strengthen the staff. That will also make the staff heavier and more formidable.
All of my staffs are hickory.
It’s a great wood!!
Great lesson, thank you so much 🙏
Sensei Matt : Bo Staff becomes water in your hands ...! Your technique is very impressive . It's brings "Fluidic Movements " , it flows..I can move my Bo in a similar manner..Excellent lesson Sensei and Thank You Sir..!
I apologize , I am one who appreciates going back to the "Basics " because it's easy for me to forget that , once upon a time , I was a Beginner .! I have to work on my coordination alot..I also have to work on my Stance .! And I Still DROP MY STAFF ! . And , I get reminded of " Spacial Awareness " ...
I have a 5' Hickory Bo Staff , and I love the weight of it and it is tough .!
